Our first time, great experience. Best gumbo in the French Quarter

The service staff were attentive and the food was delicious. The atmosphere was not stuffy and the vibe was very energetic.

Food was over cooked. Table was in a very high traffic area. The restaurant was very loud. Service was very good.

Steaks were excellent, service was very attentive & friendly. Terrific overall experience. Definitely be back again.

We celebrated our 55th wedding anniversary and couldn't be more pleased. Everything was prepared to perfection, service was impeccable and we were made to feel very special. I would not hesitate to recommend Dickie Brennan's Steakhouse to anyone.

Took a group of business associates for dinner. The food was wonderful and the service was fantastic. The servers were very attentive and were eager to make our dining experience pleasant. I'd always heard great things, but now I know first hand. I'll be back!

One of the BEST spots I have ever eaten! And I travel and eat a whole lot. The waitress was so so friendly. It was my birthday and the restaurant went all out to make my day special!!!

First time for all three of us there. Service was awesome, food was fantastic. Really nothing more to say. Just said it all.

We had an enjoyable experience once we got the right order. After a dinner order mix up the staff and management made it right and the house filet was perfect. We enjoyed the winning combination of flash fried oysters and filet mignon.

We we’re welcomed at the door and our luggage accommodated since we just arrived from the airport. We had a pleasant table. Service was a bit slow for cocktails and then glassware for my straight up martini had to be changed from a tumbler to a martini glass our filet and ribeye were excellent. We also shared the trio of desserts and the serving was giant. It was a good introduction to a week of great meals in New Orleans.

Girls weekend

I loved the online reservation option which was quick and easy. The service from the second you enter is excellent. Everyone is polite, pleasant and considerate. The menu has many options and is easy to read and understand. The meal was delicious. Someone was always checking to see if things were going well and how the food was. There was an A capella group of men who sang old songs which added to the fun.

Everything was wonderful. The service the food and even the birthday balloon surprise. We were late for our reservation due to the French Quarter Fest but it never bothered management or the wait staff.

I was so looking forward to returning back to Dickie Brennan's as the last time I was there it was incredible! I'm sad to report that this visit was quite the opposite - the shrimp starter was so, so and the steak was cool.

It was great! Food and service were superb!

Anniversary

This was our first visit to Dickie Brennan's with 6 Adults and we really enjoyed it.
We will definitely go back.

had our anniversary dinner sat night--- had not been in a very long time. a Trademark of any Brennan restaurant is excellent, spot-on service and great food...they never disappoint!

Great ambience and fantastic customer service from the moment we walked in. Food was good, but not out of this world. Have had better steak other places.

The food and the service at Dickie Brennan’s are exceptional. We were celebrating 3 birthdays at one table and the food and service were just perfect! We are local to New Orleans so we know the restaurant scene and this restaurant is at the top of our list! Remember to wear something a little nicer here because this place is special.

The chateaubriand was excellent. It comes with asperagus, roasted vegetables, potatoes, three sauces and bread. It is easily enugh for 3-4 people.

Service fell short although they tried. Very slow to begin with. Side dishes came out before entrees and they got cold while we waited. Beverage service was below par. Attendant opened the wine (began to crack the seal) before showing the bottle. Overall steaks were delicious and they provided complementary desserts but I wouldn’t venture back anytime soon.

The best place to eat in the French Quarter. Staff is amazing. Service is A++++. Food is always perfectly prepared and delicious.

I ordered the rib-eye. It was awful full of huge hunks of fat (more than your normal rib-eye). If it wasn't fat I was having to remove from my mouth it was gristle. There is no way a cook couldn't tell this was a sub-par piece of meat (for a premium price). They took it off the bill but I left hungry as they did not offer to replace it. My husband whose birthday it was ordered the filet. Also not a great piece of meat. I mention the birthday because this place has this very juvenile "celebration" with a chef's toque as a party hat. The balloons on the table weren't too bad but the hat was over the top. When I tell a restaurant that it is a birthday or special occasion all I ever expect is maybe a free dessert. Which this place does but the creme brûlée was grainy. I would never recommend this place.

Provided a classy, fun, and lively evening for our celebration - service providers were attentive, professional, and entertaining!

This is the restaurant my wife and I frequent for all celebrations together. Well worth the 1 hour drive for us.
