We were placed at the first overflow table when you go to bottom of step. Service was terrible. Filet medium was well done. Had to ask to reorder wine. No one paying attention. Terrible.
Food - mediocre Service - poor Ordered cola, twice but it never came Waiter didn’t know the menu, nor what specials were available. In my opinion, this is a miss, there are too many better restaurants within walking distance to suffer through an experience here
Although the food was superb, as usual, as well as the service, we did notice a slight difference in the polish (or lack thereof) in the staff. Normally the staff is neat as a whistle, but Thursday night they seemed a bit unkempt. We love to come eat steak at DB Steakhouse and will return as often as we can!
The food was excellent, as always. The particular waiter we had could have been more attentive. I told them I wanted to order wine with my dinner but they never returned for that order.
Quality steakhouse menu better than most. Had a crawfish cake special appetizer which was an excellent start, followed by a nice arugula salad.. nicely dressed. Both prime rib and petite filet were perfectly prepared with au jus and french cream sauce. Creamed spinach and truffle Mac both excellent.
The food and service was excellent. Overall an awesome experience. Would recommend to anyone going to New Orleans!!!
Quite crowded and noisy in the bar but staff, food and service was exemplary.
Families last night in New Orleans and we wanted something truly special, and that’s what we got. Everything was outstanding from the cheese plate appetizer and wine to the steaks and side dishes. We even splurged and had the bread pudding and Crème brûlée for desert, and like everything else it was delicious. We will definitely be back!!!!!
I read a yelp review that said this place was not kid friendly. Let me tell you, this place was warm, welcoming and entirely kid friendly while enjoying the best fresh meets and salads around. I was so impressed by the friendly and attentive staff and really touched by how they catered to all of us, especially my children ages 6 and 10. Kid portions, plates split and endless Shirley temples with a cool glass of milk with dessert. Chef Greg and our amazing staff were truly a highlight of our visit to New Orleans. Thank you!
The food and atmosphere was outstanding and as good as that was the entire staff was over the top friendly and made us feel like they had known us for years! Dickie Brennan's will be a must stop on our next visit!
Felt ignored by servers. Other tables more important than ours.
Gray service, amazing food, always a great time!
The hostess was absolutely incompetent. We wait a half hour because she forgot us. The waiter was very gentle, but the arriving experience spoiled the dinner
steak was sent back four times and still not done medium well. no apologies or concern until we addressed a manager after we paid . women’s bathroom was a mess. not a great experience and quality was not as good as previous trips.
Wonderful steak restaurant right in the French Quarter. This is the second time we’ve there and will return if ever in New Orleans again! Great service! We had reservations and got seated right away!
Nice atmosphere. Food was average. I would probably eat here again.
We love Dickie Brennan Steakhouse. always a table, always good food
Dickie Brennan’s never disappoints. Food and service are a 10. I always look forward to going back!!!!
It was fantastic. One of our favorite restaurants in Nola
Awesome meal, great service!!!
Friday in lent so I got the lemon fish with crawfish tails. Very good but the Steak are the prize here.
The food and service was fantastic!! They gave us a beautiful cake for anniversary free!!
Not nearly as good as when I visited New Orleans several years ago.
Staff was professional with the exception of the bar tender.
The food and the service were way above par. The live music was a nice added touch. We will definitely dine there again the next time we are in town.
Excellent prime rib, done just right. The horseradish was fresh and potent. The service was very attentive and friendly.
Excellent food and service.
Always a wonderful experience, great service and tasty food!
Great food and service!
the filet was cooked perfectly and we like our meat rare. I recommend the baked sweet potato with honey and nuts. It is like dessert. The side dishes are large enough to share. The desserts are wonderful. We each got a different kind of cake and couldn't decide which was better. I definitely would return the next time I am in New Orleans.
On checking into the restaurant the person at the counter broke off from our introduction to have a conversation with her colleague ignoring us as they finished their conversation which took a couple of minutes. At that point we should have cancelled and left but with it being a special occasion following my wife's first half marathon we chose to go ahead. The restaurant service was good, the food was just OK and the restaurant was over air conditioned.
A disappointing visit to a New Orleans classic
Outstanding, as usual! Our waiter, Otis, was perfect.
Food quality has gone downhill since last time I visited. Steak was over cooked and tasteless. No crab available for steak toppings. And $35 for a mediocre crab cake? Yikes! Truffle mac and cheese had no flavor and needed salt. Bread pudding and the baked potato were great though! Service was pretty good too. Bartenders were awesome. But with all the other great steakhouses in town I probably wouldn’t recommend this one.
Fabulous from start to finish. We tend to come here for my girls birthday every year. With all of the choices Nola offers, we keep coming back.
I had heard this was a must-do dining spot while in New Orleans. It was definitely disappointing. Upon walking in, the three ladies working at the hostess stand were casually dressed in wrinkled t-shirts & one of them was blowing her nose...not what I expect at a 4+ star restaurant.
We were promptly seated, but nothing else was prompt about the service. Waitstaff was extremely slow and left glasses empty. Ambience was lacking, with dirty ceiling tiles. Food was so-so; we had their take on shrimp & grits as a starter, which I don’t recommend. The wedge salad was good. My husband& I both had filets; his was undercooked & mine was over. The steak, had it been properly cooked, would have been OK, but certainly not close to the best I’ve had & nothing I would return for. I do not recommend putting this place on your must-try list for New Orleans.
Probably the best steak I have ever head... and I've had the opportunity to try quite a few around the world. Excellent service!
Excellent food. The steak was great. The service was a little slow. However it was crowded.
Outstanding service team! Great food! Spectacular menu, fabulous wine list, and a perfect evening. We dined in the main dining room, although you can have the full menu in the bar... great place!
Food plated poorly.
Food was cold when served.l
