Below average food, slow service and no ambience at all
Everything good. Service, food all satisfactory, no ambience but it was early evening mid week
It's a nice place with a very good food.
Great service. Food disappointing. Restaurant style has a basic hotel chain feel.
Outstanding. What a lovely restaurant, good food and service and atmosphere, definitely hope to go back.
One of the worst carbonara we ever had.
Outstanding and professional service from the waiter, food was delicious, nice selection of wines. I would recommend this place to anyone.
An early dinner for a large party. The staff were very welcoming and friendly but also efficient. There is a good range of choices on the menu with indicators for food allergies (although in the pizza section they forgot that cheese is diary). Good choice of wines and bottled or draft beer. Food was very good, with nice sized portions. The ambience is calm and relaxing and I would definitely eat here again
The restaurant is well situated and booking a table was easy, out table was ready on arrival, and the service was attentive without being overbearing. because we ordered an item which took time to prepare staff explained that at time of ordering in a clear and concise manner so no one was disappointed. Food was well cooked and very tasty, all of my party commented upon the quality of the food. The January discount was a welcome bonus and certainly meant that the value for money was outstanding. I would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant to others and will definitely return
Me and my boyfriend visited last Friday, and although quiet when we arrived it soon got busier. Food was delicious and there was a great atmosphere. Our waitress was lovely and gave us lots of recommendations. Had the calamari to start and it was gorgeous. Would definitely return again, it’s the perfect place for a date or anniversary meal.
Thanks for our visit, the staff were all very accommodating and friendly.
Friendly staff, excellent service, good food, value for money.
We were there for Christmas dinner. Spent over 100 pounds for person. Meal was cold and not of good quality. Not worth the $$.
Great food in a lovely convivial setting. The service was friendly but a bit hit and miss no doubt since we were visiting at a busy time in the run up to Xmas.
I wanted to have dinner with a work colleague before setting off home for Christmas - somewhere local but "a bit of a treat". Diciannove was excellent. Not a massive menu, but plenty of choice, with a few creative dishes thrown in! Red Wine risotto is a must, and the Sweet potato bruschetta was certainly different. Nice ambience, good to find Peroni Riserva on sale!
I can thoroughly recommend the restaurant.
I visited with a group of 6 friends for Christmas dinner. Some food was really nice but 3 of us had Carbonara which was way too salty. I mentioned to the waiter, who by the way didn’t ask us if we enjoyed the food, which he acknowledged but that’s it. The real disappointment was the dessert - tiramisu. That should be every italian restaurant pride - it was pricy, small and not worth it. Overall, the ambience of the restaurant was nice but it felt like we paid a lot of money for not such a good food.
We were a group of 11, but it's safe to say we were the least tended to table in the restaurant. And half of the tables were empty! No basket of bread, no attention from the waiters, long wait for the bill and even longer for the cash machine...
The food was good quality, but portions were literally tiny. Personally I had a 3 course meal and left the restaurant hungry. For comparison, I usually struggle to finish my main, especially if I've had a starter. Had a discussion with the rest of the group and they felt the same about portion size...
Traveling from the USA...the service and food was excellent. Wonderful experience all around.
I've been to this restaurant a couple of times before and would go again. It is in the Crowne Plaza Hotel and is really convenient for Blackfriars station - just across the road. But most of all the food is delicious and the service wonderful and you can hear yourself think and catch up with friends so easily here. This is not always possible, I find in many London restaurants. Highly recommended.
Good Italian food. Friendly service and ambience. Quiet enough to talk business. And in very nice Crowne Plaza hotel
Good food quality
Quite and quick
What the restaurant does not tell you is that it is a restaurant in the Crowne Plaza hotel and thus does not have an individual feel. It is also really difficult to find from the outside - because of planning they are not permitted to have a hoarding outside. Having said that, on a cold rainy evening the staff were very welcoming and the food tasty. Wines are expensive.
Great service, great food, lovely ambience. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone
Great for business lunches. Wonderful Italian food in an authentic atmosphere
Very friendly staff and the food was yummy! Bit pricey for the portions though but still worth it
Loved the fresh homemade Pasta followed by really delicious mains. Good, friendly service and a big thank you to Chiara for looking after us.
We had a lovely dinner. Very friendly service and the food was very good . We will come back.
Run by Italians, cooked by Italians, great menu selection and ambiance.
The sharing platter starter is a must
We've visited this restaurant on a number of occasions and remain consistently pleased with the menu choices and the higher end ambience in an area which lacks much depth in decent restaurants at the weekend, when it's a welcome escape from the noisy, very average South Bank chains.
This time the food felt a a bit more ambitious than the chef could produce - nothing wrong with it, just a bit bunged on the plate, lacking a touch of finesse. Our server was a bit "Manuel" placing down a plate of grilled lamb announcing "cod" but that's forgiveable, and the (excellent and friendly Italian Maitre D' was on hand to correct him!). A nice wine list, and generally a nice experience, not spoiled by being in a hotel.
Dicqiannnova is a real gem of a restaurant. Booked for our Anniversary and didn’t disappoint. Have traveled extensively in Italy and this was without doubt the most authentic food I have tasted outside of the country. The Scallops as a Prima and the Ragu for the Secondi are a must. Also great vegetarian options. Well worth a visit before it gets spoiled by the London masses.
Wonderful food, fantastic staff. The Tagliatelle is a must!
the ambiance was perfect for an informal business lunch. the staff were very attentive. the tiramisu was the best I have tasted in years!!
Food and wine were lovely. Friendly and efficient service. I would go back.
A hidden gem,go there before the rest of the world finds out about it a d you can't get a table!
Magnificent fresh food, service and value.
One of two friendly restaurants in the Crowne Plaza Hotel (the other being a very reliable Chinese). Reasonably authentic upmarket Italian food served in a relaxed atmosphere.
A lovely civilized restaurant that prides itself on it's wide wine list and authentic freshly prepared Italian cuisine. Perfect for business lunches or dinners as well as a great venue where one can eat and talk in comfort. Service attentive without being overbearing. I would wholeheartedly recommend it.
Went here years ago, it was lively and food was good. Must have changed hands as now it's just a run of the mill hotel restaurant. Only four guests the whole time (evening) we were there (including the two of us)
Perfectly nice place but empty. Beware, it really is a sharing menu restaurant. It is worth giving it a go.
Good menu - some well selected wines. Pleasant ambience and well above average for a Hotel restaurant.
The service and food was excellent, we all enjoyed the atmosphere and our main waiter (did not know her name) was delightful.
Loved the food.
We dined on a Saturday at 6.45pm onwards.
Great location and decor.
Not many people there at that time, so not much ambience. Not many people there at 8.30pm either when we left.
