Very good dinner, relaxing atmosphere quick service
For the price of the ribeye with the bone in it for $42 no potato no salad and the steak I took it home and then threw it away because it was too tough I’ve gone to Smith’s a grocery store and bought steaks and they were more tender than that and cheaper,And they need to bring back the crab cocktail,A good friend of mine that I brought there hasn’t been there in five years and he told me about it and he was dissatisfied also,I think we were both dissatisfied because he was telling about the crab cocktail and then the lobster tails that you guys had there at one time I think you really need to bring that back and if it’s not broke don’t fix it leave things the way they are.
3 out of 4 dinners were not correct. One steak was over cooked, the other was under cooked. The prime rib was grilled, if i wanted grilled rib steak i would have ordered. Caesar salad was not cut up(didn't say that on the menu). Waiter didn't bring one person's coke. Had to ask him for it and also a baked potato that was ordered. I notated on my reservation it was a birthday and also told the hostess, then had to ask the waiter. Had to ask twice for separate checks. Very disappointed, was looking forward to going there. Won't be going again or recommending it to anybody.
Fantastic cuisine and great service
Bob, our server, was a pleasure to work with. The restaurant is wonderfully quiet. I do suggest upgrading the wine list and installing a wine refrigerator....warm red wine just does not work well with the high quality meat being served. The restaurant is open a few days per week (Wednesday-Sunday) so plan accordingly. We will happily return.
It was my birthday and I saw a review on their steaks. The steak was cooked to perfection, compliments to the chef. Service was very willing to serve me with everything I needed. I wanted a quiet more serene atmosphere and it was just that. I would recommend this place to anyone.
Our dinner was awesome! The servers and staff ste great. Very nice and professional too. We thoroughly enjoyed it and will return soon!
Our server Bob was wonderful. Very attentive and helpful. The filet and prime rib were amazing. And the prices makes it even better. One of the best values in the Las Vegas area. HIGHLY recommended.
Food was delicious. My husband had the prime rib and I had the New York Strip which was cooked as I like it. Its our place when in Boulder City
My wife and I had a wonderful experience! Both the service and the food were excellent! I love the lobster bisque :-) It was a wonderful experience.
We have been here approximately 5 times and they have yet to disappoint. Our go to steak house.
We highly recommend dining at DeSimone's Steakhouse. The prime rib is awesome and the raw horseradish was the highlight of our trip for my fiance. It is why we reserved a table! We also had the largest wedge salad I have ever seen and delicious strawberry cheesecake.
We had reservations at 6 we where told they where running behind so they baught us a drink at the bar. We where seated at about 6:45 and where not greeted by our server till 7:25 at that point we ordered.
Our appetizer came out there was no seasoning it was so bland our meal was not brought to our table till 8 everything was luk warm at best and again no seasoning. They ended up giving us our meal for free which the offered to box up for is we declined as it was awful. I would not recommend this place to anyone not will we ever return.
I didn't give a five-star rating because the bartender did not know how to make a "perfect Southern Comfort Manhatten." If you're going to have a restaurant such as DeSimone's Steakhouse, please have an experienced bartender. My wife and I were celebrating our 60th wedding anniversary and for 60 years we have started our meal with a "perfect Southern Comfort Manhatten on the rocks with olives." The word "perfect" does not refer to the quality of the drink, but to the equal amounts of sweet and dry vermouth used to make it. Our drink arrived with a hodgepodge of fruit looking like an "old fashion." In those 60 years, we have always eaten at a quality restaurant such as yours. In all those years, we have never received a bad Manhattan until that night. This was a celebratory meal and our server, Justin, did a superb job. We drive from the Phoenix area to Vegas frequently and thought we had picked a good quality restaurant away from the casinos, but we were mistaken. We are always looking for a complete package - high-quality food, a good dining experience, ambiance, something unique, and the price factor. Your prices are fine, but not having quality drinks will prevent us from returning.
Service was great, although the food could have been a little hotter overall...
Good food great service
Dinner was good, plenty of it
Steak could of been hotter and more seasoned
Service was good and love the quietness
The food was very good and the kitchen accommodated a dietary request cheerfully which doesn't always happen when eating out. Bob was our excellent waiter and all of the other wait staff what always nearby to fill our glasses or remove plates. We enjoyed ourselves very much and consider this steakhouse a value and worth the drive from Las Vegas.
The food was out of this world! The service was a little disappointing. Our waiter was very nice but not as attentive as I think he could have been. We had another waiter ask if we wanted dessert and when we got the dessert there was no offer of coffee or possibly another drink.
We will definitely come back but will ask for another server.
Very nice restaurant with friendly, helpful employees. Great food at fair prices too.
Everything was wonderful. We went there for the first time to celebrate a birthday. The French Onion soup was one of the best that I ever had. My Filet was done to perfection and was juicy and tender. The staff was very attentive. We will definitely be back.
Railroad Pass has not been on our radar for some time. The Interstate 11 construction was the main reason. But I am glad that we finally made the trip. We will certainly return for more of their steaks. The food was good, the staff friendly.
We loved it! Great food and service!! Can't wait to go back. Filet was perfect and the shrimp cocktail is the best around!!
Our servrr, Justin, top notch!
We enjoyed the charming old Vegas feel; vintage not fancy. Very comfortable with friendly service and attention. The coconut shrimp appetizer was exceptional. The crab cake which accompanied the steak oscar was delightful and the bleu cheese dressing on the salad was excellent. Overall the experience was very good and we look forward to a return visit.
Excellent, very tasty food.
Service was very good.
This place is great! Reminds me of the steakhouse at Circus Circus in the 90’s. The prices are fantastic for the quality of food and service. The sea bass is a wonderful choice if steak is not your thing. The most expensive meal on the menu is $38 for a lovely Beef Wellington. It’s not convenient for most, but if you’re coming back from the Hoover Dam stop at Railroad Pass casino and reward yourself. Cheers!
Great food and service. I thought I was on a cruise ship with the wonderful service. Wedge salad is big enough for two. Chilean sea bass is fantastic. Love the baby bok choy that is served with it. I just wish the casino was not so smoky.
The service was exceptional from the host, to our table service. If you are looking for a good steak and an old Vegas feel, but don’t want to pay golden steer prices, this is for you.
Everything was very good and Jasmin made it special, very good waitress
My friends had the prime rib and were very happy with the quality and the doneness. I had crab legs which were very good but needed to be hotter and the butter got cold. The lobster Mac and cheese was not very good so save room for something else. Unfortunately they were out of lave cake but the chocolate cake was good. The creme brûlée was not in a shallow dish but in a little tea cup so missed out on the larger burnt sugar area which is my friend’s favorite art of the dessert. Overall a very good dining experience.
Our third visit since December. We had a great meal and fabulous service. We're already looking forward to our trip back there very soon!!
Love this place, food is always great. We have been here at least a half a dozen times and we live 35 miles away.
The food is amazing and the service is very friendly. For the price point this steakhouse is definitely worth the long drive to get to. The service staff goes out of their way to provide excellent guest service.
The steaks are of Vegas Strip quality sans the over priced nature of the products in the Strip.
I went here maybe 6 months ago and loved it. Finally got to go back... service was still great, but food was not. My $40 ribeye was over cooked for the middle thicker part of the steak, but outside was rare like I ordered it.
No seasoning on steak...at all... all a good ribeye needs is a little salt and pepper and they didn't do that. Creamed spinach was tasty but more liquidy and topped with cheese than actual creamed spinach.
3 different types of bread was given and they were all not good tasting. One of the waitresses was nice enough to go get us dinner rolls from the buffett. How does a steakhouse not have sourdough or plain dinner rolls?
Price was definitely not worth the quality of the food.
Like I said I have been there before and the food was much better all around. Maybe new management or new chef...
Anniversary Djamel is excellent!!!
We love the weighter Jamal..we have been coming for 2 years now and ask for him all the time,,he is the best..you are lucky to have an employer like him..in fact,I wish I had workers like him...
The Good... The service, people are so nice! Great wait staff and servers and the ambiance was great - however it ends there.
The not so good/bad - The prices are outrageous for the QUALITY of the food. I have no problem paying for higher end dining however the food better match the price and here at DeSimones it doesn't. The Steak Oscar I ordered was not steak medallions they looked like just chunks of meat that were completely over cooked. I ordered medium rare and they were definitely done and as small as they were I understand why. The asparagus was large and woody and the food was flavorless. The Garlic mashed potatoes didn't even taste of garlic. The best part of the meal if I had to pick something was the free bread and the $8 Dinner salad before the meal. Sooo disappointed! 😞
Great food. Bacon wrapped prawns and Steak Oscar " to die for!" Excellent service. Dining area a little dark.
We have been going to this steakhouse for over 45 years and we were celebrating our birthday and anniversary. We ordered prime rib and it was delivered to the table totally raw. We sent it back and it came back totally charred black. The baked potato was extremely cold as if it had been sitting in the kitchen all day. No apologies from the waiter and only said, "I took the dinner off the tab". We ordered a nice bottle of wine for $45 and left it at the table but was still charged for it. What a disaster and ruined our very special day.
