   Nice Sunday Roast, round the corner for us so no brainer and great if your going for a walk around the Punchbowl not sure I would drive far to come here specially though.

   Prices listed on their website for festive meals are misleading. Our Christmas Day lunch was very disappointing. After a good starter, the main was care home quality! No trimmings with the turkey (despite what appeared on the menu) - I had to ask for cranberry sauce. Small and unglazed carrots, some of them hard. Tiny, soggy sprouts. Apart from the generous slices of turkey, small helpings of everything else. Dessert was a thin slice of shop-bought Christmas pudding sitting on tinned custard with a 'Masterchef' dribble of something dark brown. Staff friendly and efficient overall but when I questioned having ordered a dessert for my 91 year-old mother I was firmly told we HAD ordered 3 courses each (which I still doubt). Sadly this place - like everywhere else in the area it would seem - sees Christmas as an opportunity to dramatically increase their profit margin.

   The Devil punchbowl is now a quiet and dated place for a meal , and although booking online for a table for a Christmas lunch we found that we could have just turned up without the need to book as very quiet alround. The Christmas menus were not being served even though it was only 4 days till Christmas I didn't expect to go for a normal meal if I had wanted that I would have gone to my local and saved the journey and some of the cost furniture is out of place somewhat too so disappointed

   Ticked all the boxes for an afternoon gathering of relatives and friends. Good value and great staff. Cannot fault.

   Always stay here when visiting family. Brought parents -in - law for a meal on Saturday evening, plenty of choice and service was with a smile. Made for an enjoyable evening

   Our Xmas meal on Friday night was excellent, the staff had given us a lovely table and decorated it very xmasey , food was great, service was great and it was nice and warm ! All 7 of us enjoyed what we had ! Very nice indeed , will go back for a car very Sunday lunch soon , very good value too x

   The Devil’s Punchbowl does a good, non-ostentatious Sunday carvery at the right price. For me there needs to be a wider range of real ales, but Hobgoblin Gold isn’t bad at all. The staff are very pleasant and likeable.

   Staff really friendly, good food, very impressed with the live music that evening . We enjoyed our evening with our friends.

    The Punchbowl Hotel is local to us so decided to pop in for Sunday lunch having eaten there previously, how sad to find that the meat on the carvery was processed, we never eat processed foods at home so certainly don't want to eat it when out, I guess it's the only way they can keep the profit margin. Would much prefer they charged more but served proper joints of meat. Sadly won't be going back.
