Excellent service and food, even my special order!
Great to choose a bottle of wine from the on-site wine shop and only pay a corkage charge rather than the usual ridiculous restaurant mark-up. Food is always superb and getting better. Fabulous mussel appetizer. Live music just adds to the tremendous value.
Most everything we've had there was great but the Ahi sandwich was just three little pieces of tuna on a roll that was like baked clay. He was hard to chew and impossible to cut. I finally took off the top and ate it as an open face sandwich. Not anywhere near the $12 it cost. My wife's burger on the other hand was delicious. Don't order the Ahi.
Food was just O.K,, it is always a bit too salty and preparation can be iffy.
Waiter had to come back twice; to tell us first, a main course entree was not available, and secondly, the desert he described to us was not available. Didn't any one tell him ahead of time what food was no longer available? Plus, this was at 5:00 on Sunday, empty restaurant.
One of the entrees arrived incorrectly prepared, but our guest kept it anyway, so she could eat her dinner.
Love this restaurant, good food and good drinks.
Altho the last 2 time have used open table to reserve table, they never seem to honor or have a table when we arrive. Seem to sit folks as they come in. reservations don't seem to matter or take priority.
Great music, great service, great food —fun!!
Always a good value. The only negative were the shrimp tacos: not many shrimp.
Always a good time at Dilly Deli. Happy with food and drinks and music on weekend makes you stay long after you finish dinner.
Friendly staff, very good food, overall a nice lunch experience
Great music and wing night on Wednesday. This Wednesday the tunes were alittle loud. Not usually the case. Good salads ... my fav the kale and butternut with salmon yumm
Service took too long. Our server was experienced and busy (she did her best but everything took too long).
It was clear that the staffing level was insufficient, which has been a theme at Dilly in my experience over several lunches and dinners there in the past 6 months.
Live music, while touted as a feature of the restaurant, is way too loud for such a small venue that Dilly stuffs itself into. We were relieved every time the musicians took a break because then we could actually have a conversation.
The prices are high. Expect a wait if you don’t have reservations.
The saving grace of Dilly is that the food is good enough and there aren’t many other options in Mariemont other than pizza joints.
Server was attentive without being overbearing. The fish and chips were awesome and the pulled pork sandwich was very good. The seasoned fries were actually not seasoned which worked better for us
Always enjoy a stop at the Dilly Cafe. They have several good salads and are accommodating to special dietary needs. This trip wasn't quite as good as my portion of greens was very small.
Always a good choice...cozy location and ample parking.
We went on a Thursday for dinner and were pleasantly surprised by live music. It felt like we were on vacation! Will definitely be back.
Great Wednesday wing night!
Price of wine by the glass was disappointing. I skipped it.
Feels pretty overpriced for what they serve. The menu definitely makes its sound great but the don’t seem to serve it. For example the bruschetta with Beet and goat cheese infused with thyme and honey was just toasted bread with a hunk of goat cheese and maybe 3 tiny cube of beet. That’s no bruschetta haha. Or a grilled Romain salad with seared ahi added but that comes out to $24. The whole seared ahi was just placed on the salad without being sliced - you don’t do that to a beautiful, tender meat on a salad. Hard to eat and have to slice yourself. I just think they need to figure out who they are - a fun, casual place with amazing food that maybe a little more money but is served to perfection. Or a fun, casual place with amazing food that’s cheap.
Have been to Dilly's multiple times and this was absolutely the worse experience we have ever had there. It has been deteriorating over our pas few visits. Food was overcooked. Service was spotty. I ordered a salad instead of fries. Was told the upcharge would be $1 and it was $2.50. Food selection has gotten worse. I guess some people would call it eclectic, but I call it limited.
Will not be back
Great neighborhood place with lots of options. Very accommodating to special requests
Love the food and service. Very crowded and small but the food is worth it. Dont plan on having a conversation however. Soft jazz is great but last night the band was so loud you couldnt talk
Service and food were fine. Good live music however volume is too loud to carry on an easy conversation at dinner. Don't enjoy yelling across the table to others.
Always consistent with great food and wonderful service!!
Emily the bartender was the best
Service was amazing
Definitely be back
We really enjoyed the wine, food and service Thomas did a great job. I love live music however, I thought it was too loud, the volume should have been turned down a few notches we were sitting in the middle of the dining room and we had to really talk loud to each other to talk. That's my only negative on the Dilly Bistro experience. We were seated within a few minutes, menu choices are very nice. I would go here again.
It was a music night and we were sitting across from this incredible band so for me loud, but to be expected . Not a negative as totally enjoyed my evening with my friend! I will say that this was first night EVER that my black bean burger was over cooked, and they did offer to remake immediately when I commented. Still Delish as ever but now I will make sure to say please do not overcook it. It has always been an in-house made burger but this time did not look like it as has gotten much thinner and now looked very formed. Will still order again and will still go back. It is a go to for dinner and movie on Thursday nights! My friend had a burger and it was juicy and she loved it! Looked great. Our server was really sweet and attentive.
Great music and fantastic food, in a casual setting. I really enjoy looking for a bottle of wine, or two, in their shop.
Great place to go for Valentine’s Day! The chocolate lava cake was divine as was our server, Katie!
It was just average in terms of service and food. It was expensive ($100 plus tip) for what we received. And considering how many restaurant choices there are, we were very disappointed and unlikely to return.
Great Valentine's date. Filet was cooked perfectly. The musician created a nice atmosphere. It does definitely gets loud as the dining room fills up.
Dilly is sort of in a class by itself. The food is good pub food, the atmosphere is bar like, the wine availably and pricing is the best in the city. I am a wings fan and went to try their "Wed. Wings night." The variety of wings style available is outstanding and the wings are very good but not outstanding. Pretty much like good wings you can get elsewhere. We both ordered the Mariemont salad which was outstanding, could be served with pride anywhere in town. Service was very attentive and informative. Live music was either good or a distraction depending on how easily you wanted to talk to your dinner companion. We have always liked Dilly and will go back, just treat it for what it is -a good inexpensive pub or bar food experience with an outstanding wine selection at the best price points in town.
I had the quiche which was great. My friend had the grilled romaine salad which she loved. Lots of seating for a late lunch. Large bar area.
Always great food and service at The Dilly! They have a nice selection of liquor for cocktails and and assortment of craft beers. There is something for everyone on the menu!
New ownership is trying hard. . .Ok food, mostly sandwiches and occasional special. Had medium rare prime rib "special". It was warm but had been reheated on the grill, so bottom was gray. Asparagus was ordinary. Mashed potatoes were just that and nothing else. Employees turnover a lot and service lacks a that "special" attention. Beer choices interesting but a bit exoctic and unknown. Wine choices excellent. The crowd is 30's to 80's , with some families. Live music is almost always fun and talented. Room is a shoe box with a nice looking bar. Clean restrooms. Great patio in good weather. Best to get reservations even if waiting in the parking lot. Without reservations they tend to make you wait in the bar. Good place to go with friends for drinks and a meal. We go there often because it is a joint we enjoy.
Went to Dilly for brunch for the first time. Menu was mostly the normal one, with two specials. All the food was good, especially the beer cheese. Service was ok, seemed a bit understaffed that day which is unusual compared to when we go in for dinner.
Family & Friend Hangout❤️
I was a little disappointed that the food came out just OK warm, not really hot. One of our friends did not get her soup with the salad and it came out late. Chalk it up to an off-day I guess.
Prime Rib special night at Dilly. Excellent!
Again, not disappointed! Food, music, server were all wonderful and made a great environment for 3 couples to catch up and enjoy and evening out! Only request - is that the restaurant have a way to chill the bottles of white wine that are bought at the wine shoppe and brought to the table. Short on ice buckets.....
I love and go to Dilly due to the live music and great beer selection. I don't think the food is always consistent, but what we ordered this time was very good.
