   For the venue, I would hope for something on par with the restaurants at our art museums. But alas. It was OK. That’s all. I wouldn’t go there if not for convenience. But compared to concession food, it’s a win.

   Service and some of the food was fine. The mushrooms were so salty that none of the four of us liked them. Mushrooms were a side dish on two dinners and I ordered an additional side of mushrooms. Except for tastes, none was eaten. Far too salty. We showed the waitress the mushroom side dish was uneaten and asked her to take it off the check. She never bothered and we paid for it along with everything else. I ordered my salmon grilled instead of seared and it came partly burnt and dried out. Lovely restaurant, and wonderfully convenient if you are seeing a show in the Hobby center. However, they need to improve their food preparation, and especially reduce the amount of salt.

   A bizarre and disappointing experience. I booked a table with lots of time before a show so that we would not be rushed. One of our second course meals arrived before the first course even showed up. I asked our server if we could please have the courses one at a time and for the entire table not just one person and the single second course was taken away. Then the first and second course arrived together for the entire table. Once again, requested that we only get the first course followed by the second course. All the second courses were taken away and then before everyone at the table was finished with the first course, we were once again asked if we were ready for the second courses. When they arrived at the table (for the second/third time), the meals were disappointing. Then they remained on the table for the remainder of our meal, long after we finished eating and even after our desserts were served and eaten. We eventually stacked the plates to have more room on the table. Still, the plates remained even after we requested and paid the bill. Is it unusual to expect your meal to come out in order and for plates to be cleared away afterwards? What was the obsession with serving the one meal that it had to come out repeatedly? Several waitstaff walked past our table with the stack of dishes without any of them seeming to notice. We have had good experiences at this restaurant before, but will likely not return. Unfortunate because the location is perfect for before a show, but on this occasion, the food was hit or miss. Some items were very good, but others were not worth eating. And the service was a bit of a disaster. Do not recommend.

   Entire staff was professional, kind, accommodating paired with great conversations. We especially enjoyed being graciously attended to by Darryl (hope I spelled it correctly)...am bringing my son, Garrett, back again on Tuesday night and look forward to enjoying some one on one mother/son time.    We were seated promptly, received our drinks quickly, our orders were taken right away and the food was great. Our server was attentive and helpful. Only the soup of the day, gumbo, did not have enough roux or chicken and veggies for our taste. More of a Creole style with a bit of tomato base and small pieces of sausage. Everything else we ordered was tip top. We were able to have an enjoyable and leisurely meal at our pace, prior to our 7:30 play at Hobby Center. Would definitely eat at Diana's again at the Hobby Center.

    Seafood pasta was average and overpriced as most other menu items. Service was okay this visit versus being very good to exceptional on past visits Food was served at different times as apparently my order was lost and not processed. $25+ for a glass of average red wine is a little over the top. including a very long wait to get drinks. Other than being very convinent for dinner before a performance at The Hobby Center, based upon this last experience it will be a little difficult to justify another visit. However salads, shrimp cocktai and deserts have always been consistent and are reasonably priced so this maybe a better menu choice for any future visit.

    We love Diana for pre-show lunches. With reservations made well in advance they tried to seat us upstairs and we didn't understand that, especially since we were earlier than our reservation time and there were lots of empty tables downstairs. They complied and put us downstairs but just don't understand that at all.

    After trying to get a Reservation to have dinner or lunch prior to theater, I was a quite disappointed for sure. Everyone was very nice, the appetizer - spinach artichoke dip was wonderful. Wine list was a nice selection. Main courses way over cooked . Key lime pie was just okay serving size too large and looked like a store bought pie.

    This was our first time at Diana Grill. Service was great, friendly, and helpful with a good balance checking in on us. Food was flavorful and well presented. I had the chicken marsala and my friend the 10 oz steak. We also had the pimento cheese, which paired nicely with the pinot noir. Vidi helped us with dessert and corking the wine for intermission. Loved that it was convenient, and the whole theater experience felt less rushed. Will definitely come again!!!

    Had my grandson with me to see play. We had great visit because service was slow and sporadic. First time I ever got a glass of iced tea at room temperature and no ice. The food once we got it was good.

    Described perfectly by the word “mid-spensive.” Medium tier food that was fine for the occasion, tasty but not anything special to write home about. Best part is convenience before a show, would do for this again particularly if transport issues, but would never seek out without having hobby center plans.

    Expensive to take a family out before a show - but the food, ambience, and service were impeccable. Also taking into account that the Grill is located inside the Hobby Center it does make for an enjoyable and lovely day out.

    Dined at the Diana American Grill prior to watching Legally Blonde the Musical, which the location is extremely convenient for a pre-show dinner. I highly recommend the steak with blue cheese butter!

    The best thing about Diana is the convenience of having a meal before heading to a show in the theater. The servers are great at getting you out in time for the performance. I enjoy the cocktail specials, but the food is mediocre, and you pay for the proximity to the theater.

    Started off sat at a table with a light so bright above us it felt like we were being interrogated. It took 15 minutes for them to dim it a little. Appetizer smoked Gouda was basic, something you can grab at H‑E‑B. Wife had trout, which had a distinct fishy taste. We started with two old fashions, which had less than half the glass full; it wouldn’t have been a huge deal but within 2 minutes of being served, another waiter brought an old fashioned to the table next to us that had a proper (3/4 glass) pour. We went in knowing we would be paying a premium for a restaurant attached to the theater. However, the service and food were far below expectations.

    Diana is a great start for an evening at the theater. We usually sit at the bar but occasionally sit at a table. The food is great and the portions are not small so share with someone if you don't want to leave food behind. (no food in the theater) It's kinda pricey though. the cocktails are a bit overpriced but good. the staff knows they are serving ticket holders do they are very good about getting you out in time for the show. **Bring a "sippy cup" to take your beverage into the show. i usually get a wine to go

    I treated my daughter to dinner & a play. The service started good but slowed down considerably with the bar order. The restaurant must know people will order cocktails but doesn’t staff with enough bartenders. The house salad with shrimp was like eating the lawn clippings! Horrible choice of lettuce. Our dessert did not arrive & we had to pour our just delivered cappuccinos into to-go cups, again because not enough help.
