Very relaxing and just the place that you can just let your hair down
Realmente increíble! La comida deliciosa, el pato espectacular!
They only offer a brunch menu during the lunch hour. Menu was somewhat limited.
Nice environment, good fusion food, excellent service!
Asked for a quiet table and were seated at a high top in the bar next to a very busy kitchen. My chair had a broken back so couldn't lean on the back. Food good. Really felt rushed and wasting their time.
After all "they had seven events" that evening. Wouldn't care to repeat the dining experience.
Excellent service. Great recommendations. Roasted carrots and sprouts was extremely good. Ribeye was perfect. Peas and bacon—you can’t go wrong with that!
Word of mouth is the best form of advertising, as out of towners, we received a recommendation to visit Dirty Habit. The archaic exterior had us fooled, as our eyes gazed upon the modern industrial interior. Our hostess accommodated us with us interior seating, paired with a high open roof. The food was really good, with the exception of the beignets. The chocolate filling was the best part. I am sure it's because our family compared it to the Cafe Du Monde beignets. Emil was amazing, and ensured we were comfortable and well fed, even as the kitchen closed. I definitely intend on visiting the next time I'm in DC.
Dirty Habit is a great place to gather, however, my outdoor seating request was not honored, and that was disappointing. I managed to still spend over $400.00 and would have likely spent more had my request been honored. The food, drinks and service was very good with that one exception.
It was loud in certain areas. So we had to request a quieter table.
Our waitress asked if
The visit was at best mediocre. The decor is dated, the main thoroughfare is shared by the expiditer station and the food is just ok..... not a place to be revisited.
Brunch was good. Service a little slow as they got busier.
It was pretty loud in there. Good dinner and service
Not many options, wanted to get an omelet, but all they had was smoked salmon omelet, which was shaved raw salmon, I don't eat raw food and they weren't willing to cook it, if I'm paying for it, I guess I feel like I should be able to have it the way I desire, but then there just weren't many options....
This hidden gem is tucked away in the courtyard of the Hotel Monaco, but is an experience not to be missed. The food is exceptional, the cocktails are inventive, and both the interior and exterior spaces are very visually attractive!
Food was absolutely delicious and our server, Alex, was excellent. Great evening!
Great meal. On the pricy side even for DC. Pleasant wait staff, but needs a lot of polishing.
Hidden spot, quiet and not too busy at lunch so good for a business meal. Portion sizes quite mixed - some mains large some tiny and service was quite slow this time.
This place is the best for breakfast or lunch meetings. It’s my favorite spot in DC.
I would definitely recommend Dirty Habit for drinks and appetizers. On this visit was my first for brunch - I had the Dutch pancake which was a little undercooked. The service was fantastic and we sat at the bar with friendly bartenders and staff. Their recommendations on drinks were outstanding. During brunch it was bright and quiet which was enjoyable.
The food was OK. Beignets were amazing. The Dutch baby was WAY too small - mini skillet and not thick. The kids meals are just discounted regular menu items - so a great value for the amount of food. Some menu items had different ingredients than advertised when brought to our table.
Excellent service! Our food was amazing and the craft cocktails were so delicious! The outside courtyard is a must experience!
Delicious food, served by a very professional and friendly staff in a stunning environment. The noise level however was unbearable. Had to lean in over the table to speak to and hear my guest. Otherwise, amazing experience.
The food is very good — sea bass and duck were well prepared and presented. The service leaves quite a bit to be desired. While i’m Sure our server was well intentioned, he could not pace the meal at all. Appetizer arrived with the meal. Drinks took forever. Then he disappeared. Also the atmosphere is a bit too hip — or something — for seniors, at least these two seniors who are usually reasonably adventurous. So we would only recommend it for a much younger crowd.
The food was decent. I had to send back the charred bacon and the ranchero diablo was pretty bland; however, the Dutch pancake was really good and the ribeye was not bad. The service was subpar at best. It took forever to get refills on the water. After trying repeatedly to get the waiters attention, I literally had to call for him at the top of my lungs to get a response. All said, I now need to take my wife out for another Mother’s Day brunch to make up for this unfortunate experience.
Beautiful locale but over priced mediocre food and pretty meh service. Not really into dropping 100$ for a pretty boring and uninteresting meal.
Great ambiance and service! Was a little disappointed because the weather supposedly made the pancake mix off and a bunch of us wanted pancakes. However everything else was pretty good! $18 unlimited mimosas and the "special punch" was awesome too!
The menu is creative and delicious. There are a few great vegetarian options as well. The atmosphere is a little trendy/loud for some diners, but it's worth it if you're a modern-day foodie looking for balanced flavors, fresh ingredients, and an experience that's difficult to recreate at home. The staff are very well-trained. Both the wines and the cocktails are outstanding. Desserts - definitely try their take on a Tiramisu.
There were two private events ongoing while we were eating which makes a review a bit skewed. One of the events was at the bar which ran alongside our row of tables. This made our dinner a little chaotic - lots of coming and going. The main bar area was crowded which was in the next room. I liked the ambiance or would have done if not for the events, even though the layout is a little confusing.
All credit to the chef - food was excellent. I had the duck breast, which I would have liked a little more cooked, but wasn’t asked (it was served almost rare). The appetizer (fresh sardines) was a work of art and delicious. Service was quiet, efficient and friendly. I would certainly try this restaurant again when there are no events.
The omelette was the best I ever had. Unable to see what the difference was from previous ones elsewhere couldn’t figure it out. But definitely will have again. Little pricey.
Had a friend visiting from out of town and took her here for brunch. The food was really great - both our dishes were outstanding, the pork fried rice omelette was really unique and delicious. We did the bottomless mimosas and our waitress was great at keeping us topped off. Will definitely be back!
Creative food, edgy decor and great service. Pricey but good.
It is expensive to drink and eat here, but the prices are equivalent to the food and services you receive. The cocktail menu had unique options for you to choose from. I had the roasted brussell sprouts and carrots and the soft shell crabs as an appetizer. Both were well seasoned and delicious. The short ribs were prepared medium rare and melted in your mouth.
Short rib was too fatty to eat. This is not slow cooked short rib. Ribeye was not so much marbled as layered with think strands of fat. The waiter, when asked about various items in menu, could only repeat what was in the menu.
Superb experience from start to finish. The hosts are attentive, courteous and efficient. The servers are flawless, especially David! Food is imaginative and totally delicious. A big menu to suit all tastes and wallets. Decor is upscale but comfortable. Nice bar... all of them. I eat here routinely and I have never been disappointed. Even the "common" dishes on the menu are prepared expertly and taste fantastic. Ingenious creations like the Curry Lentil vegetable dish entree shouldn't be missed! Highly recommend this place for any meal and great for groups too. And don't miss the outdoor patio with full bar, fire pits and comfy furniture. Parking is a breeze and a bargain. Valet service at the hotel is discounted for diners. Right at the Gallery Place Metro Arena 7th and F exit. (Restaurant is inside the Kimpton Monoco, a gorgeous historic building. Look for the majestic structure with the red awnings.)
Tyler was fantastic. Food was spectacular great experience.
Went over and beyond my expectation. Had a fabulous lunch with a wonderful birthday surprise. Thank you all for making my birthday lunch fabulous.
Love everything about the place. Emil was a great server!
