The food was outstanding as was the service we bought friends it was their first visit and they really enjoyed the whole experience
Of course dinner was delicious! That’s why we keep coming back! Keep up the great work! We’ll be back!
Best meal I’ve had in years! Everything was perfect.
Great service and the food was very good as well. Loved the ambiance and would absolutely return for a date or with family. Also love the small fancy Italian dining feel.
Dinner with friends this evening, so we chose Diamond’s for convenient location. Been to Diamond’s many times and it usually is satisfactory, although I thought tonight was exceptionally good! Nice additions to the menu, great service and overall very pleasant dinner!
Always a great dining experience when my group of friends dine here; lunch or dinner. Atmosphere is outstanding and the service is 150%. Recommend it highy!!!!
Another great meal at Diamonds. Food was wonderful. We had the mixed seafood appetizer. Salmon special, veal with crab topping special, crabcake special, and lamb chops were all to die for. Wait staff was on top of it and very attentive. Will dedinitely be back.
This was not my first visit. Always enjoy a great meal here. Food is delicious and service is excellent. Would definitely recommend this restaurant for fine dining.
I have loved this place for years loved when they were in Chambersburg and love them now. We haven't been since they moved to Pennington. this is our first visit in the near location. They have not missed a beat; prime steaks, fresh seafood, outstanding wine list, and great signature cocktails. We were there for Easter dinner and tried a couple of the specials the artichoke appetizer was outstanding and I'm not even a fan of artichokes my wife is. The boys had the colossal crab cocktail which was stellar. For dinner we had two surf and turf's and two of the tomahawk prime rib. Desert did not disappoint either the creme brulee, tiramisu and chocolate lava cake are not to be missed.
Had a great filet mignon. Our waitress, Kelly was excellent. We have never been disappointed at this restaurant. Everything on the menu is excellent. Very creative and always have wonderful specials available.
My wife’s birthday, which I had stated in my open table online reservation. To that end, I was expecting some sort of little birthday cake or something like that at the end of our dinner, which is why I thought you asked if it was a special occasion in the first place. I did not want to say anything out loud because I wanted it to be a surprise for my wife. Unfortunately that did not happen. Other than that it was a great experience. We have been loyal patrons of diamonds since 1985, When the restaurant was still located on Kent Street in Chambersburg Trenton. We got engaged there in November 1985 so diamonds hold a special place in both of our hearts. Thank you for the opportunity to leave this message
Very good food and service. The music playlist is getting a little stale but management must feel it adds to the atmosphere; they could cut it completely and probably not lose anything (or anyone).
Diamonds is a super classic up scale italian dining experience. The oysters and burratta were a great way to start the meal. My boyfriend had the pork chop which was tender and juicy, and i opted for the sachetti truffle pasta which was tasty and fresh. We both kind if shared our dishes and the meal was excellent. The wine list was not great but good the bottle selection was much better then the wines by the glass, we picked the Chataneuf du Pape, very good. We were too full for dessert but took some home which was also good.
My husband and I decided to try Diamonds for lunch on a Sunday. We made reservations for 12:30pm. After reading the lunch menu online we were excited to try the sandwiches and pizza that were listed. However we were disappointed to find out after we were seated that they do not have a lunch menu only a dinner menu. We weren’t interested in a full dinner entree but decided to stay and enjoy a meal.
Our waitress wasn’t the most friendly or attentive especially since there were only four other tables occupied. We both ordered the Fettuccine Alfredo with sausage which was very good. Your entree doesn’t come with soup or salad which I thought was odd considering the price was $19 for the meal.
Always good food and service and very pleasant wait staff
Asked for a round table didn’t get and was seated in the “food servers” and wait staff runway.
Too much commotion.
Not crowded could have been seated in a quiet private room
Always have a wonderful meal when we go! You really need to try it!!
The Maitre’D or host ruined the evening and the meal. The evening went from bad to worse. We arrived 5 minutes early for our reservation and were greeted “indifferently” by the Maitre’D who told us it would be about 10 minutes before the table would be ready. So we grabbed a drink at the bar and 10 minutes later I asked if our table was ready I was brusquely told I will get you when it’s ready which turned out to be another 20 minutes more. When a server took us to the table we politely asked if we could be moved to a quieter table in the corner near where we were and vacant, we were told no with no explanation. A little while later the Maitre’D came over to ask if there was a problem. When my wife started to explain he rudely and abruptly walked away without explanation and not listening. Service was very slow despite our servers best efforts. It appeared that the were understaffed. The only redeeming factor was that the food was good despite the fact that one of the meals was incorrect. One order was for a veal chop and my friend was served a pork chop. He was then told he could eat or they would prepare the veal chop which would take another 15 minutes. The other three of us were already served our meals. When he asked if he ate the pork chop would they comp the meal the answer was no. The server left and then came back a few minutes later and said there would be no charge. I also noticed that the booth next to us sent back to the kitchen 3 of their 4 orders. Not a good night for the restaurant. During this exchange the Maitre’D returned and insulted my friend. It was a 3 hour unpleasant ordeal that leaves me feeling I will never go back.
The NY Strip was one of the best steaks I have had in a long time!
Inexperienced wait person
Good food but overpriced overall. The specials are way overpriced. Again a good experience but too pricey.
We come here every year for a while now to celebrate my birthday. My favorite restaurant. Food is absolutely amazing ..the service is great .. The staff is friendly and i love the atmosphere... Best place to eat
Excellent dinner. Everyone enjoyed their meals, and it made it that much better having Will R. as our server. He was excellent. Cant wait to go back!
Long time diners of Diamond's going back to the original on Kent Street. This meal was outstanding and we've had countless ones. A little busy due to Valentine dining but not an issue. Entire meal from start to finish was perfect. We had a veal chop, filet oscar special, and salmon special. All three apps were also specials (buratta, eggplant, mushrooms). Totally on the money.
The food was excellent-fun atmosphere. Our only complaint-We felt if a special is $50-we should have been told. The waitress never gave us any prices for specials. I asked the price for one of the special appetizers , but never thought a veal dish would be $50-my husband had a great steak which was $32.
we love: the convenience of plentiful parking; the authentic Italian American cuisine; and hospitable atmosphere that was imported from "The Burg"!!
Arrived early for my reservation that was scheduled for 8pm and was not seated until almost 835 after being told it was a 15 minute wait because they were “backed up”. Once we were seated , which we were told just do ourselves and someone would be over to clean the table,it took another 15 minutes for someone to even come over and take our drinks and then was surprised when we didn’t know what we wanted because we were not even given menus because again we had to seat ourselves. After the waiter took our order another waiter came over after 10 minutes to take our order and offered us bread and apologized for the wait and still we did not have menus until my girlfriend asked the host for menus. Another 15 minutes went by and we still did not receive the bread the waiter had promised at this point our wait for anything other than drinks was more than an hour, when we had a reservation. The level of service in this restaurant that boasts about its service ratings from 1999 in its lobby was disappointing to say the least . Overall the food was ok but it was not worth the wait or the price. This restaurant is no longer stand alone in the burg anymore and has to remember its one of many Italian restaurants in a strip mall in central New Jersey and if this is the level of service it provides it will be come history along with the many others that came before it.i will say the manager comped desert and after dinner drinks but that was not enough to salvage an overall poor experience.
Great spot for some of the best dining in the area. This was a great restaurant in the old location and is just as good now.
Always an owner/host on site. Love the food.
Diamonds doesn't disappoint, which is good since it is on the pricier side. We got chicken marsala and a pasta dish which were quite tasty. Also got the bacon bbq shrimp - they were over priced and over cooked, but there bread is always a knockout!
2 three course meals first the appetizers 3 medium bacon bbq shrimp very over cooked and to much bbq sauce .for $14.00 poor value, 2 salads average at best. 2 14oz pock center cut chops. the chops had been setting a salt brine for way to long to the point we thought we were eating virginia salt cured tavern ham , with over cooked yellow broccoli. My wife and i will not return very disappointed waist of time and good money
A repeat visit, this time was probably the best. Opening with a Baratta with fresh basil and tomatoes, a twin ball presentation, set the tone. The sausage bread was good, not great. I think it was more me than the bread. But the shrimp fridiavlo on angel hair was just perfectly cooked and seasoned. The others were equally satisfied with their meal, which ended with an obligatory cannoli.
Over priced special- ordered off of suggested specials- prices never stated end up for veal & Morels -43.95
Other dish was salmon Florentine - salmon was over cook dish was covered in oil and there was no bed of spinach.
I ordered a New York strip medium rare and 7/8 of the steak was medium. Our food took nearly 35 minutes to reach us. My wife and I will not return. But, to be fair, I have to say the chocolate brownie w/Ice cream dessert was very good.
No words place was exceptional !!! Awesome meal
100% worth it.
Not a good night at a usually solid though overpriced place. Service was indifferent and even the usually effervescent host made seating us seem like a chore. My wife’s spinach salad had slices of hard cooked egg with mold on them. Need I say more?
Food was very good but everyone at our table commented on the saltinesss. Staff seemed somewhat disorganized but very attentive.
A very good Italian eatery. Many choices and the 8 of us were satisfied with our dinner selections from a Meats to Pasta and Seafood. Great appetizers. Try the meatballs. Service was great. Greeted by owner who was very accommodating and pleasant. Waitress was also very nice and was very attentive.
They will see us in the future.
We really had a wonderful time. Tommy greated us at the door with a smile and
wonderful spirit. The waitress Ashlyn did an incredible job taking care of
all of our needs. I would recommend Diamond's to all my friends.
Pricey fish dinner.. Excessive salt on almost all dishes. Salt is a flavor enhancer, not a spice or seasoning.
