   Lovely atmosphere great food.. attentive staff. The only thing I would say is it was quite cold in the side bar but the staff popped the heaters in when we mentioned it.

   The best roast around, everything was incredible, especially the roast potatoes! Shame we have to wait until next autumn/winter for the return, although it’ll be worth the wait! Can’t wait to enjoy the summer menu in the meantime.

   Always amazing service, well and truly looked after. Food is top notch, on the slightly pricier side but worth it!

   Really tasty Sunday roast. Lovely relaxed atmosphere and fantastic service. My granddaughter has a severe peanut allergy and they handled it beautifully, explaining that they would inform the chef and as each course came out they informed us of the exact content of her meal. All done in a friendly but very professional manner. So refreshing to be met with a “it’s no big deal” sort of approach rather than the “we don’t really know what’s in the dish” response we receive all too often. We shall not only return but will spread the word ……

   I was very impressed with my visit here with friends. The food was delicious.. I recommend the crispy potatoes and fried chicken. Huge, filling portions perfect for sharing. Really friendly, attentive staff. Great atmosphere, especially with the wood fire burning.

   One of our locals & our favourite for a variety of reasons, great service, atmosphere but most importantly excellent food!! It’s a shame more places don’t offer this quality. If you’re local, visit asap, if not, make sure it’s on your list to visit when down this way, you won’t be disappointed.

   Great food, service and venue. Will definitely return. We also took our fairly large dog, which they didn't have a problem with.

    Came for the Thursday steak night with 2 friends. The steak was delicious and came with a generous serving of fries. The half price wine of the week was a great addition to our meal. Would definitely dine here again.
