Denino's Greenwich Village
We originally opened in 1937 as a full tavern on Richmond Avenue, Staten Island until Carlo Denino introduced Pizza in 1951. Since then, Denino’s Pizzeria and Tavern has been renowned for our pizza and Italian cuisine which we always prepare fresh daily. We use our family’s recipes for Chicken Parmigiana, Meatballs and past, over the years we’ve added our own version of tavern favorites like Wings, Scungilli and Hero Sandwiches.
Everything is always made from scratch, never frozen, and cooked to order.
Whenever New Yorkers come home, they come home to Denino’s Pizzeria
for thin crust, crispy, Cheesy Pizza piping hot right out of the oven.
When you visit a Denino’s Restaurant you are sharing in a part of our
legacy and family tradition that started nearly 8 decades ago.

Went here before a comedy show and it was perfect. The pizza was excellent and the mozz sticks were great. Also, good service. I would definitely go back.
Pizza was fantastic! We read the review on TripAdvisor and we were sold!
Skip the claim pie and get a pasta instead
Happy Hour is one of the best in NYC with many delicious appetizers at 50% off and discounted drinks.
Joey from New York!!! This place is hands down one of the best in nyc. You have to try the spicy pasta. It’s ridiculous. The Sangria puts a smile on anyone’s face. Make this a go to place when in the city.
Always excellent food and service. Real family atmosphere
I Felt the wait staff was rude and inattentive to our table. Did not even offer us a dessert menu.
It was the best birthday ever! The staff was wonderful and the ambiance was amazing.
Positives: service was great and server very friendly and interacted great with my 5 year old. Ambiance is quaint and casual.
Negatives: food was so so. Ordered meatballs as appetizer and a pizza (half garbage half cheese). Meatballs were pretty good but we really came for the pizza. The crust was on the burnt side and really had no flavor. For the price we paid for it, I was expecting to be wowed.
We hit this pizza spot every year after seeing films at IFC Center. A true gem. Highly recommend.
This is the second time I have been there. The first time I just stumbled upon the restaurant. This time I wanted to go to the restaurant. The food was outstanding just like before. I visit NYC several times a year. I will be back. The ambiance and food was fabulous. I highly recommend it.
The food was good.
Great experience! I will definitely be back.
Pizza was fantastic - sausage pizza is the best in the city, as the NYC location is as good as their Staten Island OG restaurant. Glad we made reservations as it was a busy Saturday night.
Food was amazing! Service could be a little better.... Waitress took our order and we never saw her again. Didn’t ask how food was or if we wanted refills. Had to ask owner or manager for check. That being said, wouldn’t let that stop you from going. Still a great meal.
Charged gratuity for party fo 4 when menu says party of 6. When asked we were told it is “suggested gratuity,” but then proceeded to be charged that amount. Very rushed service even after asking for a few minutes to read a menu.
Best Pizza and Italian food! Took the entire family and everyone agreed our #1 restaurant in NYC !
Our waitress who said she was the manager was extremely rude from the second we sat down until the end of our meal.
I have been to Denino’s several times and won’t go for pizza anywhere else in Manhattan! The staff there couldn’t be more pleasant. All must try this restaurant!
In a city full of pizza it is hard to stand out
There is simply nothing better than Deninos
The Greenwich Village location has a bit of a cool vibe as compared to the original on Staten Island but make no mistake The pizza is just as good hot crispy delicious perfect
Fresh salad and garlic bread. The pizza was good but slightly overcooked. Good value. Fun place.
Absolutely delicious every time we go there! A must have is the meatball parmigiana!
Split some pizzas and pasta after a show at the comedy cellar! Was seated right at my reservation time.
It’s okay to eat here if you’re coming from the matinee shows around the Village and hungry. The simple pizza on their menu are fine to take care of the teens needing feeding right away but I would not recommend the $29 clam pizza. Hardly any clams or flavor.
Best dining experience in NYC! Best pizza , pasta and service.
Staff and food great
While it isn’t the original on Staten Island
The food was just as great
Awesome location in the village
Great food and ambiance
