Had a lovely time with my family here on saturday night, food was amazing and staff were awesome, good valve for money, would definately go back.

We booked a table for 8:15. When we arrived there was only one other table occupied. The staff seemed very casual, totally disorganised. There was no atmosphere. Level of actual service was appalling, no napkins, really like nobody had a clue. I noticed on the menu there is a student night on Wednesdays, perhaps this is their busiest night bd abuse it was totally dead on Saturday. We only stayed for starters, although we had intended to order mains. The food was ok but nothing special.

There was absolutely no one when I visited, which was perfect since I had to do some reading. The staff was nice and food was ok.

I went to the Dept. opening night before it changed to an food venue and have always liked the style of the old building. This was my first time since the change from drink to food and I paid a visit with a friend. The building and ambience was as before and the service was good. The food, as I had hoped after seeing the images on FB was excellent. I opted for the Blue cheese standard burger with spicy fries and a vanilla milkshake. My friend had the cheese burger, fries and a vanilla milkshake. We both thought the taste was great and reasonably priced. Overall we agreed it was very good, the only downside was that it was very cold on the night that we visited and there was only 1 small heater. So good service, great food - just a tad cold for us on the night...

Lovely service! But food was awful! My chicken burger was swimming in grease! The lady who served was lovely and took my meal of my bill but it left a nasty taste in my mouth all day :(.

Although the staff were very friendly and courteous the food and ambience were disappointing. Given we were there on a Friday night you could have been forgiven for thinking it was 2pm on a drizzly weds. The menu looked and sounded great but did not live up to expectations and the lack of other diners didn't add to a celebratory atmosphere. It's a shame because none of us had been before and we were all looking forward to a reason to visit and recommend again.
