We had an amazing brunch in an incredibly relaxed atmosphere!
Welcoming. Attentive. Flavorful. Something for everyone. Perfect place to enjoy great company especially in their newly added outdoor seating. Oh, don’t forget the cool collection of automobiles inside.
Perfect for car meets.
They didn’t honor my open table reservation. We did get seated after waiting - Father’s Day, hence the reservation. But it was the first day open after pandemic so we cut them some slack. Not a big deal
Well, we made a reservation for a Friday night after looking at their menu. Restaurants are now open in our state, and nothing indicated this one was any different. Friday rolls around, and we go to the restaurant at our reservation time, and....it was closed. No phone call, no email, no sign on the door, nothing. Soooooo...guess we won't be going there any time soon.
Cars!! Vroom vroom!
Showed up on time. Was told the reservation system doesn’t work well with theirs and best bet is to call them directly to ensure a table is available. Waited 25 minutes to be seated, then the service was extremely slow. I don’t see the point of them using the reservation service if they cannot honor the reservation time.
I made a reservation day of around noon. They didn’t let me know till 15mins before our reservation that they were closed for a private event. Really bad form.
It was a group birthday celebration. I personally loved the steak salad -- the steak was seasoned and medium rare to perfection! The fresh Cream of Mushroom soup was hearty, flavorful loaded w/cremini mushrooms w/ a nice touch of walnuts. I was able to order half a salad as I wanted to try the soup of the day. A nice ending to a fabulous lunch -- the server provided all 3 of us a complimentary scoop of ice cream.
Awesome, had brunch before the MLS cup. Food was all wonderful. Staff was excellent Shuttle to the stadium was great too!
If you are a car person this is your place ! Take anyone special who loves collector or fast cars ! Great food and drink . Excellent Happy Hour as well .
I highly recommend !
It was my mom’s birthday and her entree never arrived. We let our sever know twice and an addition server know. A half an hour later my mom’s entree had still not arrived and no one seemed to care. We had a concert to go to and couldn’t wait any longer. The restaurant was very understaffed and it was not anything like the birthday celebration dinner I had imagined my mom would have. The food we did get was just okay. The restaurant used to be an Ethan Stole restaurant and it certainly seems to have changed.
We ordered during happy hour but we not charged Happy Hour prices. We needed to leave quickly so we just paid it as it would’ve taken too much time to correct but the server never explained or offered to correct the prices.
Restaurant was freezing! The appetizers also came out with main meals. Besides that everything was great, and food was delicious!
Loved the bacon!!! And the fries too. Really fun, thank you!
This was a great restaurant for our family. The kids (ages 7 & 10) loved the atmosphere and were impressed with the cars. With just a short 11 minute drive from our house in West Seattle, we will definitely be returning.
Love the location and fantastic food.
A unique dining experience combining great atmosphere and food in an unexpected location. The happy hour specials were delicious and also available in the dining room. We enjoyed admiring all the beautiful cars stored there as well.
Love this place- the atmosphere and food is amazing! I am not a car person and still really enjoy the scene and have been in the past. Last time I had the burger- which I don’t normally order and it was sooo tasty. This time I tried the Cobb salad which was fresh yet hearty with solid bacon pieces on it. Besides great menu options there is a cool vibe with a showroom of cars and TVs to hang out and watch as well. Check it out
The food was amazing! Get the Bacon for a starter, the Beef Stroganoff or the burger for your main. So good!
The tour is a little pricey, especially when you have a big dinner bill, so we skipped that, but the cars all looked amazing from the dining room.
Service was great the food was ok
The Menu & theme seemed really interesting, however the service & food was poor. 1 Kids Menu burger came rare, with blood on the bun. Being Restaurant Week, we were told orders could not be placed from both the Specialty Menu & Regular Menu as it may confuse the kitchen- the place was almost empty so after begging for a Pretzel for my daughter, it came as a microwaved rock of bread for $8. We would have been grateful for this 'favor' had the server not display such a bad attitude about it. All in all, left without having a satisfying family meal, and wasted money. Didn't want more attitude during our night out from the server, so chose not to return food back.
Love the burgers and salads there. More items to try. Definitely meat driven place.
We love love love this place! The food is always amazing and the cars added a unique experience. It is always super loud, but it is always a lovely time.
Loved that we could get a large group in with a reservation the night before. Really hidden gem for the area but a fun mix to see some cool cars and have some interesting bites! The corn is a must, Brussels were pretty great too! We loved all the apps and would consider just doing a bunch of those and sharing in place of everyone getting meals.
My friend's first visit but I come back often. Derby is a real gem in the heart of industrial Seattle and the food and service never disappoints. The wait staff are knowledgeable and make great suggestions and the drinks are top notch!
Decent place to eat if you are in the SoDo area. A little pricey for what you get, but the sandwiches are good. I wouldn't make it a destination for anything but lunch and even then you have to like looking at the cars!
Fun place. We ate at Derby previous to a movie premiere at The Shop. The Mezcal cocktail was amazing! I ordered fries and wings. Because the wings had the drum and wing attached they were a little too messy for my likings but the flavor was spot on.
Loved the place but the service was very slow. Had to ask for things multiple times. Someone that seemed to be the owner was very nice and attentive. Really fun atmosphere for those that enjoy cars. Great for kids as well.
Fun place. I took my two college kids that are home from visiting and they loved it. Food was great and they especially loved being able to go out to the garage and see the cars after dinner!
Great fun at this restaurant that is surrounded by an auto garage and storage business. Big glass windows in the restaurant provide views of dozens of cars of all kinds stored in the garage.
We were there for Sunday brunch. Brunch prices were very reasonable. The reuben benne was great; the chicken fried steak no so much. Very generous pours on the sparkling wine.
As with many Seattle restaurants these days there was a "service charge" added to the bill ostensibly to pay the kitchen crew. I find this practice annoying, especially at a restaurant with such a reasonably priced menu to begin with. Just raise the menu prices by the amount of the service charge and give that to the kitchen crew.
That said, this is a fun place to go and I commend it.
My teammates had our Xmas lunch here and for most it was their first experience. Everyone walked away full of compliments!! I’d been here a few times before and they food is always good. It was noise than usual since multiple large groups seemed to be there but the service was excellent!! Well done, Derby and thank you!!
Early dinner after a meeting downtown. Parking a little on the difficult side despite having a fairly large, dedicated lot—most likely due to Happy Hour arrival time.
Staff was pleasant and helpful, food was outstanding. Restaurant overall was exceptionally noisy (again, Happy Hour) and the acoustics do nothing to soften the noise.
Interesting concept with restaurant inside The Shop...we were fortunate enough to be seated by a window that gave us a view of a number of exotic cars.
Would definitely go again.
Food = good. Service = VERY SLOW. Irritation = We ordered Cadillac Margaritas--they were $18 each--we found out when we the bill arrived. They explained that they make Cadillacs with "top shelf" tequila and Gran Marnier. No other place in town does that. A Cad is a regular rita with a float of Gran Marnier. What a rip-off. Will not go there again.
Now that the automatic 20% tip is out the door and the servers actually have to work for the tips, the service has greatly improved!
Breakfast poutine is amazing! Great brunch spot
Wow, the food there is soooo good! Everyone talks about the bacon but the brussel sprouts and drinks were blew my mind! We stopped in before a game which was awesome because we parked in their lot for free (which they let us do since we ate there) and walked to the stadium. This place is a real hidden jem and my boyfriend was going crazy over the cars so we took the tour. It was $10 a person but they said on Monday it's free.
This place rocks! Absolutely fabulous space, amazing old vintage cars coupled with awesome food and service.
Sadly, we thought this was an Ethan Stowell restaurant. Maybe it was at some point, but no longer.
The potatoes seemed like they were from a frozen bag. The bacon was really thick and not edible. Didn't get the toast until I asked. And we had to ask for salt and pepper and all the table goodies.
The cars look cool though!
