“Top Steakhouses in America” Maxim Magazine and Playboy, and featured in the Wall Street Journal, Dickie Brennan’s Steakhouse serves straightforward prime steaks with a New Orleans touch. Signature dishes and sides include: The House Filet (served with masa flash-fried Louisiana oysters), Tomato Blue Cheese Napoleon, Pontalba Potatoes, and a Roasted Sweet Potato with Creole Pecan Butter. The house favorite dessert is a toss up between the Coconut Cake with a chiffon buttercream and the Bananas Foster Bread Pudding—so go ahead and order both.

Birthday celebration. Ambience was great, wine selection was good.

Food/Service: My father ordered the prime rib, which looked very good when it arrived but must have been a bad cut of meat because it was chewy, hard to cut, and generally inedible. He notified the waiter who seemed annoyed and asked “what do you want me to do about it?” in a curt, unfriendly manner. My father proceeded to order the strip steak instead and it was the same result, well prepared in appearance, but had a long piece of gristle running through it that made it mostly inedible. We let the waiter know again but he seemed highly annoyed, like we were conspiring to get a free meal. That was the part that upset us. I ordered a nice bottle of wine and frankly don’t care about $$, just wanted someone to acknowledge that we didn’t get what we expected and we were made to feel like it was our problem. They did remove the steak from the check but that really wasn’t the point. I don’t believe I will return to the restaurant for the aforementioned reasons.

Really enjoyed it. The steakhouse is always predictably great. We have never had difficulty getting in, even if we did not have prior reservations.

A really great experience..had not been to DB in a while. Service excellent, steaks excellent and great desert. Side order grits was only imperfection. We have addedd DBS to our list when in city

My wife's steak was excellent. Her asparagus did not come until we reminded them however.
I ordered the prix fixe menu and mine was good also. However I must have been given an old menu because I ordered "king cake pain perdu " for desert.
They brought me bread pudding and did not mention anything.
When I returned to the table my wife was eating the bread pudding.
When we told them about the mistake they returned and said the pain Perdu was no longer available.
The ambiance was nice and wait staff very pleasant but those two mistakes made it less than perfect.
