Best steak in the city! Everything we ate was outstanding!
I gifted a date night to my In Laws and they have raved about their experience for the past two days!
Everything was wonderful, as usual! I made a reservation online for 6, but had a last minute add-on so I called Addie and she gladly made the change. Lance and the rest of the wait staff was wonderful and my granddaughters loved the spaghetti!!
Horrible! The music was so ridiculously loud!
Probably one of the best steaks I’ve ever eaten!! I will be visiting again!!
Attending dinner at a steakhouse I didn’t think my steak could be sent out of the kitchen undercooked twice.
Prior to our meal coming out we waited 45 minutes, at which point the waiter came by and asked us about dessert. When we informed him that we still hadn’t eaten, he ran off to retrieve the food. Needless to say, my husband finished his entire meal before I had my steak brought back for the 3rd time with my asparagus and crab burned to a mush along with a tough and overlooked filet.
The manager gave us dessert at no charge, but I still left without dinner...
This is a popular and energetic place. Despite the number of people they always deliver a great meal. Appetizers with shrimp are always good. great wedge salad. Fantastic turtle soup. Of course the steaks are very good and come out very hot as you would expect. The lamb is also very good and has a flaming sauce. Good crab and fish dishes as well. good wine list
The place was so noisy. No accoustics. The steak was fabulous and the service including the valet was great!
The food was great, the service was great. I feel like I was trapped in my dad’s business luncheon. If you like to be in stiff environments this is your place. I prefer to enjoy great food in a more laid back environment.
We had a great experience during our dinner. Service was excellent 👍🏻👍🏻
This was a great restaurant to celebrate my husband’s birthday. The food was excellent and the ambiance was elegant and classy. We very much enjoyed our dinner here!
Hubby and I are always elated when dine here . Kevin was amazing . The Hostess Abby is a Diamond in the Ruff . Management is always the best . Desi Vega Staff , Thank you for your passion .
One of our best experiences to date in Nola. Porterhouse was perfect, twice baked crawfish stuffed potatoes should be an every day menu item. Who dat shrimp were amazing. Loved the energy of the restaurant. Wouldn’t change a thing. Service was impeccable.
This is our favorite place to eat in New Orleans! The service is always wonderful. The food is top notch!
Attention to detail. Great wait staff. Attentive overall staff. Great bartender. Great service. Great food.
Food Awesome. Services was great. Lance did a wonderful job.
Great food, have never had a bad experience and use them for my Business Meeting where I need to make sure it is a good environment with great atmosphere. Desi Vegas has never let me down, I can always ensure it makes the right impression during an important business meal.
I loved my experience here except it was a bit too loud and I could barely have a conversation with my husband but overall everything was good!!!!!
This is THE BEST restaurant hands down that I have eaten at. GREAT food, great atmosphere. I'll be back.
Had an early reservation and service was excellent with wait staff being very attentive and personal. Bone in Rib-eye was excellent and cook to a perfect medium rare. My only complaint was that the crab cake, which came served on a sizzling plate with butter which was great, was more Maryland style and a little off on flavor. Overall, a wonderful evening.
We went for a date night spending a few nights in the Quarter for a wedding. We were greeted at the door by a smiling hostess and seated quickly. Dennis our server was on point. You can ask for him at dinner. He kept a watchful eye and didn’t crowd us. We started with cocktails and split a salad as an appetizer. Great fried oysters, blue cheese and bacon. Another cocktail then a ribeye for me and a filet for her.cooked medium perfect. Sides of Mac and cheese and scalloped potatoes. Another cocktail then red velvet cake for desert. Great service and a wonderful experience
The service was excellent and the food was very good. Unfortunately though I had asked for and called to confirm a quiet romantic table, we were seated in a room with a party of 20 and another of 7 and they were both very loud. There was another room in the restaurant that was away from this one but we weren’t sat there. The person seating us completely dropped the ball. I explained to the server and she completely understood and sent over the manager who apologized and gave us complimentary desserts. While that was a nice gesture it didn’t really make up for what was supposed to be a special evening. In a city like New Orleans which has so many choices you would be better off going elsewhere. There are better options.
food was great as was the service. The wine we had was very good, but overall the wines were marked up too high above the prices seen in wine stores and groceries. I expect to pay above those prices but at a reasonable rate .
I keep getting disappointed by this place. I got the filet sandwich for lunch and half of the sandwich was all fatty pieces that I couldn’t even chew. The fries were soggy and the onion rings (I only got because it wasn’t clear the sandwiches came with fries) were not fried long enough. This place is hit or miss.
Love this restaurant, service always excellent!
Desi Vegas is without a doubt one of if not the best steak house in New Orleans. 5 Stars!
Excellent! Food is always top notch!
Incredible atmosphere and amazing food. Staff was very friendly. Would definitely recommend.
This was my wife and I's first time dining at Desi Vega's. We decided to go there for our 26th anniversary dinner. The food and service are second to none. We couldn't have made a better choice. I definitely will return in the near future.
The food was delicious and the service was impeccable.
Everything was amazing.
Expensive but delicious
I had reservations for 9. When we arrived we were immediately seated. Which was great. The servers were good. The food, NOT so much. We had the shrimp rolled in bacon which was very dry. The steaks were not seasoned. The mashed potatoes tasted like it was instant. The asparagus, no flavor. I would not be going back.
Everything was excellent. The Who DAT shrimp was outstanding. We will definitely be back. Our waiter, JD, told us that the food would get better after each course. He was not kidding. It was already perfection from the appetizer. (Who Dat shrimp)
I highly recommend this restaurant for any occasion.
The steaks were phenomenal!!! They are USDA prime, cooked to perfection and come to the table sizzling! A steak lovers dream! I had a crab cake for an appetizer which was delicious and also sizzling when served! My husband had the lamb chops. They were served with a flaming Mojito glaze and lit on fire! The staff was very knowledgeable & experienced! Exceptional! We will be back!
If I could give you zero stars I would. First time at Desi Vega's and I am certain it is my last. Full disclosure I had a 5:45 reservation and I got caught in some Mardi Gras traffic. I let the restaurant know I was running a little behind and was told they would only hold my table for 15 minutes. I got out of the car and ran a half of a mile making it with 2 minutes to spare. Once inside I was informed by the hostess that I had to be finished eating by 7:45 and that is the only way they would agree to give me the table. I asked what kind of reservation this was where I had to rush? The hostess said, "well you are late!" I reminded her they agreed to giving me 15 minutes past the time and I was there within that time. The hostess then tells me because it's Mardi Gras they don't want people just sitting occupying tables. I am sorry, I thought this was a restaurant where people come to relax, and enjoy a meal. I was brought to my table where the wait staff made it very clear that the meal would be rushed. We were asked at least 8 times what we wanted for entrées before finishing the first drink. I have never wanted to ask for the check midway through a meal until tonight. I was very relieved that we did not want dessert because I was looking a my watch all night to see how much time we had left. By my watch we would only have 10 minutes to eat dessert and drink coffee. The food was okay at best so I'm not sure why this place is so renowned. If you order a vodka tonic with orange wedges one would think it would not come with a lime and no orange. This happened at every round of drinks. To any one thinking of dinning here don't! Spend your $200 at a real New Orleans restaurant where they don't mind if you stay a while. To the owner of Desi Vega send the short hostess that was wearing the gray sweater to a hospitality course she has the worst manners and attitude that I have ever encountered in the service industry.
This is my favorite steakhouse in any city! I always plan to come here when in town. The steak and lobster is the best you will ever eat.
I would love to come back with my friends. Very nice
Wonderful food and service!
From the drinks to the desserts, we had an amazing dining experience. Service was great too. Try the Who Dat Shrimp! Delicious!! Can’t wait to come back.
