Four of us visited Devine for the last night of Bite 30. First of all, they don't have enough low seating. I had made reservations, but had no idea that most of the seating is at high top tables. That was the only available seating. We became quite uncomfortable, as it took quite a while to get our food. The waiter kept apologising which became annoying. The food was very good, but the service was slow. They ran out of one of the desserts offered.
I would give it another chance, since we did enjoy our food.
Overall, a disappointing experience. The long waits for each course of food were not worth it. The food was either overly salty or tasteless. The dessert shots (dry cake crumbles) were very disappointing. The only thing that stood out in the flavor department was the roasted broccolini. The sweet potato mash was like baby food. Service was lacking. The couple next to us got up and left after being seated once it was apparent that no server was going to help them. Apparently the restaurant is under new management (and possibly a new chef, too). Hopefully they can turn things around.
We elected to go to this restaurant because they participated in the Bite 30 program & we liked their menu offerings. It was a hike to get there (other side of town) but we all are foodies that enjoy trying new & different places. First, the table service was very good & the food was delicious. However, 2 (50%) of our entrees arrived at least 15 later as our partners were finishing theirs. Our server was embarrassed & apologized. She seemed surprised that the owner hadn’t stopped to see us. Then, the owner aware of the timing issue, did stop & we told her the meals were delicious despite the awkwardness of eating at disparate times. She took responsibility for the poor timing of the meal while not exactly apologizing & that was that. We had told the server that we didn’t live in the immediate area & so maybe the owner decided that we weren’t likely repeat diners & therefore not worthy of additional consideration. I don’t know or understand her thinking but I do know that despite the fact that each of us enjoyed our meals very much, dine out frequently together & separately, we are used to being valued & her attitude told us she did not value our business. No, we did not expect to have our meals comped but an actual apology or even an explanation would have been nice.
Good and friendly service. Good food options and great taste. Nice wine selection!
Loved everything about it
Tried DeVine for the first time. We had great food and drinks at happy hour prices with a super friendly wait staff. Will be back very soon!
Great menu. They do a good job and changing it up. Everything I have had has bee wonderful! Friday nights they have live music. Nice date night spot.
oreat but the view of the parking lot not so good , try shutters orr something to block that view.
We went on Wednesday evening when bottles of wine and entrees were 1/2 off. It was great. We shared a great bottle of wine and filet mignon for $49 not including tip.
Went to Devine's on Monther's day and was really disappointed. They sat us upstairs in the loft with plastic folding chairs and banquet-like tables. We were literally in the loft upstairs alone; it was a little creepy. The service was slow. Food came out at different intervals, and they forgot the syrup (twice). The hashbrowns and eggs were dry. The hasbrowns were described as having onions and peppers, but they were just out of a can. The waitress never came back after delivering the check, so we went downstairs and paid at the bar. This was our fourth visit, but we will probably never go back.
We happened upon Devine Wine in looking for a place to celebrate my daughters college graduation and needed a table for 11. The food was delectable and the service friendly, and extremely attentive. We had multiple appetizers, prime rib, duck, salmon and their gourmet burger as our entrees and all were cooked to perfection. Plan to return first change we get.
I enjoy this restaurant because the food is consistently tasty and the wine selection is outstanding. Although not fancy, this place has a classy feel.
We went for Easter Brunch! Our overall experience was great... but... a little slow on refills. We kinda felt forgotten. I noticed the bartender was a little lost... but again the overall experience was Great! Definitely will be going again!
Service and food was excellent. We had lots of kids with us this past Sunday and Server was very patient with them and I appreciated that as they did not always want to stay seated.
Food is overpriced. Pitcher of Sangria was a decent value and tasted ok. The $15 burger was severely under-cooked and we had to send it back. The fries were eh! They make their own ketchup and mustard and both tasted terrible with no alternatives. We had the $10 Macaroni skillet and I liked it but my wife did not.
The waitress was very pleasant but took too long when we needed something. The noise level was increasingly too loud and it was very difficult to hear each other during our conversation.
The slap in the face to us was the pitiful way they charged as 25c for a side of mayo. Really? In this so-called up-scale eatery? I laughed and felt insulted. Ownership needs to re-think their strategy here. Paid my bill. Added about a 10% tip and I'm sure we will never go back! Worst place we've been too in a long long time.
Consistently good food, fun atmosphere, nice selection of wine and friendly staff!
Food was delicious, service was excellent, very attentive.
I will start with the biggest disappointment, the food. The food was okay, definitely not worth the expense. I ordered the Pork Ribeye and my bf ordered the chicken. I was really looking forward to the collard greens and they ended up tasting like pure vinegar (if you are from the south or a lover of greens you know, vinegar should be an option to put on top of greens, like hot sauce). Also, the water has sage in it, the worst after taste ever and I am the type of person that has no problem having a wheat grass shot.
Now the reason why I put 2 stars and not 1.The decor was amazing! My boyfriend and I loved the wine tasting but mainly it was the service. Page was awesome! She made us laugh the whole night, she gave us her opinion on wine and was attentive.
I have always loved DeVines. They have a few things on the menu that are great (I love their beet salad) and when they have it - I love their sliced prime rib steak sandwich. I recently had a filet there, it was a little overcooked to my liking but.... it was so tender and tasty, I didn't send it back.
They don't have a lot on their menu and they don't change it up a lot either. They used to have more dinner entree type items on their menu, I wish they would do that again.
If you get their for happy hour, they have some good deals on food and drinks. I especially love their fried green tomatoes.
with all the development going on in Oviedo, all the new restaurants going in, I hope that they make it and continue to do a good business.
Always love going here. This visit was just a relaxing evening sitting at the bar with yummy food and good conversation. Love it when Paige is at the bar, she's always great to talk to.
It was a wonderful experience. I will return again.
This was our first time and enjoyed both food and service. We will definitely be back! They had a nice menu for Valentine's day!
It was my first time visiting because I was referred by a lot of people. The place is very beautiful. Now it was Valentine's day and the reservation was a later one so I am not going to be too harsh but I was disappointed that the only 2 entrees I was interested in was sold out so I ended up just eating the fondue appetizer for my dinner which was amazing other than that I wouldn't mind trying to eat here again maybe on a less busy day when that happens I will reevaluate my review.
Really enjoyed everything.
Always a fabulous experience. My favorite place in town!! Wednesday’s half off on wine bottles.
We love Devine and have a wonderful time every time we dine there.
Love this place. Great wine list and the food will not disappoint you. Menu changes often and is small but oh so good.
The brunch items were quite tasty, and the service was friendly.
One of the entres was a little over done, but other than that, good overall experience. Great for drinks and a quick bite.
Wonderful restaurant. Food and service excellent. The only thing I could recommend is a better choice in music. While enjoying our wine a cheese plate, you could hear the wonderful sounds of AC/DC . It just didn't seem to go. Maybe some blues or smooth jazz would be a better choice. Really cool space otherwise.
I went there with some friends for a Girl's night Out. Our server was great, and the food and ambiance was wonderful
What a great spot! So glad I found it! I did not realize this was so close to my house until a friend told me I had to check it out. I will be back!
Food is delicious...creative...seasonal. Service was very cordial but spotty and sometimes slow. Love this little gem but they need to provide "more" service so that there isn't so much wait time. Love the wine selection! Five star except for service - wait staff are excellent but they need more of them.
The food and drink were excellent, as always! The noise level was high even before the two person band starting playing. After they started playing, it was literally "plug-your-ears" loud. Conversation was impossible without leaning and yelling across the table. This was the third and last time we'll try them on a weekend night. It's actually pleasant mid-week when it is less noisy and there is no band playing. But be forewarned!
Really a nice place. Wine bar to select your wines from and wonderful fresh food. Can't wait to go back.
My first time. Service was great! The beer menu was a little eclectic but my guest enjoyed Was a little noisy but you get used to it pretty quick. I’d try it again.
It was fabulous as always! Loved our table by the wall fireplace. Food was delicious !
