Nestled in the picturesque and historic Holme Valley; tucked away between ancient woodland and the gentle ebb and flow of the winding River Holme… lies Devour, a stone’s throw away from the cobbled streets of Holmfirth.

We’re located in a beautifully restored former Wood Turning Mill and Dyehouse, with Riverside Garden and Wild Flower Meadow, with decor embracing our post-modern industrial heritage with the warmth and energy of an Italian Piazza.

Guests are welcome to leave vehicles overnight, We cannot accept any responsibility for any loss or damages to any vehicle left in the carpark overnight . Our main gates are locked every evening and opened no later than 11.00 am the following day, except Monday & Tuesdays

    Came for a late lunch on Sunday. We ordered the 12 hour braised shin and blue cheese pizza, garlic mushrooms and parmesan and truffle fries to share between two. We had two beers, a cider and cocktail and the bill was 64.00. It's a little more expensive than some places nearby but the quality speaks for itself, it's outstanding. The setting is beautifull, we sat next to the river, and the service is wonderfull. You feel as though you are abroad. The cocktail, lemonchello and raspberry was the best I've ever had. This was our second visit, and we can't wait to come back.

    Devour was much bigger than I thought it would be . There’s a great outdoor area for eating and /or drinking. It had a good vibe. We had a drink outside but went indoors for our meal as the interior was very comfortable and there was air conditioning. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Overall we had a very good time and will be back.

    Lovely evening in a beautiful setting. Superb food and service by friendly professional staff and a great atmosphere . Our new favourite place!

    We had a lovely time at Devour with friends we hadn’t seen for a while so lots of catching up over brunch. The noise level at times made it difficult to hear what people were saying. I was disappointed with the vegetarian options I had a very small amount of sourdough to dip into my single baked egg (not eggs) in what turned out to be shashuka type sauce which was tasty and very spicy indeed! It needed more bread to mop it up! The sautéed wild mushrooms accompaniment were delicious . Coffee macchiato was great -the flat white was lukewarm but tasted good. Overall a good time was had at a reasonable cost.

    This was our first visit to Devour and we certainly weren’t disappointed. The restaurant is located in a beautiful position next to the river. Inside is tastefully designed and you can watch the chefs at work in the kitchen at the rear. There is an abundance of attentive and friendly staff. Our food arrived at the table very quickly even though they were busy. The food was absolutely delicious and very generous portions. Overall we were extremely impressed and would highly recommend, we will definitely return.

    On a hot midsummer's evening, we enjoyed drinks outside in the beautiful setting before dining in the main restaurant. The service staff were excellent from start to finish - attentive, friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. The food was delicious. All round a very enjoyable evening.
