Good steak house
Chefs cut was amazing, worth every penny. Service was great and ambience was perfect
Good as usual. My salmon& potato were lukewarm. My wife & son in law ordered filet, and they said they were very good. The Kalamari appetizer was very good. I love the Chophouse, and this was my first experience where my entree was fair. I think you should offer a discount for event parking if I dine at your restaurant in conjunction with a Rockies game etc.
Neat place, but even with 4:30P reservations we got placed in the hallway to the restrooms. Different rating if in main dining area around bar.
The food and the service were excellent.
The only down side were the drinks: minuscule pours. We'll go with the wine next time.
Delicious food and drinks! Staff was amazing, corteous and the manager on turn came personally to check on us and made the birthday boy feel extra special! Love it and will continue to come back!
The food was extremely good compared to most steak houses. Server messed up and told my wife that the chef special was scallops and got her excited about them. The manager brought our food out which was a little confusing. He tried to put a plate in front of her that was a grilled piece of fish. She asked why it was brought to her and explained she ordered scallops, and he immediately let us know that the server had messed up. It was a bit odd, almost as if he was hoping he would set her plate down and she would just forget what she ordered and eat it. Obviously at this point she said she did not want the fish, and they went back and made her a steak. It was a weird situation for sure, but the food was great and they did discount our meal for the trouble, so I would go back.
This is the perfect place for a nice meal before a Rockies game. I love this place!
Easy location next to Coors Field...great service, food, wines...my “Go to” place in Denver, whenever the Cubs are in town...oh, and Cubs Win! Cubs Win! Cubs Win!
Steaks are always great at the Chop House. It has been my husband's restaurant of choice for his birthday for the past 15 years or so. The only not-so-great thing this year were the Brussels sprouts offered as a side dish. They were mushy and greasy. Next time I'll remember to go with the rice pilaf!
Visit from Texas at a conference and carried some clients. Everyone absolutely loved it. When I’m back in Denver I will make time to visit again.
Excellent steakhouse. Meat is very good and properly cooked. But it is pricey! Not sure there was an entree under $30 (maybe a burger), and the special was $78!! Not a typo $78. Service was only average - long periods where our waiter was absent. Public parking lot right next door, but check to make sure the Rockies aren't playing that night. Would go there again, but only for a very special occasion and when we have no time pressure.
I met a coworker who came into town and we had a great meal at the Chop House. I found the prices to be reasonable and the service was excellent. I would definitely eat here again.
Typically excellent food and service. This time wasn't quite up to it. Prime rib is usually amazing, this time it just wasn't a good cut of meat. Waitress was very polite but didn't come back to check after she brought it.
Love this place!!
We enjoyed our previous visit so much we had decided we would need to go the next time we were back in town. This time didn’t disappoint us either. Everything was excellent from the beers to the tender and tasty bone in fillets.
My go to when going to a Rockies game!
Lindsey was AMAZING! So accommodating for my moms birthday!
this place is the best. the food was great along with the selection on the menu. try the best meat around.
This is our go to place for special occasions or romantic dinners. The food is great and reasonably priced (not cheap though). The ambiance is quiet and the service is consistently good.
Denver ChopHouse never disappoints! Keep up the awesome job!!!
We had shrimp, crab cake, and steaks. All were fantastic. The medium-rare on the filet was spot on. Service was also excellent. We really appreciated that the TVs were only part of the bar area leaving the dining areas free of the distraction.
Amazing food and drink. Service was outstanding
Alway consistanly good food, service, wine list. Very very enjoyable birthday evening.
Aaron did a great job
Angela was very friendly.
Food was good and hats off to our waiters on Opening Day. The two young men who covered for our party of 8 were friendly, efficient, courteous, and just did a fantastic job to ensure our lunch was a success. I can't say the same in years past...
Always enjoy going to the Chop House. Great place to have a business lunch meeting, plenty of space to talk, not to loud, staff is amazing
We had not been here for a while. We had the shortrib and a scallop special (basically a cajun dish). The meal was superb and our server Rikki was outstanding.
Love this place- great, fresh, clean food and service.
Everything on the menu is delicious. We go there once a month and it's great every time.
Large portion sizes, delicious food, great service.
Please was nice, food was good. Not stellar, but we had a good time and the waiter was so over the top it was hilarious.
Our server was most attentive and friendly. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was elegant.
Everything was great. Food and service were great.
Visited on a Friday night. Despite making a reservation, still had to wait for about 20 minutes. When we got sat, no one came to greet us or offer a drink for about 10 minutes. When that did happen, it was another waiter. Fair enough. Our drink orders were taken and our assigned waiter brought the drinks, the appetizer we ordered, and some of the bread. My date and I ordered Filet Mignon, and each of us requested additional preparations they offer on top. The steaks were finally brought out, but without the sauces. When the waiter came to check on us, we informed him that was the case, the sauce toppings were brought out, eventually. Upon arrival, they were cold, and the steaks were no longer warm enough to melt the steak butter that arrived late. Steaks were decent, though. We ordered two more cocktails from our waiter, and he wasn't seen again until after we finished our plates and asked another waiter for our check. Instead of seeming apologetic, the vibe I got was more that he had already given up on getting any sort of a decent tip, so we felt like an afterthought. He DID take the second drinks off of our bill, as we were ready to leave by the time he arrived with them. Overall, the food and drinks were decent, though not worth the price paid for the wait and hospitable indifference from the staff. Would possibly try again, as it is my hope that our experience was the exception and not the rule.
Overall nice dinner, service was slow but meal and drinks were very delicious. I would definitely go back.
Great atmosphere, great food, great service. My husband and I chose this spot for our date night and enjoyed our experience.
This was my first time going to Denver Chophouse. My boyfriend raved about it and I understand why. I absolutely loved this place. The wine and beer list were extensive and they had a great selection. They serve jalapeno corn bread with house made butter to start...SO GOOD. We also got the french onion soup as an appetizer which was seriously amazing ( a must have). I ordered the filet prepared "Oscar" style with mashed potatoes. The meat was cooked perfectly and the potatoes were delicious. My boyfriend got the New York strip and he said his was wonderful as well. We did not have desert, but the menu sounded great. Only disclosure: be prepared to spend over $100 for 2 people...totally worth t. I will be coming back often :)
This used to be our favorite restaurant. But it has really gone down hill in the last year or two. This visit was an example of that. The wrong salad was brought out, and by the time that was corrected, we had about two minutes to eat it before a 20 oz. bison tomahawk was delivered to the table. By the time we finished the salad, the steak was cold. We don’t eat gluten, which the waiter knew, but the steak was also delivered with a sauce that had gluten in it. The steak was mostly fat, not the quality we expected for an $80 steak. The server was very intrusive and abrasive. Overall, definitely not worth it anymore.
Dinner was great, the service was even better! Both of our meals were delicious and the bread was great as well!
