The only good thing about the meals were the fries. The service was terrible. Waitress was never to be found. Did not check in at all, we sat without water for 20 minutes, bread on my sandwich was so hard it cut my mouth, chicken was dry, burger was dry. Disgusting. Will never go back or recommend. Now I understand why it was so easy to get a table on a Saturday night.

We had to ask to be moved to a different table because the table they seated us at was in a door way, our waitress was not to be found after she served our drinks and took our dinner orders .Our reservations were for 7:45 and we were served our dinners after we complained @9:20 Pm , the food was salty and not the quality they claim on there menu. Very disappointed

This was my first dining here. I must say I was overly impressed. Everything was great. I ordered crabcakes delicious, New York strip steak delicious, they had mushrooms as a side dish,delicious never seen that on a menu as a side dish. I love mushrooms. Bread and butter delicious. Drinks delicious. I will be back again and again.

Food is amazing! Service was great when it was there, but drinks were empty for a long time, etc. The first time we sat in the porch and froze, this time we sat inside and cooked. Picking your knife is just weird. Did I mention the food is amazing? Try the clam chowder!

Food was good . Our server was good but became overwhelmed toward the end of our meal. It took a long time to get our bill. She either had too many tables or was helping other servers.

It took us 20 Minutes from when we ordered drinks to get them, and then our food was even longer. Steak was over done, and service was very poor. Our bill for two of us was $120 for two meals and 4 drinks total. Overall, the restaurant was nice, but service and food was poor.

First time there and it will be the last. We went there for my son's birthday and we were all sorry we did. He and my wife had steaks which looked great but had no flavor/seasoning. I had the salmon which was okay nothing special. My daughter ordered steak medium well. First one was more like medium rare. 20 minutes later the 2nd one was the same. They wanted to try again but by this time everyone was done eating and she had enough. The server said he would have the manager come over. She never showed up. Finally showed up after she was asked a second time 15 minutes later. Service was extremely slow. The three of us that did eat were all not feeling well to our stomachs an hour later. We all expected more from a restaurant that is supposedly a steak & seafood place. I will say that the atmosphere was good and the wait staff was nice and polite. Maybe it was just an "off night" but unfortunately none of us we be back.

Had a great date night here. Service was excellent, multiple staff members asked if we needed anything throughout dinner. Food tasted amazing and prices were pretty good for a seemingly upscale restaurant.

I would only recommend this to the people I don't like.

Diamonds Steak & Seafood was the perfect spot for a Valentine's treat. My wife and I were completely impressed with our service and very satisfied with our entrees. We will recommend this spot to all our friends and family.

Definitely would not recommend for the steak, which is sad since it is a steak house. Go to apple bees... the quality is the same. Lobster was great tho but for the price of the steak and lobster combo, no..

It was fun to “pick your weapon”, the service was great.

We ordered perch and crab cakes with a few cocktails. The drinks were great, the crab cakes were good (skip the sauce), and the perch was also good. The green beans were fresh and delicious. My one negative takeaway was the fries. At a steakhouse, you expect a steak fry and if not a steak fry, then a natural cut fresh fry. What they serve looked and tasted like a commercial coated fry, which was disappointing.

We celebrated a birthday and the food and service was wonderful. We all enjoyed the background music and you could have a meaningful conversation because the acoustics allowed it. It was a quiet atmosphere.

Ribeye was perfectly prepared and the service was outstanding.

Delicious steak and salmon. Lovely wines. However, service was inconsistent. Our server didn’t come by as often as we would have liked. My husband wanted to have a second glass of wine with his salmon. Server finally came by to fill glass, unfortunately after he had finished his meal. (We also noticed that minutes went by when there were actually no wait staff in the restaurant.) Management should consider meeting with servers for some tips on how to do a better job. Friendly staff though. Great food. Pleasant ambiance.

We were seated promptly by very friendly staff. Took way too long to get a beverage. Waitress was friendly, but didn’t check back with us on drink orders. Apologized for the extreme delay and said the round would be taken off the bill.... which it wasn’t.
The food however, was off the charts! Everything was cooked to perfection, served hot and tasted delicious. Will definitely go back for the wonderful food. Hopefully the bar service will be better!

Spotty service, steaks not cooked to proper temperature, not very flavorful

It was a great experience it was just so dark I couldn’t really see.

Food tasted like all they do is heat up precooked frozen dishes out of the box from the grocery store.

Everything was good

This is my second time at this restaurant - we brought some friends with us. We all had a very good meal and good service. The only downside is the parking in Royal Oak, but I don't think the restaurant can do anything about that!

The appetizers were delicious - brie, spinach dip and vegetable carpaccio. For my main meal I had the Diamond's Signature Steak Salad and while the steak was cooked well, the salad was under-whelming for the price. Service started out well, but got very slow after the appetizers were ordered.

It was “ok”. Not great. Not bad. Food was average. I had chicken piccata and wife had scallops. We split the crab cake app. Wasn’t overly priced. Service was good. Not a bad experience, but, nothing really special either.

I made the reservation and noted it was for my birthday. When we arrived and said our reservation was made on Open Table for Jacki, they took us right back. I know it usually takes a min for most restaurants to check and mark it that we came and it didn’t seem like they did that. When I checked my email, it stated I did not show up for my reservation. I checked the box that I did show up. We arrived at 8:05 for an 8 pm reservation. Since it was my birthday, I was bummed that our table wasn’t as nice as I would have expected for a special occasion. It was very dim lighting and I had to use my flashlight on my phone to read the menu. A candle on The table would have been nice. Other tables had candles, just not our section. My boyfriends drink had dish bubbles in it and we asked for a manager and she brought out a new one. We asked our server to bring an extra shot of Makers 46 and she never brought it. Everyone was friendly. Just a little disappointed with some minor details. I would go back to give it another try.

Certainly one of the best steak houses around! I live in Downtown Detroit and will make a special trip to Diamonds, which is pretty uncommon for a city dweller who has so many other options to eat nearby. Great job to the management, staff, and chef!

I clearly understand it was NYE but this was a miss for us. The manager at host stand was not super friendly - she was rushed and stressed. It seemed she needed help. The waitress repeatedly forgot our drinks - four times out of four drinks. We would have had more. One entree was great - one was not. Crab cakes delicious and perfect - salad an absolute joke. I would not recommend based on this experience.
