Dinner was great, the service was even better! Both of our meals were delicious and the bread was great as well!
For the most part the food was good with the exception my husbands pork chop was over done. Server nice and available most of the time but there were time we got things slow! Manager wonderful-stopped at our table as he remembered us from the previous visit!
The tomahawk is really marvelous
Had another wonderful dinner at the Chophouse. Food was amazing and Sara our server was attentive and had some wonderful suggestions. We will not hesitate to dine at the Chophouse again next time we are downtown.
The Chop House is a great place for a good steak. The food is always a hit, but it’s the attention to service that makes us want to return again and again. Thanks to Nick for making this birthday dinner a special one!
i usually come in for their awesome happy hour, but this time i took a date!
server was attentive, filet was cooked perfectly, and cheesecake dessert topped off a delightful evening!
Great service. Food quite good. Appetizers, and salads excellent. Entree steaks did not appear to be prime. Filet slightly over cooked and Ribeye lacked juice and flavor (Medium rare).
We love the Chophouse! Excellent food and great ambiance. We have sat at the bar and at at a table. Both were great.
Always enjoy going for business meetings. staff / service is always outstanding. Food is delicious and delivered in a very quick manner for the level of quality.
NY steak was below average and definitely not the quality in years past.
Loved the potato and cornbread.
Beth our server was a saint. Very sweet and knowledgeable. She is reason enough to eat here
Had my salad bumped on me and didn't get a fresh one. The waitress took forever to do things so I was asking others and they got it fast than our waitress. My mash potatoes weren't really hot just luck warm. Like come on. It was okay. Thought it would be better.
Service was good, food was ok, place seems to be a little antiquated which is probably part of the history but shouldn’t be with quality of food.
It was proficient attentive staff not over the top
Took my son to his first NBA game in Denver. Cavs vs. Nuggets. While in town, my son was able to choose our dinner for the evening. He was in the mood for steak. I did a quick review on-line and found the Denver Chophouse was not only located near the arena, but had good reviews and a decent price. It was a little more upscale than we were used to, and definitely for our current occasion, but it did have a great overall atmosphere. We were able to book a reservation while we were searching, so our wait was non-existent. The staff was friendly and prompt. They answered all questions and made conversation with my son(12). The food was delivered quickly and just how we like it. Half way through our terrific meal, the assistant manager, Marcus Henderson, stopped by for a chat. He inquired about our meal and asked my son what he thought and what we were doing that evening. My son informed him about the game and the manager was delighted and wished him a great evening. On top of that, to celebrate his first game, the AM offered a dessert of his choice, on the house. My son has some severe food allergies, so most dessert is out of the question. When we informed the waiter, he said no problem, we can whip up a chocolate sundae that will work. This is not always are experience when dealing with restaurants and my son's allergies, so the ease and understanding that they showed was a welcome delight. A few minutes later they came back with a pristine Sundae with all the fixings, minus any nuts. My son loved it, heck, I loved it. I can say that I will definitely be visiting the Denver Chophouse, the next time we are in town. I hope this review helps any people on the fence, this restaurant only added to our great night...
My server was fantastic recommended I should come down for opening day. Steak well prepared, mashed potatoes nice and fluffy just a great experience.
We visited the Denver ChopHouse on the last night of Denver Restaurant week. We were heading to see Hamilton so had an early reservation. Service was excellent. The food was delicious, prepared to our likings and the $45 prix fixe was a great deal! We loved it! Wished there was a vegetable included with the entree, but otherwise no complaints. We will definitely be back!
The menu is limited and the food is average taste and higher prices. Service and ambience are the best parts. Overall good but not great.
Great food great service!
Well portioned/amazing food and great service!
We visited the Chophouse for Denver Restaurant Week and it did not disappoint! Perfect portion sizes, excellent food, ordered a bottle of wine on top of the restaurant week menu, everything was fabulous. Its a bit pricey of course, but totally worth it. I would definitely go back.
First impressions are this is a chophouse atmosphere. The wine cellar in the middle was beautiful. Began the meal with a salad which was pretty decent. They brought out a signature jalapeno corn bread with a soft butter - Amazing! This was the hit of the meal for me. For my entree, I chose the NY Strip. The strip was cooked to temp correctly but was just a bit tough even for this cut. The brussel sprouts were under-cooked to my liking; they went home with me for future additional cooking and searing. The included side of potatoes was pretty nice. The selected dessert was a creme brulee which was nice but not great; I couldn't tell you if there was supposed to be a featured flavour as none stood out. Service was very good! The gent taking care of me was on the spot with everything, had good timing, good suggestions, friendly with appropriate amounts of conversation. I'll be back to check out the regular menu as I think 5280 wasn't a stellar outing food wise and I know this place is capable of so much more; I could feel it.
My husband and I enjoyed our date night at the Chophouse. We can’t wait to go again and try their other dishes.
Our server (Ricky) was amazing. He took time to explain the menu and when we had other question he handled them very well. A+ service along with A+ meal. Wine chose was perfect
Was there for restaurant week. Each of the three courses was phenomenal.
Prime rib was so-so. My gin and tonic was flat. Dessert was awesome. Great server.
We came to the Chop House as it was 5280 Restaurant week here in Denver. I have tried a few different places in years past and this was one of the best I have had! The service was quick. The food was amazing. Could not have had a better evening out!
The food was fair for our $310 meal including a few cocktails. I think the meals are overpriced for what you receive.
Nothing too exciting - a typical sports bar with average food. We were there to see friends so the food was secondary
The staff was professional and the food was delicious.
We ordered the diners week special. I ordered the New York with mashed potatoes. The presentation was good but my steak was a little tough. My wife ordered the tenderloin with mushrooms and they were good, but she had some fatty pieces. This was not satisfying for us. I haven't been to the Chophouse in 10 years therefore, I was a little disappointed with this visit. Nonetheless, the waiter was great and very professional. He was the highlight of our visit.
Loved the atmosphere and the friendly staff. We got immediate service and recommendations for favorite items and specialties that did not disappoint. Although it is a steakhouse, I ordered salmon and it was delicious and cooked perfectly. The others in the party that had the steak were also very happy. It did get very busy as the evening went on but we were still able to carry on a conversion and the service didn't slip. Would definitely recommend it.
My party had some pretty restrictive dietary constraints and the staff was very helpful and super accommodating.
Food and Beverage was great as was the service!!!!!
Absolutely wonderful food and drinks. Great selection of house brewed beers, wines and spirits. Excellent wait staff, knowledgeable and attentive. A bit pricey, but well worth it. You will not be disappointed.
Great service and food!
Family in town. Amazing as always!
Food was great as always, our server and his asstant were super.
I don’t think We have ever been to restaurant where we were treated better. Not only is the ambience is great, but service and food were beyond my expectations. Our server Bobby was more than awesome, he had a lot of personality and did a great job interacting with us. He also made some outstanding recommendations. We had the tenderloin tips with mushrooms, they were delicious and the serving was large. Dessert was the apple pie, this a whole small pie, warm and served with ice cream, it was incredible, as well as large enough for three of us.
The manager Marcus (I think that was his name), came by our table, he was also delightful.
We’ve had more pleasant experience as we did here. We will definitely go back, and I would highly recommend this restaurant!
Go here at least once a week and I'm finally done going Here. Food was not tasteful , waiter was not good and I spent 400+ . Will be my last time here but was worth it back then but not anymore
