Proudly celebrating our 50th year anniversary, Di Paolos is an upscale Contemporary/Modern Italian restaurant specializing in cuisine from the Abruzzo region of Italy. Although our signature Orange Size All Jumbo Lump Crabcakes remain our staple, our menu also features several fresh fish and seafood dishes that is delivered daily to our restaurant. We use only Certified Angus Beef, Milk-Fed Veal, Domestic Colorado Lamb Chops, Center-Cut Veal Chops & Double-Bone Center-Cut Pork Chops. While using only the finest and freshest organic tomatoes, extra virgin olive oil, and cheeses from Italy, we make all of our pastas, large ravioli, and hand-cut gnocchi fresh daily. We have a large gorgeous bar room that features Bob Pantano of Philadelphia's 98.1 WOGL every Wednesday night along with top notch bands every Friday & Saturday nights. During spring and summer, we have a huge gorgeous patio with fire pits, and a full bar with nightly entertainment and dinner specials.

This use to be my favorite restaurant. The last two times the wait for a table was 30-40 minutes past our reservation time. There wasn’t a place to stand and the service at the bar was a joke. Then once we were seated our food came out cold. I am really disappointed

Always terrific food and service! We probably dine there 6 or 7 times a year and it is always very good. Best antipasti plate around which is included in dinner!

First of all the decor is out of control, It was soooo tacky! Made no sense not warm at all. Then the music was sooo loud and people were walking by the entire time getting the free bar food while we paid and extreme amount of
Money for our food . We couldn’t even talk during the dinner
It was so loud . We will never go back

It was my first time coming and the food was Delicious, the wait staff was friendly they all greet it with a smile. I have been talking about my experience to every one. I will be back soon with some friends!!

This was the first time my husband and I were at this restaurant. We went on a Wednesday night when they have a daily special for $70. It included a soup or salad, entree, and desert. Also included was your pick of a wine to go with your meal. We were very pleased with the food. My husband had the Veal with Marsala and I had a Flounder Francaise. They both came with asparagus and either pasta or garlic mashed potatoes. The deserts were also fantastic. We couldn't even finish our meals so we took the balance home and will have it for another night. We will definitely go back again.

Our dinner group came from Delaware and had a good experience, food was delicious, our waitress was very busy and rarely came by to check in on us,our water ran down and another drink was needed but no service extended, we had to look for someone else to help, if our service was better I would give the rating higher than good

Had reservation for 9pm and were seated at 9:20pm (ok that's acceptable on a busy Valentine's Day). 45 minutes later we received our beverages and it took over an hour to receive our first course after we were seated. After the second course came 75 minutes from the time we were seated we asked for a second round of beverages which never came but were billed for. Finally after at 11:30pm (2 1/2 hours from our reservation time) we finally got the entree'. After 3 bites, the bitterness of having such a long wait and poor service the enjoyment of eating our meal was long gone. We got boxes to take our food home. Saddest part of the whole experience is we were told that they were a "little behind and our food may take a bit longer than usual to be served". Ok I get it but the wait was obnoxiously long!!!! Other patrons seated near my party were experiencing the same frustration as well. No apologies or even a complimentary round of beverages were offered. All we got from the staff were excuses and a bill for $220 for a party of 3. Shame on the management for allowing this to happen! I am a local patron but will not be returning any time soon and I will be sure to pass along my bad experience to all of my family and friends.

My husband and out dine out very frequently. We understand that on occasion the kitchen is overwhelmed or tables are over booked. If the restaurant is apologetic and accommodating we shrug it off and don’t let it ruin our evening. That was not the case at DiPaolo. We were never treated more rudely anywhere.
We arrived promptly for a 8pm reservation. Immediately it was clear that many couples were waiting and from the look on their faces had been waiting for some time. Yet the hostess claimed it would be 5 minutes. More than 20 minutes later we were finally seated. We shrugged it off and had high hopes for a nice meal when the drinks and salads arrived promptly. However as we waited for our entrees, we heard two couples at close by tables complaining at they just received their entrees and their reservation was at 7pm. I looked at my watch and it was 9pm! They waited two hours! By 9:10 we were already over an hour into our reservation. I flagged down our server and asked if there would be much more of a wait. She said she would find out. Ten minutes later she said they would bring our food very shortly and offered 2 glasses of wine for the long wait which we declined. Finally at 9:30 our entrees arrived. BUT THEY WERE ICE COLD! After waiting an hour and a half to receive cold food we were understandably upset. I had to get up and walk around the restaurant to find our server and ask to speak to a manager. She told us that a manager would be coming over to speak to us. We sat and waited..and waited...and waited. No one came over. Finally I got up and again scoured the restaurant looking for our server. When I found her she told us that we could just leave, that we didnt have to pay for the meal (which we hadn’t eaten anyway). We gave the server $20 since it wasn’t her fault about the food. However the fact that the manager didn't have the decency to come out and speak to us still upsets us. A terrible experience!!

The restaurant was packed and still the food was outstanding, cooked to perfection. Great band, a little loud at first, however, they quickly shifted to music that was perfect for dining. Highly recommend this restaurant. Rare to find a restaurant with food this good that has live music as well. Can’t wait to go back!!

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this place!!! Whenever I am in Wilmington (about once every 2 months), I make a point of going over the Delaware Memorial Bridge and head to DiPaolo's for an awesome dinner. Everyone asks me why I go so far until I take them there at which point they understand.
