Diane’s Saddleback Grill
Food was very salty. Lamb was 50% fat. They eliminated dinner salad with entrees and in fine print on the appetizer page, they state a 3% surcharge will be added to our check. When I expressed my multiple disappointments to our server, not even a sorry was expressed. Most years we go there 6-7 times. This was our first time this year and likely the last time.
Very good food, excellent taste have never had a bad meal here.
Great Service. Great food. The lobster escargot very tasty and the Filet was perfect would definitely come again. Karaoke night but was actually kind of fun and not too loud!
Made reservations from out of state to celebrate my anniversary with my girl. Sat down and was rushed from the very start. Server didn’t even introduce himself. His opening line was “Do you know what you want?” The rest of the experience followed suit. I work in the service industry in Vegas and was shocked at the lack of service we received. The bill was on the table as we received our food. Very u fortunate because the food tasted good. Won’t be returning unfortunately due to that showing.
Great dinner with out of town guest. We all ordered from the early bird specials. My guest enjoyed the filet of sole and husband had the chicken Marsala. All excellently prepared and generous portions. I had the schnitzel and the sauce was excellent
Service was good. Like the casual upscale ambiance.
Great dirty martini also.
See you again soon.
There needs to be a complete overhaul of the menu and standards for service. The menu was boring, outdated and poorly executed from preparation to presentation and expressed little to no value as a dining experience. This community wants and deserves better....much better!
We had heard that the food was amazing, but we really were blown away! Everything was SO delicious from the appetizer to dessert. We would highly recommend trying this restaurant, you won't be disappointed!
Food was delicious, the chicken pot pie was amazing and the salmon was also wonder, cooked perfectly. The service was good considering how busy the were, the kitchen was slammed but still able to get amazing food!
Best Fish and chips ever! Lobster Mac and Cheese was fabulous. Great menu, and the hospitality was beyond good. So cute, quaint and romantic. Great view. Very clean everywhere. Servers/bartenders were fantastic. Highly recommend, and, we will be back!!!!
I’ve had good experiences here before, but boy were they off this night. Ordered boneless short rib and it was barely room temperature and dry as a bone. Waitress didn’t come by to ask how the food was. Manager came by and I told him it was no bueno so he took my plate without asking me if I wanted something else. Two friends came and joined us and a different server just literally “dropped” more napkins and extra forks on the table and walked away. More napkins and forks than we needed so those just sat there in our way for the rest of the meal. Went away very disappointed in a restaurant I used to like a lot.
Wants to be fancy. But the food isn't quite up to snuff. Massive servings, which they seem to do to make up for the lack of finesse. Just okay. We vacation once a year in Lake Arrowhead, and this is the first try at this place. Not a new favorite. Might try again -- but only because choices are limited. Best in the area by far is Stone Creek Bistro. Unbelievable food, great service. They know how to do it right.
Wonderful!!!! GREAT food, loved the feel of everything!
The ribs are a must!
Great portions and friendly service.
Got the special for the evening of peppercorn steak. Best steak I've ever had.
Friendly staff and good food in a cosy setting. The bread pudding was excellent! It was karaoke night but not intrusive on our conversation and in fact very good singers so added to the enjoyment of our meal.
Our only complaint was the loud conversation coming from your bar patrons that was disruptive to an otherwise enjoyable dinner!!
A great meal - fish and chips! We'll be back next Tuesday.
We loved our dinner. The pasta dish was the best I had ever tasted. My husband had the salmon and said it was delicious. The chef also put a unique spin on a caprese salad. Yum!
Too quiet for such a lovely place. Maybe our early dining practice is a contributor; however, I would highly recommend the SI Grill to all.
We were pleasantly surprised great!. We'd all but given up on dining out while at The Lake. We hadn't eaten at this location since it was The Nest, which we loved. We'll be back. Only complaint was that the music in the bar was loud in the restaurant. Our server,Ariana was
Ranked 2nd highest for the area on a major review site. Food was good, not great, but extremely over-priced for the quality. VERY understaffed with many dirty tables just sitting there as the Hotel Manager and another employee just sat watching and did nothing. There were only 3 other customers at the time we were there. I cannot return to this restaurant based on my experience.
We went for Easter dinner. We were promptly seated and drink order taken. My husband had the rib eye steak that he said was excellent. Grilled just right. I had the pork schnitzel and it too was excellent. Portions are very generous Our server was friendly and service was well timed Tiramisu for dessert was great as well.
Recommend this place and will return.
Delicious food. Pleasant server. Beautiful restaurant. We love coming here.
The ambiance was nice and the main server was also nice. The food was almost inedible....I ordered a pork chop with the sauce on the side and it was so tough I could barely cut it. I ended up sharing my husband's steak. The wedge salad was okay but even that was tough to cut! The wine arrived late after the appetizer. At one point I had no knife as it had been ironically taken away with the salad...when I asked another server for a new knife I got serious attitude and she passed me a number of times before delivering me a knife. I will never return. The music was nice. I was surprised by all of this as it had had very nice reviews.
Hits and Misses! The lobster escargot and tuna shashimi were excellent! My husband had the duck and he thought it was pretty good. I had the sole and it was awful... It was very mushy and was supposed to be prepared with a beurre bland sauce - it came out in some Cajun style. The service was good, and it's an interesting little place. I might try it again... Just for the lobster!
I was concerned that with a complex and varied menu, some of the entrees might be of average quality. Fortunately, that was not the case. Everybody's meal was delicious.
Diane’s was the ideal cozy homestead to find at the end of a late night drive through stormy winter weather, with prompt service, delicious, piping hot food, and an excellent wine selection (for the non-drivers). We found the menu a refreshing blend of rustic and refined - the lobster escargot in particular was delightful. The staff were courteous, prompt, and kept service moving commendably while they simultaneously battled some difficulties with the building (power and leaks in the enclosed patio) due to the storm. Menu pricing is in line with restaurants in the city, and well worth it, considering the quality and variety of the food, as well as the restaurant’s location. I would enthusiastically recommend Diane’s for a nice evening out in the Lake Arrowhead area.
Our food was delicious. Arrived in good time. We had two waitresses that were very friendly and accommodating. Our overall service was outstanding.
