Great food and excellent service.
We had a excellent dinner. Nate our server, was a really nice guy who took good care of us. Sorry to see you leaving OpenTable, but having heard from a buddy who’s a manager at another restaurant that recently left OpenTable, I get it. I’ll be back regardless!
They followed Covid guidelines very well...with masks, paper menus, plenty of separation between tables and a menu, though smaller than usual, had plenty of their good selections to choose from.
Our favorite steak place in Denver - great ambience. Customer service has always been excellent here, but Covid has taken such a toll on restaurants we felt everyone working there was more appreciative than ever to have us dine with them.
This was the quietest dinner I have ever had here. Man, do I love Covid rules. I had the filet mignon oscar style with the mashed potatoes. The filet was delicious, and my side of chimichurri was amazing. The potatoes were dry and lacked flavor though. Pretty disappointed with those. My friend go the sirloin and thoroughly enjoyed that along with his side of asparagus. We also tried the French onion soup, which was also extremely good. He bad a beer whose name I have forgotten and I had two rounds of Pims cup. Over all, a solid dinner.
Great food! The waiver was great too!
I was my first time there. I was celebrating my 20year wedding anniversary and my birthday. I would definitely return again
I'm not sure what made it so good...but, probably, the best Ceasar Salad I ever had in my life. The Bone-in Ribeye was nicely seasoned and perfect medium. My overall experience at Denver Chophouse was outstanding.
Waiter was fantastic, food was great, thank you all
Great Anniversary dinner
Great that they are open, same high quality as usual. Sounds like they will have outside setting in future. Really missed the onion rings.
Austin was our waiter and he was awesome! We all loved him and would definitely request him next time.
It was an amazing time, the food was really good and the waiter made the entire experience even better. From the soup and salad to the dessert, it was very tasty. Good place to go for a special night.
Food was excellent. Got out own choice of table.
Perfect for an intimate date night. Staff was great and safe. Everything seemed clean and we let comfortable
My husband and I both had the filet and our steaks were cooked perfectly. The flavor of my steak was amazing. By far the best steak I have ever had.
The only thing that didn’t make this a perfect experience were the steaks. My wife and I both ordered filets, but the quality of the steak was very poor. Both steaks were almost grainy in a sense. They tasted fine, but the texture of the steak was terrible. Almost off putting. Austin was amazing! Great suggestions and great tour guiding! His description of the French Onion soup was “on point” as he said. We have raved about the calamari to many people since.
Reopening day seemed to be a big hit! As always we we’re treated like family. The new menu focused on all the favorites including some popular lunch items. Chris M was wonderful and made excellent recommendations.
Super excited Chophouse is back! Hopefully they can hire back all of their staff.
Excellent food and service. Great location. Consistently good.
I’ve been here before and it was great. I Reserved a table for 8 for my birthday party, though I don’t think it was necessary since the restaurant was empty.
Our waiter was horrible, didn’t remember to bring drinks, forgot one persons order, brought out 2nd drinks that weren’t ordered and overall was so slow. There was nothing wrong with the food. We spent a good bit of our time just waiting on him. It was very frustrating. I doubt I’ll ever return to this restaurant.
Great prices, great food and the service was amazing
Service was excellent- we had a lovely female server who had a great smile and good vibes. Went here for lunch on a Saturday. Three of us split a seafood cobb salad as an appetizer (lobster, shrimp & crab meat with avocado & bacon). It was delicious. I had steak and eggs with mashed potatoes instead of fries, my friend had a gigantic breakfast burrito, and my other friend had huevos rancheros. Oh- I'm not the kind of person who cares about biscuits, but you should order them! Oh my gawd, they were the most moist fresh biscuits I've ever had, plus they came with a little side of raspberry jam. Love it when you go to a restaurant and ALL their food is on point.
Great food, steaks were delicious and cooked perfect.
Steak was over seasoned and fatty for the price. Not impressed.
Emily was amazing!!!!
I always love dining here. The music is ambient and not too loud, plus it is just my style of music. The service is always top notch. The food is very good and prepared well. Just a tip for the restaurant: people who eat burgers like fresh thick slices of onion on them, not pickled onions or wimpy thin dried out slices. Other than that, all was wonderful.
Food was terrible. Service was great though (Britney was amazing.
The calamari, crab stuffed halibut and bison tomahawk steak were fantastic. Highly recommend this restaurant for a romantic dinner with your significant other.
Went for Denver Restaurant Week. Food was very high quality for price but service was more casual than I expected from a steakhouse. Server was not knowledgeable of food allergies and thankfully our party realized food she presented as gluten free was actually not. Steak was cooked correctly but fat could have been marbled through more and outside could have been crustier. Overall, good value but not a traditional steakhouse experience.
It was restaurant week and the prices vs portions were very good. A better value than the normal menu. Had some absolutely delicious beef tips and mashed potatoes. Our waitress was sweet, but service took awhile, especially considering we were a later 9:15pm reservation when the restaurant wasn’t that busy, and there were a few food errors of food coming out wrong or at the wrong time, they brought the wrong wine pairing when my Husband was very specific which pairings he wanted. He never did actually get the wines he really wanted.
The food was delicious, our waitress was kind, just some kitchen/ communication errors. No huge deal. We’d do it again for sure.
Good food, nice ambiance, but the parking is terrible due to construction. I would wait until it is done to visit again. Also, if you get seated in the back in the evening or later, expect to hear thumping from the live music from the bar next door. I will ask not to be seated there next time. But overall good service and food!
We visited during Denver Restaurant Week, and both the food and service were great.
We had a lovely dinner. The steaks and side dishes were all excellent, the booth was large and quiet and service was very good. Really can’t ask for more.
We had not visited the Denver Chophouse in quite some time and our dining experience was OUTSTANDING! Great atmosphere, cuisine, and service!
Our dining experience was great! We came for Restaurant Week and were very happy with the offerings they had. GF fried Calamari and GF pudding cake were two options that were very nice to see on the menu!
In general service was well done and friendly.
Starter - Crispy Calamari - Tasted good, good portions and nice and crispy.
Main - New York Strip - Would have preferred less sauce on the steak itself to enjoy a well seasoned steak. Maybe added more sauce to the mash that accompanies the steak.
Desert - Was well done and rich in flavour.
Very fun and food was awesome
We were from Wisconsin on a mini vacation and found your restaurant to be part of the Denver Restaurant Week. Getting reservations on Open Table was easy and we were seated before our time. We both had a three course meal with the Black Angus New York Strip. It was THE best steak ever. Cooked to perfection. The appetizers and desserts were delicious. The crooner/swing music and decor made it a great romantic, but casual, restaurant. Kudos to our server Lauren, who as busy as it was Saturday, made us feel like #1. Thanks for being the best eats of our vacation.
The Chophouse is the 2nd greatest experience in the world, you know what the first is.
What an historic building! And great food as well.
