My favorite restaurant💓
My boyfriend and I go to Dillon’s all of the time for brunch, and this was our first time going for dinner! It’s a great atmosphere on a cold night, the service is always great and we loved our meals.
Nice atmosphere and yummy food
Reserved an outdoor table on this site to grab an early dinner before heading in to First Night. There was a loud football game broadcast on the screen outdoors, but the noise wasn't a deal-breaker. Inside, where we checked in, the noise was absolutely unbearable -- the game on the TV was at an ear-splitting volume level, and I wonder if it's an OSHA violation for the people who work there. The bar area was quite crowded with unmasked patrons. Bartender wasn't wearing a mask either, and I'd imagine that shouting at the top of one's lungs would be the only way to communicate an order. Pretty crazy given that the Omicron variant is raging.
So we got seated at our table outside, which is a nice outdoor dining setup with plenty of heaters -- temps were in the 40s, so very pleasant. However, that's where the niceties ended. There appeared to be one server for the outdoor area, and I understand that staffing is a challenge in this current climate. We were fine waiting, but the server passed our table four times times without ever even acknowledging us. All she needed to say was "I'll be with you in a minute." We sat there for about 15 minutes, watching her take care of the other tables and continuing to ignore us. We had time to look over the pretty basic menu and decided it wasn't worth it, so we got up and left. No one seemed to notice that, either (we didn't make a scene or anything). We crossed Boylston and had a very nice meal at Summer Shack instead.
Nice feel to the restaurant and staff are friendly. Food was average which was a shame and the night we visited they had no draught beer or soda's which wasn't good either. I would try again, but not in a rush to go back.
I always love to visit Dillon's when I visit Boston! They never disappoint. As is typical there was a great new beer to try and some wonderful, creative, food. I'll be back.
Good food and service. Will return.
Great outdoor heaters, excellent food and service! Safe and happy! Thanks Dillons and staff!
Overall great place with good attentive service. Food was delicious.
Great! Overall perfect for brunch. Fun atmosphere. Sunday football on at the bar. On the louder side so not a place to go if need quiet conversation but we had a great time!
We had a really nice time. However, we were not informed that there was a 2 hour max. We were there to watch the Alabama game (thought it was an Alabama bar) and they told us we had to leave before the game was over.
Underwhelming food and poor menu choices.
Dillons was fantastic! It was a cute little upscale tavern with great food for a good price
We had a reservation for six. They told us they didn’t get the reservation through open table so they stuck us in the back bar where the music was so loud you quite literally could not hear the person sitting next to you (which is fine if that’s the atmosphere you’re going for, not when you reserved a table in their dining room for dinner). The host was not very apologetic or accommodating and they only finally turned down the music a bit when a friend asked to speak to a manager. No one offered an apology or a way to make it better. Do not recommend booking here for any occasion.
convenient and good energy. Had to eat inside with the rain, but everyone was masked and considerate.
Our waitress was very sweet! The ragoons were spicy enough but could have had a more flavorful kick to them. The border and broncho fries were delicious. The outdoor seating near the heat lamps with the string lights created an amazing ambiance and definitely added to our great dining experience. Thanks Dillon staff!
Quick and supper yum! Great American brunch
Excellent food, relaxed atmosphere and great service.
Overall, Dillon's was great! Our server was attentive and friendly. Food was good and a relatively reasonable value for the Back Bay area.
Server was great but the kitchen was very slow
Sunday brunch - great food and service. Ate outside on their lovely patio with heaters (still dress with layers as it’s fall weather). Shared fried pickles, waffles & chicken and smoked salmon eggs Benny. All were super yum and cooked perfectly.
The food and drinks were absolutely amazing!!! We will definitely go back next time we’re in town!
My family and I took my daughter and her college friend out to eat there. It was a nice lively atmosphere. We all had standard bar type food like hamburgers and appetizers. The food was good and we ate a decent meal. The prices were OK, and I spent a little bit more than I was anticipating considering we had no alcoholic beverages
Good variety of foods and prices
Food was mediocre and service was extremely slow despite not being busy. But worst of all they charged my credit card 50$ no show fee ( cc was required to book table) although we came to our reservation on time! ( 15 min early in fact)
Tried calling and emailing Dillons but no response. Will need to dispute with cc company.
Bottom line stay away. So many better places to eat in Boston!
This situation was addressed immediately when we were notified that a mistake was made and you were charged a no-show fee for the reservation. In addition, our marketing manager offered to send you a gift card for your trouble to which you declined. Next time, I hope you'll be empathetic before bashing a restaurant who in fact is quite busy and experience a labor shortage like every other restaurant in the country.
Red Sox fame
Dillon's is always a great time. Great food, drinks and service!
Dillon’s had a really great vibe and energy with amazing food. It is in a great location near the Prudential Center and Newbury Street with a lot of life. Everything we ate was really good, especially the cheeseburger crunch wrap and the crazy bread. The place can get pretty loud which we didn’t mind but could bother some groups. Will definitely be back
We ate outdoors, the vibe was excellent. Service great, and food delicious..
Awesome outdoor area! Great service!
Birthday weekend in Boston!! Loved everything about Dillons!!! Will definitely be back next time in Boston 😊
Food is good for the price point. Service was terrible - server was completely uninterested in being helpful or refilling waters, checking in to see if we need anything, didn't seem interested to sell us any drinks or food.
Great food, decent prices, friendly staff. It's more of a pub so the menu isn't huge but if you're looking for a good meal at good prices Ina great location look no further.
Nice outdoor space. Mostly covered tables; wouldn't do in a torrential downpour but fine in a light rain. Menu is good; something for everyone. Clam chowder, mozzarella sticks, tuna poke bowl, chicken sammy all good.
Came to watch Sunday Football, had a blast!
Had a late lunch before a Red Sox game, while Sunday football games were on. They were quite busy, but service was still good, and food was yummy, they also had a good beer and cocktail menu.
Dillon’s menus are well focussed. The burger and fries were excellent, as well as the entree salad with a tender salmon fillet.
Went before ALDS game, great food, atmosphere and drinks!
Was there for brunch about the time they opened. Food took awhile and was lukewarm at best when served.
Sat outside. They were understaffed. Our server was very nice and was working hard to keep up. Food was good.
