Signature dishes and sides include: The House Filet (served with masa flash-fried Louisiana oysters), Tomato Blue Cheese Napoleon, Pontalba Potatoes, and a Roasted Sweet Potato with Creole Pecan Butter. Dickie Brennan's Steakhouse Ratings and Reviews
The food was good once it arrived but we waited a very long time for the mains (over 1 hour) and we did not get he sides or sauces we ordered! We got different items!! 😳. By this time we just wanted to eat so said nothing but All in it was not the best service for what was an expensive meal. Steaks were nice however.
Two of the meals were well prepared: the porterhouse and the prix fixe filet. Sides were excellent. The other two meals were not up to par for the price. Fish over cooked and the strip was not cooked as requested. Service uneven although friendly. King’s Cake disappointing. Overall we spent $400 and didn’t get the value for the expenditure
Don't bother. The service was just okay. When my wine glass was empty no one bothered to ask if I'd like another. The highlight of the dinner was the bone marrow escargot. The ribeye was tasteless. The chicken was flavorless. It was supposed to come with risotto but for some reason got unseasoned vegetables. The vegetable side dish was so salty we couldn't eat it. The potatoes au gratin were very good. When the waiter took our dishes away and none of the food had been eaten but we said no to a "doggie" bag he didn't ask any questions. That spoke volumes.
Went there for our 45th wedding anniversary. When we got there the place was empty. The Saints were still in there playoff game and the bar was jammed full of people but no one in the restaurant. So it was a very quiet meal. Got very attentive service from the wait staff and they decorated our table for the event. This was not our first visit to this restaurant, been there many times for business/convention meals so we were familiar with their menu. Have never been disappointed in a meal here and this visit was no exception. Our food was excellent, with a nice selection of steaks & seafood to choose from. There are many excellent restaurants in NOLA. If you have not tried this one before, it would be worth your time.
Oh My Gosh, I can't even start to write a review about this place, it was so perfect for my birthday dinner. The wait staff was so on point. We wanted for not. I was so impressed with the changing out of my water glass after it got a bit gunky after bleu cheese. Who does that? I wish everyone did, I hate looking at my nasty glass after you eat something greasy, and here... I didn't have to. I loved that 3 people took care of us, and the fact that the chef cooked our Chateaubriand half well, for my husband, and half medium for me was simply Phenomenal. The fired Oyster that they gave us to sample also, was very tasty, and the tomato salad was good, that I'm still talking about it at home, hoping I can remake it for myself. I could go on and on, but, go try it for yourself.
My wife and I came with 4 other friends the day after the Sugarbowl. They had never been before and we have been 4-5 other times. Our friends were impressed and all of us thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We have always met with great service and the food is great- never disappointed. The Ribeye is awesome!
Absolutely an amateur hour. Shocked at the staff. Most of whom must have been hired that day?
Food missed the point entirely as well. My fillet, a specialty, was sent back 3 times for wrong preparation, no tempature.
Will never make this tourist error again.
The quality of the beef was disappointing. It was correctly prepared. Even cut to tiny bites it was tough. If you make a reservation be sure to ask for a booth or somewhere away from the kitchen. The ambience of our table was terrible. The wait staff congregate by the kitchen as well. The bread pudding was dense and needed more sauce.
