Des Alps in the Overland Hotel in Fallon is an American cuisine restaurant located inside a historical building. Built in 1908 on the first transcontinental highway, Des Alps location had a roaring start and since the 1994 ownership change has worked to honor that history and maintain a high level of service for every customer. The American dishes at Des Alps are no-nonsense crowd favorites. Start with fried pickles or mozzarella sticks before moving to burgers cooked to order. The five cheese grilled cheese is a delight filled with cheddar, Monterey jack, Swiss and Romano with a parmesan crusted bread. Other features include pit-style barbeque, a private event room and a catering service.
