Located on Spring St, opposite the Treasury Gardens, between Collins St and Flinders Lane, there emerges a truly unique space – imagined, created, curated – that lies at the nexus of all the Di Stasio energies that have come before it. Cittá is a culmination of sorts, a vibrant dynamic next step along a continuum of a challenge and of notions Rinaldo has been grappling with all his life. This is not only a commercial venture – though of course, he has never retreated from this aspect – but is also a vehicle to express and bring together all the aspects of Italo-Australian history, culture, place and heritage. It is an opportunity too to bring a long-standing dream to further fruition, celebrating Rinaldo’s influence on the Australian hospitality, cultural and artistic landscape, through a renewed celebration of Melbourne and the CBD where it all began and of his beloved spiritual and familial home, Italy.

I always LOVE this place. From the fit out (Di Stasio is a great supporter of the visual arts), to the lighting, the background music to the always polite and extremely knowledgable waitstaff and off course, the food: why can I say? Just amazing.

I loved the vibed, decor, the attentive staff. The entire room which was so lovely and unexpected. Our evening was so enjoyable as our children gave us a voucher for Christmas last year. We live over 2 hours away and we made the weekend trip to enjoy the city.

One of the best pasta we have had in Melbourne. Service was fantastic, we are currently sober and the waiter made us a custom cocktail. Very accommodating and enjoyable experience. We will be visiting again soon

Wow !! It's as Italian as it gets, with an elegant sophistication. I'm absolutely going back when next in Melbourne, or Ronnie could open in Sydney ! Special mention to Nicolo for looking after us so beautifully too.

A white jacketed waiter and funky wall art does not an Italian dining experience make. Service not up to the standard one could reasonably expect from such a place.

This is our favourite restaurant! Antoine and Marco were just utterly brilliant. Their attentiveness and recommendations were simply outstanding. The ambience, the food, the service was something amazing. My wife is coeliac and catering for her was superb. I cannot speaking highly enough if you want the most devine Italian food and the experience that goes with it. Cannot wait to go back!
