Our menu is composed of mostly small plates (similar to tapas style dining) while also featuring some banh-mi options during the daytime. dhom was created by Chef/Owner Soulayphet Schwader. dhom is Chef Phet's childhood nickname. It translates from Laotian to English to mean; dark or night. dhom is an expression of what Chef Phet likes to eat and cook. His local, seasonal menu is responsibly sourced, of the highest quality, and best when shared with friends in our East Village gem that is all at once intimate, inviting, and fresh. Dhom is my go-to place to bring my favorite people. Just treated a couple great ladies I work with who never come to the EV and they soaked it all up. We're going to plan an event at Dhom because the food-drinks-vibes just right for more than a couple of the events we want to plan. And that playlist.. spot-on.

food was great. music was too loud. the waiter on the bar side was not so good. the server on the restaurant side was terrific. very friendly and patient. the food was really good, though.

My friend ended up having a blood-pressure issue and passed out right as our food was being served. The management, staff, and even patrons all rushed to help out and get an ambulance there to take care of my buddy. I'm so grateful to everyone there and will absolutely go back. My friend was fine and the staff wrapped up our food to go and checked in on us while in the ambulance out front. I'm very grateful.

30 minutes after ordering, there was no sign of any food. We left hungry and disappointed. If a restaurant can't manage its kitchen, they shouldn't be in the business.

Had the restaurant week menu which had a little bit if everything so it was a great sampler of their full menu and the drinks were great. The staff were attentive and helpful and helped with our selection of drinks.

We called and asked if the food was spicy and were told no. Wrong answer too hot for me. I have had recent medical treatment, spicy food is an issue. Total misrepresentation. The portion of the tuna we tried was the size of a small cereal bowl 2/3 full WAY OVERPRICED! Hard to believe this was one of the best new restaurants in 2022. Few people there at 8 pm on a Saturday, not surprising based on our experience. Went to a another restaurant and got a good meal.
