Nice bar space, good kitchen, overall positive experience. Beverage service a little too slow for a half full house.
Food was nothing special and the service was slow. Had to track the server down to pay the check after being ignored for 20 minutes.
Hip Hotel Restaurant adjacent to the Capital One Arena inside Hotel Monaco F Street. Service was great! However, I think the Short Rib we both ordered was heavily marinated with a sweeter marinade? A tad overpowering for my taste, and it was slightly overcooked. Drinks were wonderful, and very interesting wine list. Our selection didn't disappoint. Definitely a step above your typical Hotel Restaurant! Overall we Enjoyed our Dinner at Dirty Habit!
had dinner pre-theatre. That menu has some good choices for only $38 and the food was quite good. would have preferred sitting in main restaurant rather than tables around the bar. In summer, I'm sure that's a fun, cheery place to be for drinks, but not dinner on a cold windy day. I will request the main dining room in restaurant next time.
Falafel and noodle salad were dissapointing. Waiter kept bumping into my chair during entire meal as he passed by.
Food was good. Our wait person was very knowledgeable and pleasant however, her timing for bringing the next course, seeing if we needed refills, removing dishes, etc., was just a little bit off.
I have to dirty habits 3 or 4 tines in the past, this time I wanted to take my 21 years old triplets for dinner there. There was a miss understanding in our reservation. But John Hendricks, the manager went above and beyond the calls of duty to ensure we were taken care of us and to resolve the issue. Thank you Mr. Hendricks you made our evening. The kids and I are very grateful, and because of you we will return again to dine at Dirty Habits.
The food was excellent and the service was great. It has a great look and feel and a very vibrant atmosphere. I also loved that the lights were dim and although it’s noisy there is definitely space to be intimate at a table.
A good spot for a quick brunch! Cocktails are a bit expensive, but the bottomless deal makes it worth the money.
Fantastic, friendly, high level food service and great food! Quality management shines through. Bartender could have been a bit friendlier, maybe he was having a bad day -- otherwise the service was outstanding.
We dined here at 8pm on a Thursday. The dining area was closed for a private party; we sat in the bar. It was a little lively but not crowded. The service was outstanding as was the food and cocktails. The decor is industrial modern and eclectic. The vibe is edgy and hip but feels friendly and accepting. We brought our 22year old daughter here to celebrate her birthday and she was not disappointed. We started with roasted brussels sprouts, which were absolutely delicious. The mains were all just as delicious and well-presented. We had arctic char, braised short ribs, poke and chicken wings.
The bar is in the Hotel Monaco, which has a quirky lobby. It's worth visiting the lobby to see more eclectic decor. In fact, you have walk through the lobby to visit the restrooms which are on the second floor. It's definitely an interesting place to visit. I highly recommend DHDC for outstanding food, cocktails and hip ambience.
Went there for Sunday Brunch. Food was prepared in an appealing and tasty way. Waiter was a very nice person and experienced, but had too many tables to take care of an therefore service was very slow.
My friend and I went to Dirty Habit for dinner on 3/3/18. We had a wonderful meal. I had a very tasty braised short rib and she had a very nice branzino. We had an excellent tuscan red wine that went well with both dishes. We were seated in the alcove dining room which was perfect for a couple to have good conversation yet still had the cool vibe of the main dining room. The service was impeccable -- the servers were attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly. The owners of the restaurant should be very proud and confident that Dirty Habit is so well managed and is is a great place for any occasion -- whether it is a romantic evening, a place to hang with friends, a business dinner or going to the bar to see and be seen. I highly recommend it!
MY 1st TIME GREAT EXPERIENCE I HAD A GREAT TIME! EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS PLACE IS AMAZING. HIGHLY RECOMMEND
Posh setting with friendly service and good food and drinks!
We went here due to proximity to the Portrait Gallery. Like the decor. Food is OK. Service overall was pretty poor, with mistakes made in the food order and no apology. Some servers rude/indifferent; other servers warm and friendly.
Love this place - the people, food and especially the drinks are awesome
The service here is very poor. Our server was extremely rude and not accommodating. He would make a face for everything we ask. Went for brunch and we reached there pretty late around 1:30. Were not seated until 2 o'clock, even though there were plenty of vacancy in the restaurant. Had to recheck with them 5 times to get seated. Then our server rushed us to order our stuff which we did. But we came here for brunch and since we were late we expected to at least get the drinks refilled better. At one point, since he was taking forever, I had to ask him to not be skimpy. His reply was for that was, I have to fill up everyone else and I can't do that! Excuse me!! Seriously, if you can't fill up get a refill. We had some friends join in much later not for brunch, but they still went for the drinks even though it was around 3 pm(they stop refilling at 3:30). He did not even get 2 refills for them properly and gave us a 5 minute warning and said he will not be refilling even if its only 3:25 (some of us were not even done with our previous drink). Final nail in the coffin, he wouldn't split our bill 5 ways. I mean our bill was 250$ and if he's unwilling to split it 5 ways, that's ridiculous. I would never recommend this place for Brunch to anyone! Although the bar server seemed nice when we initially went in and were waiting for a table. So I might give another chance to the bar(not restaurant). But seriously, this kind of service is not acceptable whatsoever.
The decor is beautiful! Loved all the food and beverages. Our server Greg was fantastic! Super knowledgeable about the menu and gave such warm service. Will be back to see him and try more tasty dishes!
Dirty Habit is a very classy restaurant. The people, food and ambiance is first class. The outside bar with fireplaces are a great way to spend a quality evening. Its my favorite spot in the city.
Staff was weeded. We had to ask for a server after 12 minutes of being seated at our table. Apps were decent, Whole Fluke was mediocre, rice was crunchy and at the same time gooey. Food came out on time. We passed on dessert.
Great service, ambience and food!
Exceptional Service. Excellent ambiance. Excellent food. Highly recommend.
Great restaurant. All three of us ordered the rib eye steak. A little fatty, but it's a rib eye. All were cooked to the correct temperature. Sides were delicious -- truffle fries. Overall great value.
The first time I went here, it rocked. This past Sunday sucked to say the least; we were rushed to order mimosas/brunch punch, the restaurant apparently ran out of Tabasco sauce, and our server accidentally spilled my mimosa on my phone and didn't even try to clean it much. The vibes at Dirty Habit are awesome, and so is the decor, but they've been officially overshadowed by the poor service.
Dirty Habit is the perfect experience for friends to get together, and catch up over bottomless brunch cocktails. I’d suggest going for bartenders choice!!
My service was beyond sub-par. I was left with no water and empty cups for at least 20minutes between refills. My server never came around to check on the food. I waited 30 minutes just to get my check. Wouldn't go back!
Setting is too industrial. Chair are absurd and cannot be moved. Service was VERY inattentive. Food was good enough but not thrilling. Bar was the best feature. I will return for that...
The ambiance was amazing at this place. The food was interesting. We went on Valentines Day so there was a limited menu but I would say that 2 out of the four dishes we had with the tasting were REALLY good, the others were so so.
Went for Valentine’s Day and were unfortunately very disappointed. I was so excited by their regular menu but the Valentine’s prefix menu didn’t contain anything that had caught my eye in the first place. The food ranged from sub par to inedible (one exception being the truffle ravioli which was the only tasty thing I had). The portions were very small for the price. We also waited an awkwardly long amount of time between certain courses. Overall major let down, won’t be back.
Very good service. Food was hit or miss for the Vday Prix Fixe menu— salt was in abundance in the food, in particular the salmon and duck. Ravioli was excellent. Bass too.
Business lunch menu is quite a value with appetizer, entree and dessert for $22. A glass of wine cost more than the meal! unlike many places, although informed it was a birthday celebration, the restaurant took no steps to acknowledge that occasion.
Food and atmosphere were excellent. However, we felt very rushed. We had a 7:00 reservation and were out the door by 8:00. Very short gaps between appetizers and dinner, and dinner and dessert.
Great food, relaxed and elegant lounge environment.
Tasty meal, nice ambiance, and delicious cocktails, but overall bill was a little pricey.
Overall it was great. The food was awesome and the decor was trendy. There was an item that the kitchen ran out of and instead of asking if we wanted to substitute, the kitchen took it upon themselves to sub for us. It ended up being ok, but our whole table agreed that it would have been better to ask us first.
Our server forgot about us a few times and had us waiting to order. When he brought our bill to us, we were charged for different drinks than what we had ordered ($7more per drink than the price of the correct drink x 14!). We were able to get that corrected with no issues tho...just makes you wonder were we being hoodwinked or was it an honest mistake??
Food and service were fabulous. Loved the truffle fries, short rib, tartare and steak frites. The steak was gigantic and cooked perfectly.
Will definitely be back
My best friend and I met up for brunch. This was my second time at Dirty Habit - the first was for cocktails on the patio. Service was great and the food was very tasty! They had their restaurant week menu available and it was a great selection for $22. My favorite dish of the day was the yogurt/granola/compote - it was absolutely phenomenal! Dirty Habit’s decor is so chic and trendy, it’s definitely one of my top favorite places to frequent!
Absolutely yummy and the service matched the food. Look forward to going back and trying some other items outside of restaurant week.
