Diez y Seis
La comida no estuvo tan buena he comido mejor comida mexicana el plato principal llegó entre frío y un poco tibio y el postre parece que hubo contaminación cruzada porque huele a pescado
Too expensive and bit difficult to find the entrance, walk through a hotel.
Terrific Dinner. Our waiter, Ari was amazing and took very good care of us. The food was delicious and the setting beautiful. Highly recommend!
Delicious food and great experience. Recommend the Diez Y Sies Experience.
Portions too small and service very slow. Would not go back.
This is our second visit and we just loved it. The food is very good, excellent service and nice atmosphere. It was my birthday and our server went out of his way to make it special. We will be back!!
This what I would call a Mexican Food 2.0 experience in the best possible way. We choose for the 4-cources Diez y Seis menu from the chef. Without exception all that was served tasted very good. We had tuna tartare with taco’s, fresh salad, lobster with guacamole, marinated snapper, delicious octopus, magical Rabo de toro in a sauce based on chocolate and more.
A bit hidden in the Miami jungle of hotels and noisy restaurant this place is worth to choose for. Nothing to improve then? Well, perhaps they could have told us more about the food and preparation. But the food speaks for itself.
Service was very good. Carlos the manager stopped by and checked in on us throughout the dinner and Jonny our waiter was great. Recommend some good dishes.
Service was fine but not great considering we were there just after they opened and most the tables were empty. We had to flag him down to fill our water and he didn’t check in much. We sat outside which we were not aware was overlooking the hotel pool which I wasn’t much of a fan of. Food was very good and prices were as to be expected for the area. Overall just fine, nothing very memorable.
Great food and very fresh! The table was immediately available for me which was great!
We were ignored for 20 min and also afterwards did had to wait very long for the waiter
Tacos and drinks were above average - flavor profiles were good. The ambiance was relaxing and the decor was trendy. Service was subpar. Overall fine experience but nothing to write home about.
Place were really goos. The service were great! Food too, I just order the wrong thing for myself but that’s not their fault right?
The food is not real mexican food
& prices are to high for all the stuff.
And on terrace are a lots of moskitos
which make the whole really stressful.
I don’t know why all the people rate that
restaurant so high. In my opinion it’s not
under the 20 best in sobe!
I love the lively feel of this place – almost like being in front of the beach with friends. I definitely would return to try more dishes. The Mother’s Day buffet had a lot of options (meat, sea food, Mediterranean, Mexican) and servers were very accommodating for our kids, bringing alternate dishes. The mimosas drinks 🍸 were enjoyed and praised by all of the adults. Service was well-timed, friendly.
A l’accueu On nous demande de patienter en buvant un coup au comptoir, puis on nous installe à une table et personne ne nous a servi jusqu’à que la cuisine soit fermée
The service was horrible! One of our guests didn’t get her soup at all. It took a very long time for anyone to even take out order and then very little interaction after. The worst part, was that there was a clump oh hair in our salsa. Never going back! A shame because some of the food was really good.
There was a buffet that was not advertised on OpenTable, so the normal menu was not available. The food was good, but a limited selection. It was $35 per person. Restaurant also charged 18% automatic gratuity on our party of 4. Margarita was tiny and $16. It was $150 for lunch for 2 adults and 2 kids (4 & 1). Service was sparse and the restaurant initially marked us a no show on OpenTable. Spoke with the manager about it. He said that is just what their system does. Oh, the kitchen also set off the fire alarm while I was in the restroom, the rest of lunch the dining room was smoky.
Prices are wrong online, manager refused to give us the “published” prices. Bad customer service and not worth the $75 with tax and tip brunch price for the food. Sad that people in hospitality can still blame the customer for their mistake. Will not return and only stayed because we were starving upon arrival. Hoped the food would make up for the managers awful attitude but sadly didn’t either.
FYI, the google prices say it’s $25 for Vueve and $25 for brunch. It’s actually $35 for brunch and $25 for Chandon, bleh.
I usually never leave bad reviews but wow! This is my second time eating at diez y seiz and i came back since my first time around was not bad. Boy was i wrong. My second visit was just so bad. Our server Joshua was just not made to be a server. We had to beg for water refills we had to ask Each time we needed a new drink. We basically had to do his job for him. Terrible service and when the bill comes we then noticed why the service was horrible, tip included!! No wonder! Will never come back to this place.
Food delicious and very original . Very nose experience .
Everything was very good, but it’s pricey. We were definitely convinced we needed far more food than we could actually eat. It was hard to pay $250 for a family of four. The corn is amazing, as is the cheese quesadilla. I would skip going if you have picky kids—not many options, and my vegetarian kid’s quesadilla had a piece of meat in it, so she refused to touch it after she found it.
Love food and ambiance. Very easy place to take children. Space fir strollers too. . Service good but they cannot seem to get food out in correct order. They bring it nice and hot, but appetizers arrive after main dish and side dish of delicious potatoes arrived early. Granted they did not charge for the corn that came very late but insisted we taste because is so delicious. I would still return but emphasize timing.
Perfect night. We sat outside. Server was pleasant. Food delish. Skirt steak a tender and flavorful. Roast corn was out of this world. Will def be back
Exelent food in very friendly environmemt.. Very kind and helpfuk service. A little dificult to locate.
Can be highly recommended.
Lovely setting. Super nice staff. Very accommodating to kids, but limited menu choices for them. No rice or pasta. All the adults loved menu otherwise.
Great food, awesome service, superb ambiance. Went for Easter brunch . We sat outside overlooking the pool and drank bottomless mimosas and ate til we rolled out of there!
Our food was excellent! We had 3 kids with us, although they didn’t eat great, my husband and I did! They made a plain quesadilla for my son and my daughter enjoyed the skirt steak tacos. My 4 yr old loved the chips and salsa! The red velvet churros were amazing! Our waiter was attentive and personable! Great spot!
Lovely time at this spot. Couple of negatives- expensive for what it is and service a little slow. Would go back, however
I loved this restaurant! Tucked away, amazing ambiance - excellent service - delicious food!
The food has potential some menu items were excellent such as the Cuban tacos and mushroom tacos.
The tuna tostada was horrible and came off as smoked tuna on a bagel chip.
The guacamole and salsa were average.
Service was okay but he kept us waiting for thirty minutes without food waiting for the check.
We enjoyed our tapas selections very much. Flavorful tacos + fabulous guacamole. Our waiter, Luis, gave us outstanding service paying attention to every detail throughout our visit. We will definitely be back.
I have already recommended Diez y Seis to friends! We enjoyed everything from the cocktails to our food to their service (Hugo was a pleasure) and the setting! What a pleasure and wonderful experience! Fantastic cuisine with a twist!
My husband & I enjoyed our dinner at Diez y Seis. The ambiance, service, and food were very good. Luis, our server, was especially helpful with the menu choices. We shared the guacamole and grilled octopus as starters. We then ordered two entrees—the duck enchiladas and chicken tamales. We would have been fine with just one entree, however. Luis also treated me to a lovely birthday dessert, even though I didn’t order dessert since I was so full! It’s not your typical Mexican restaurant, so don’t expect the usual basic fare. If you’re looking for a special Mexican experience, I recommend that you try Diez y Seis.
More Mimosas than Food
We were in the mood for some live music and good Mexican food so, we picked Diez Y seis for our Sunday brunch. Due to a mega pool party on the other side, the music was so loud so we couldn’t take advantage of the outdoor setting. Brunch was up to 4 PM however, by 2:30, there was no more oysters and very limited food options. As pescatarians, the only thing we could enjoy was the Ceviche (not Mexican) which was really fresh. The only other fish on the buffet menu was tasteless. Overall, food quality was poor. The only thing we could not complain about is the bottomless Mimosas and the Guacamole. We couldn’t even have a fish Taco. The only had a beef Taco.
I understand that several big music festivals including Ultra were going on that weekend but, our 1st time impression was below expectations.
You should tell people in advance that because of Ultra weekend there will be too much noise. Throughout lunch there was equipment testing at very high volumes
Such an enjoyable experience. The only reason I rated the noise level high is because of the concert going on outside. We had originally booked an outside table, and the staff was kind enough to call and warn me about the noise level outside, so we moved inside. Even with the noise that could be heard when doors to the deck opened, this was one of my favorite meals in Miami. We will definitely go back!
It was tasty experience. Food was flavorful and service good. Jay was our server and had lots of details on all the dishes. Elena the manager came by and greeted us.
Portions were small but good. We were told that everything was shareable but the menu really didn't reflect that.
