I had eaten in this space before and the noise has always been a problem. They need to do something about this. Food was just OK, my "hot" tea was served in a pot cold, and the wait staff needs to be better trained. Not enough servers. Hopefully you can work the problems out as I think the chef is talented. SW
Food was great, portions were plentiful, service was so so in that waitress was not knowledgeable about food allergies like other restaurants and kept forgetting after we told her. Very noisy under portico place needs sound absorption on walls. Will return soon
Excellent service, great menu! We loved the Brussel sprout and date apps. Dinner was excellent , I had the perfectly cooked scallops and my wife had the delicious lamp shank. Desserts were okay....they were not up to par with the overall experience.
The food and the service were amazing! Loved the atmosphere. The restaurant is uniquely decorated. Loved the crab dip for an appetizer, Mediterranean bowl and the lamb were so delicious and the desserts were Incredible!
A great nite out with friends and a meal that will leave you full indeed. Come with an appetite. The portions are big and so is the flavor. Chef Murray is fanstastic!!!
The food was excellent ... as was the service! Tight space and a bit noisy especially for my parents who are in their 80s. There was no where to hang coats :-) or umbrellas but parking was super easy! We will be back because the food was so good!!
Love the new digs! Great atmosphere and the food was outstanding!!
We had the fixed menu pricing with the freedom to choose our starters, entree, and dessert. Korean beef was amazing, melted in my mouth. The pork entree was good. The lamb pasta was delicious. Appetizers and desserts were good.
Chef Dave Murray and his staff were professional and welcoming. The restaurant feels warm and friendly and the food was absolutely outstanding. The Korean Glazed BBQ Short Ribs and the Steak Frites South Philly Style were exceptional.
The Modernist Pumpkin Cheesecake makes dessert a worthwhile indulgence.
I plan to return soon for brunch.
I was very surprised - and quite disappointed - with Denim! The tasteful decor and endearing size have all the makings of a textbook regular brunch spot. Unfortunately, the food was just not good at all. The Belgian Waffles resembled that of a school lunch, dense and two small square waffles without any taste along with a standard room temp syrup. The eggs were incredibly rubbery with no seasoning at all. The French Press coffee was incredibly weak, with color resembling tea.
I am a brunch fanatic and always very forgiving but I just cannot get over how wrong my preconceived notions of this restaurant were. Very sad. I will say the home fries were very good on a positive note.
Excellent service on an energetic Friday evening! If you're looking for a quietly romantic evening, try Denim on a weeknight instead. That said, we were glad to see a local restaurant fill their tables after just moving to this location. We were appropriately seated upstairs at the quietest table and were able to enjoy good a conversation without raising our voices. The menu is eclectic, ranging from Asian to Mediterranean with a lot in between. We shared the date-chorizo appetizer (almost everything tastes better when it's wrapped in bacon). Lots of different flavors going on! My wife had scallops, which she raves about. I had the chicken dish, which came with a huge mound of greens on it that were nicely seasoned...very good. I had the dark chocolate, salted-caramel dessert which was quite rich and delicious. My wife had the Stilton-blueberry dessert which was excellent, but she would have liked to have seen a higher-end cracker versus the Ritz cracker it was served with. I wish I could give half-stars because we would have given Denim 4.5 stars. We'll be back!
Great place to go with friends for lunch. Atmospheric, attentive service and allowed for good conversation. We were not rushed in any way.
The cauliflower cheesesteak was amazing!
Food was Great. Service was Wonderful. Will definitely go back.
Denim was AMAZING! I'm not even engaged yet and I'm already thinking of having an engagement party/bridal shower/rehearsal dinner there! Such a cool place and the food was delicious. Staff was wonderful and I will definitely be back!
The crab dip was runny and the frites were frozen French fries. Both were disappointing. The steak was flavorless.
Just had the best dinner at Denim. Everything was delicious. Would highly recommend this restaurant and can’t wait to go back.
First time visit was a nice one. We were a party of 4 and everyone enjoyed their entrees, especially the scallops. Nice ambiance.
I REALLY want to give this place another chance. Clearly management does not staff enough people on the regular and they were struggling to handle the crowd. I asked if someone had called out and the waitress had said this was pretty usual. The hostess had to take our order because they were that backed up. Unfortunately, I have celiac disease which means gluten-free and I really needed to speak to the waitress. The hostess got our order wrong, but she did the best she could. Not upset with the amount of work the servers were giving because again, it clearly wasn't their fault and the food was DELICIOUS....I could eat those stuffed dates forever and be so happy. But it was a struggle to get our meals correct and out on time.
Came for brunch. Food was decent to good. The dates and breakfast nachos were highlights. Cheeseboard was tiny and poor value for the money. It came with Ritz crackers? Really?
Service was beyond horrific. Over 30 minutes to get someone to take our order. 15 minutes later they came back to confirm some things, as our order hadn’t even been put in system. Once that occurred, good came out about 15 minutes later.
They gave us a $10 coupon for a future meal. It will take a lot more for me to come back.
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Denim BYOB last Saturday. Food was especially excellent! Service was superb also. Will certainly return!
Great experience at Denim in the new Haddonfield location. The meals were fantastic and the atmosphere of the new location is relaxing. Make sure to make reservations. There was a full house when we were done our meal.
Overall very good. Great lobster bisque. My husband loved the pork chip
Wonderful meal at the new location. We opted for the $40 price fixe menu. The portion sizes were very generous and we had leftovers. The highlight was the starter of warm shrimp and crab dip which was served with a half baguette. Huge chunks of seafood could easily serve two. We also ordered the mezzo platter which had pita, hummus, calamata olives, tzaziki (sp) and more. The server was very accommodating. By the time we left, the place was packed. We will be back!
Second time at new location in Haddonfield. Food has gotten even better - entrees were delicious.. even our 7 year old commented how good the food is!
Dinner was excellent. Nice local, seasonal menu. Bacon wrapped dates were delicious, scallops seared perfectly and short ribs melt in your mouth
Food was not flavorful.
I absolutely love the new location. The menu is perfect for a brunch, lunch, or dinner. The server recommended her favorite, cauliflower cheesesteak. Sounds weird? Yes. But it was better than any real cheesesteak I’ve ever eaten. I will definitely be returning, as they were probably about 20 other things on the menu I want to try. Wishing them great success in town.
Great brunch! Our meals were prepared perfectly using the fresh ingredients. Looking forward to returning soon
Good for all types of dining. Friendly staff, good service big menu.
Place was packed when I was there on a Friday night but the noise level , even with a party on the open second floor , was not over powering.
Plenty of parking in the municipal lot makes it very convenient.
A wonderful addition to the Haddonfield dining scene.
Oh my what a Great time, food is terrific! It was our first visit and we will surely be bacK! Highly recommend!!
Apps were good but main courses left much to be desired. Disappointing.
Went there for the first time and was extremely satisfied!! The staff phenomenal our waiter had a great personality and we felt like we were dining with family. The food excellent! I will go back when there new facility opens. This place is a gem.
We had an excellent dining experience last evening at Denim American Bistro which will be moving to Haddonfield next month. My husband & I shared a special appetizer of shrimp guacamole with homemade tortilla chips. It was delicious & definitely large enough to be shared. We then split the wedge salad which was loaded with delicious bacon, tomatoes, blue cheese crumbles, & chopped eggs with a yummy green goddess dressing...it was so good! We then each ordered a dinner special of panko-covered, pan-seared rainbow trout topped with baby spinach & sitting on a bed of rice pilaf. It was scrumptious but we each took half home to be enjoyed another day. My husband ended his meal with their Apple Tarte Tatin which he said was very good. The hostess & servers were all very friendly. Our server, Patrick, was excellent & attentive to all our needs. The chef/owner, David, stopped by our table at the end of the meal to be sure we were satisfied with everything. We will definitely be dining at this byob at its new location!
The food was outstanding! Fresh and delicious. We will be visiting again soon at the new location.
Our experience was ok. Nothing to rave about. We were there at 7:30 pm on a Saturday night and they had run out of several entrees and desserts, which was really disappointing. Food was decent but overpriced. Maybe they aren't as focused because they are moving soon.
The food was tasty and the menu selection covered a lot of bases for being small. My wife and I noticed a weird smell throughout the restaurant that wasn’t gross it was more like the inside of a shoe store. She had a hard time eating there but I just blocked it out and kept eating because the food was very good. One appetizer and two entrees w/o tip $89. If it was nicer inside(bland decor) and didn’t smell like a shoe store we’d go back again but it wasn’t so we won’t.
The restaurant needs to notify patrons they are moving October 1 about a mile away to Haddonfield.
Great experience and delicious food!!!
Delicious food and good service
