Deschutes Brewery & Public House
Our Pub’s distinct Northwest style brings a taste of Central Oregon to the heart of Portland and is a popular destination for great beer, delicious food and a relaxed urban atmosphere.
The brew pub’s 26 taps feature Deschutes mainstays plus a selection of seasonal and experimental beers developed and brewed on site exclusively for the Portland pub by our brewers.
Led by Executive Chef Jill Ramseier, our talented culinary team creates classic pub food taken to the next level. Matching our brewers’ passion, they create dishes from scratch with the best possible local ingredients.
Love our food but want to eat at home? We’ve partnered with CAVIAR, a delivery service that will bring fresh food from our pub to your home.
Everything was fine.
If you want to taste Portland, Deshutes Brewery and Public House is Portland. Great beer selection, creative comfort food.
Server had difficultly focusing on special needs (onion and garlic allergies) and a special order of a salad.
as soon as we check in for our reservation we were seated right away! Our server was very attentive, even chose the perfect dessert for us.
Great to be able to get a table for our large (8) group. Enough choices for most of the people in the group. Front staff friendly and server attentive.
Delicious meal of pork shoulder and grits
Great Microbrewery with tasty brews and generous food portions!
Delicious food and very friendly staff. They were busy but we walked right in with a reservation. Our server gave us time to finish our drinks before even asking if we were ready for the check, so we didn’t feel rushed at all, despite them being busy. The ambiance is relaxed and family friendly.
Great dinner at Deschutes while visiting Portland . Would definitely recommend!
We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Deshutes. The staff were friendly the food was great and the atmosphere was fantastic.
Great beer, good ambiance with vegetarian dishes
Great selection of craft beers. The food choices where amazing and different take on many classic comfort foods- take a look at the menu, it speaks for itself. The location was great and one block from my favorite bookstore on the planet, Powell's Bookstore. I recommend eating here and try a sample flight of their beers.
The elk burger is soooooo good! Deschutes never disappoints on the plate and their beer is pretty good too. They have a garage door that brings the outside in which is lovely in the summertime but does include the noise of the city.
Great environment and friendly staff who took great care of us! The drinks and food were delicious and the reservation worked perfect!
Big family vacation from Michigan to Oregon, for an important wedding. Staying in the “pearl” district and looking for good food and drink.
The food was ok, the service was ok, the place itself was unique looking with carved wooden beams and decor.
Our server was distracted and didn’t check on us very much. We had empty drink glasses and waited for him to come by several times.
Fantastic night with delicious food.
Good food, good service, it was a little loud for a sit down dinner which made conversation kind of difficult.
We were looking forward to this dinner for weeks to celebrate our move back from the east coast. We dined at 7 on a Sunday and were excited for a rewarding, delicious dinner. We ordered our apps and main courses only to have our main courses come out 5 minutes after our appetizers, everything was basically order fired and not coursed. We had bowl of hot soup and a pretzel; I don’t know about you but that’s impossible to eat in 5 minutes. When our entrees arrived we had to put them to the side in order to finish our appetizers. I wouldn’t have a problem with this but the last time our meal was coursed out so that is what we expected. We felt extremely rushed and didn’t want to stay for dessert after this. Also, I did find a few, small shells in my crab roll, so I would recommend being extra cautious when eating this. The food was delicious, but having all of our food delivered at once made us feel extremely rushed and disappointed. So, I guess my advice is to course out the dinner yourself if you want a relaxing meal.
It was awesome!
Good food, Great Beer.
Group of 9 for 6 pm, confusion at Hostess as majority (6) of my group arrived 545 and was seated and when we arrived 550 was told that we wouldn't be seated unless everyone was present. OK, fair. Called others at 610 and told us they were seated, just need some consistency there on entry. Staff and service was very consistent and attentive. Checked back regularly for drinks and needs. Adjusted the shades for parties nearby due to early evening sun. Food from apps to dinner was turned over well, not long not short, just right. Little noisy, but it's a brewery. Even with my hostess issue, my guests were very happy w the evening. That's all that matters.
Excellent service & good food. It is a little noisy for conversation.
Food and service were excellent - big, busy, energetic place! I didn’t mind the noise but some people might.
We met friends from out of town for lunch. Had a great lunch and our waiter was spot on! He offered suggestions and did not rush us. The boys had burgers and said they were delicious. I had the strawberry salad with chicken thighs and avocado - outstanding! We got the Key Lime Pie for dessert and it was tasty! I'd come back for just the dessert : ) It really is a perfect Portland place to grab a bite as it has a great atmosphere and great food. We recommend it!
Good place to meet friends and share a pint or two. Good food, excellent service.
Busy pub, lots of beers to try. Noisy, waiting staff not really interested in customers
Service was terrible. Beer selection great, but hardly so with cocktails, didn’t have wine. Couldn’t hear with table of 10
This was our first visit to Deschutes Brewery and we were pleasantly surprised. Our fabulous waiter gave us perfect suggestions for both beverage tasting and food. Our food was delicious and the Pride Cake was beautiful and tasty! Great place for lunch or meal with friends.
Amazing food and drinks. Loved the place.
I really enjoy their food and service
They have a really solid product
The noise level was way too loud. It would bee best for your survey to label the noise level:
too quiet, too loud, just right.
Went there last Friday and had a ball the chilli was wonderful...and I love the "rose city cocktail 🍸...
Good food and beer
The restaurant was Great! Our son-in-law is a brewer and loved the flight of classic beers!
Fantastic meal. Everyone ordered something different and all enjoyed. Great attentive service. Noise level was surprisingly high and made conversation difficult. Still, would definitely return and recommend.
Wonderful food and a fun menu. They were great helping our picky kids get dinner they would eat. Super friendly staff.
Gray was excellent! We had a delicious dinner. Food, beer and service was excellent. Definitely to return again, and I LOVED the open table reservation system, we didn't have to wait at all for our table!
Surprisingly good food for a reasonable price and not as noisy as had feared. Very convenient for the theater next door.
My daughter and I were traveling to Portland on business and wanted to experience the Deschutes Public House restaurant. We love Deschutes’ beer back home in Texas, but we were amazed by the delicious food and hospitality we received. Thanks for a delightful meal and beers, and look forward to being with you again very soon!
Really fantastic experience. A true taste of Portland!
