Dining on the 5th offers a fresh take on a steakhouse, in a setting evocative of a 1920's supper club. Suited with a white grand piano in the cocktail lounge with a curvilinear bar, Dining on the 5th is decorated with classic black & white photographs of 1920's in Atlantic City. It features elevated Hollywood-style booths where every table is an ocean view, adding a touch of grandeur to every meal.

We went to Chelsea Prime while we were staying at the hotel. We received a special offer with our room for a $100 gift card to the restaurant. The food was very good, although I thought a bit over priced. The view was excellent, the staff was wonderful. We went there for our anniversary and they brought out a special piece of dessert that read "Happy Anniversary" and 2 other smaller dessert options. It was really sweet and unexpected. It was definitely a nice place for a romantic dinner, I wouldn't bring the kids.

We've been at least 2-3 times before but it has never been like this. The food was certainly not up to par. The meat was not cooked to my liking,, the lobster tasted odd. We ordered wine that I'm sure was bad ( we sent it back and were not charged for it, or for it's replacement glass). But first our waitress said they sent up the wrong bottle. Oddly I had heard her say this TWICE to another table. Plus they made us wait for our table despite a plethora of open tables. What gives???

Showed up at 7:40 for a 7:45 reservation & were told to wait 5 minutes when the restaurant was almost empty. I asked for a table by the window, the hostess said no problem. 10 min later we went to tell the hostess we were moving to the bar to wait and she said, "Are you ready?" as though we had been holding them up. Then she sat us as far away from the window as possible. Odered king crab. 40 min later when it hadn't arrived and I asked our waiter, he admitted he had completely forgotten. He offered us free dessert for the trouble. Another 20 minutes for our steaks. Worst ever. Was like sawing a brick of leather. Also, why is their steak sauce sweet? Had to ask for rolls twice. Dessert took 30 min. Cake was cold. Ice cream wa

The atmosphere is the big sell at this retro supper club. The food was really good. The steak was prepared perfectly and had great flavor. The sides lacked a little umphf. For example, I couldn't taste the truffle in the truffled mashed potatoes. Also, the $9 grilled asparagus, which was supposed to be sized to share, was 7 spears. The wait staff was attentive, but seemed more preoccupied with making sure they each had an equal # of tables. Kind of distracting. On the plus side, when our meal took forever to come out of the kitchen, the server comped our dessert. Again, the ambiance is really cool. We sat in a cozy banquette surrounde by old Atlantic city black & white photos. We drank champagne and had a great night.

We started with cocktails & a $120 seafood plateau which was very good. I asked for a dirty olive martini and it came back not dirty so I needed to send it back. Next were salads (wedge & chopped)that cost more than most places but were comparable. The view of the beach and ocean was great (except for the large yellow construction crane in sight. The wine list was much overpriced and I had a bad experience with my steak. I ordered a medium 14oz aged NY strip steak and was served a boneless rib eye. As a result, I sent back while my party continued to eat and received a raw 14oz aged NY strip steak. I sent it back again, and then waited as my party finished their meal. By the time I received my prime steak it was passed its prime.

Having eaten at many of AC's steakhouses, the Chelsea is the one that never disappoints. The setting feels like an old movie where Lauren Bacall and Humphry Bogart will walk in any moment. Service is top notch. The appetizers were all perfect, from the escargot to the fois gras. The steaks were aged and cooked to perfection. Creamed corn A delectable treat. The signature cucumber martini is a must. The only item to pass on would be the chocolate torte which was a bit dry and would have been better warm and oozing.

We had to wait 45 minutes to be seated, even though we had reservation. Bartender had to complain to hostess which was what finally got us seated. Steak was superb, lyonnaise potatoes soggy and not great, and rolls were stale. Waitress was great.

was really looking forward to dining here. We had really great apps, but we were both disappointed in our steaks. The layout of the room was nice, but there was no live music despite the white baby grand. EVERYTHING was way over priced and the service was only ok.
