The service was great , however, the food is not something I would go back for just bottomless mimosas.
Great time and atmosphere. The food was amazing, would go back.
Love sitting outside at Denim and Oak. We had the brunch. Very nice. Somewhat short staffed but they called people in and staff did a good job to service us. We were there for a while--5 people-- and they let us enjoy the view and mimosas.
This is the restaurant in Hotel Indigo. The server was extremely friendly! I dined for brunch and while they don't have many options, the food was good. Drinks were a little pricey though.
Stopped for dinner while on a business trip. Wonderful service and food.
Great brunch selections, food was tasty and the service exceptional.
Wendy, Matt and Tony were wonderful! The food was absolutely fantastic! Thank you for everything!
We ate here for dinner at the bar and brunch in the lobby seating area. Both were delicious and the drinks were on point. The oysters appetizer was one of the best I have ever had and the breakfast fried rice was so creative and tasty.
Food was delicious! Atmosphere was amazing too! For the price we were expecting at least a free dessert for the birthday girl would have been nice service!
Nice view, acoustics terrible, very loud, service great food very tasty just a little overpriced.
Food is definitely overpriced! The BBQ shrimp was like chewing rubber. The portions are small.
I had more juice than champagne in my mimosa.
Won’t be going back.
The excessive flies ruined the ambiance and overall experience.
Hopefully, the management will address this issue soon.
Food was great. Food arrived quickly. Waiter however did not come check on our table very often so the coffee and diet coke and water ran dry several times. I had the crab broiche and my spouse the brisket. Both very good.
Here's what you need to know about Denim & Oak. Great location and views overlooking the Chattahoochee River into Alabama. Great food, albeit a VERY limited menu. Great service. Full bar. And it's in a hotel - the Indigo - owned by IHG, the Holiday Inn folks.
This wasn't our first choice, but they were booked. We loved our meal. The rooftop bar was a GREAT place for a follow-up beverage. I'll probably stay here the next time I'm in Columbus to see my son at Ft. Benning. It's better than the AC Marriott.
The food was ok. Limited choices and overpriced for what they were. Odd combinations on the entrees. Complimentary valet parking is good since there are limited options for parking nearby other than a gravel parking lot across the street.
We had high hopes coming to this restaurant for the first time in the brand new indigo hotel. Unfortunately, the experience did not go well. We had a reservation and were seated quickly. The host and our waiter was friendly. However, due to multiple miscommunications between the server and the kitchen, many items were not available to eat. Roughly half of the menu was not accessible for lunch. We were told something was available and then minutes later came back and said it wasn’t available. We did not get our dessert until after asking for it after having received the check. The burger that I ordered was absolutely delicious. Packed full of flavor and was a good portion. I ate it all. My friend got the tacos, however, it appeared to have only three or four ingredients so it looked like the three tacos were only filled halfway. We will come back and try again as the atmosphere was great and the other menu items looked good.
It’s not a restaurant. It is a group of tables in a deafeningly loud hotel lobby. Food was less than average.
Puttin’ on the Indigo—fun holiday gathering and great fried oysters, catfish and redfish!
So close to being very good...
- We were sat outside, which was great; however, the tables were low/seats high which made for an awkward table height for eating and drinking... which created a very awkward experience.
- The experience was generally COVID-safe with severs and hosts/hostesses wearing masks, even outside; however, the tables were placed in odd spots which created walking lanes of other partons not wearing masks coming and going very close on both sides of our table.
- The server was very kind and very knowledgeable; however, as soon as my fiancé mentioned a shellfish allergy asking, he proceeded to sell lobster pairings... which a person with a shellfish allergy would avoid.
- The drinks and food were good; however, before I could put a straw in my drink, the appetizer arrived, and before I could finish with the straw and put the brussels on my plate, the main course arrived... which created a very full, small table and a cold dinner by the time we enjoyed drinks and apps.
First time trying Denim & Oak. Parking is a mess. No clear markings as to where to park and the valet is so backed up we sat in the round about for 10 mins waiting. Apparently there is an unmarked self parking lot up the street- per the valet. I made a reservation for outside for the river view dining two weeks ago. Got there and the hostess said reservations aren’t guaranteed. Had to sit inside. Kitchen had burnt something so entire restaurant was smokey. Seafood soup was great. Brussels were not cooked through. Waiter took 20 mins to bring us drink refills, with us having to ask multiple times. At one point my wine glass was removed, rinsed out in the sink, and placed back (empty) in front of me, and stood empty for 20 mins. Food was brought to my 3 year old child on plate burning hot to the touch. This is not appropriate to place in front of a small child for obvious reasons. One in our party ordered steak and was brought a butter knife to cut it with. Had to ask for them to bring a steak knife when we saw the table next to us was offered them. Which took 10 mins. Steak was served with 3 small veggies that were supposed to be cooked- but weren’t. Entrees weren’t worth the high price, and the service made it even worse. We won’t be back.
My mom was in town visiting. I just moved here and had no idea where to take her. I’m so glad I came upon this place and we went here. The food was phenomenal and the drinks delicious. The ambience was great being right along the river. Will come back for sure.
The menu was small and the waitstaff is disorganized. Don’t get the short rib, it’s a super small portion. Steak was over cooked. Bread pudding and deconstructed cheese cake are great.
Loved the view and our waitress. We were disappointed that the brunch menu was the only thing being served on a Saturday at lunch time.
Wonderful service. Lunch specials at $15. We had gumbo, fried chicken on a nice roll, and dessert. We sat outside and the whole experience was wonderful.
Family was in town and they enjoyed this place!
Server Victoria was very attentive! The food was visually appealing and very tasty! Highly suggest this restaurant! The river view is amazing! The portions were just a bit small.
Great food and even better service!
The Bread Pudding is the Best Ever, Anywhere, Anytime!!! (Seriously!!)
My wife and I have become regulars at this location. We enjoy everything (including the managment) of this establishment.
Was here for a birthday. Did not know this location was in a hotel. The waitress we had was excellent and we enjoyed our drinks and food.
Seating choices on the app were limited. We would have rather sat outside. They delivered the wrong meals and drinks to us and had multiple different servers, managers, and bar staff wait on us. They all were very nice and did a good job, but it was hard to understand who was taking care of us and who to ask for assistance when we got the wrong meals.
I Went to D&O for a nice outing with my lady, the restaurant was really accommodating. I asked for a chilled chardonnay to be at the table when i arrived and it was ready. The service here is more than exceptional. I would recommend this restaurant to any one.
I wanted this new offering to be so incredible. It was quite the opposite. So disappointed. The space is beautifully appointed. The lights are way too bright and detract from any ambiance. A beautiful setting on the river. Food review: Brussels sprouts were quite good and crisp in a chili infusion of some sort--9. Burnt ends were good, but not burnt ends--8. Charred carrots, good flavor and great sauce--8. Caesar salad, quite bland and uninspiring--5. Beet salad, presentation blah as was the flavor and out of goat cheese..really?--7. Tomato and onion salad, good flavor and a good helping of burrata, but just thrown in a clay bowl--8. Redfish was good, cajun risotto had a good flavor--8. Short rib pappardelle was neither-not short rib or pappardelle. It was fettuccine alfredo with some cubes of roast beef and some parmesan on top--5 at best. The maque choux was quite good--9. Service was dismal. Had to pour our own wine refills, even though the very pleasant server looked directly at out empty wine glasses. Train your servers betters Columbus. A couple of the specialty cocktails were like Kool-aid, sent them back and they did not charge for them, to their credit. Most sounded very sweet. It is VERY expensive for Columbus clientele. I am afraid they are going to have trouble sustaining those prices and the lackluster food once the novelty wears off. A bottle of Veuve Clicquot yellow label was $115. It is $95 at Chops in Atlanta. And this is not Chops, unfortunately. I sure hope they can get their act together, but I doubt I will visit for awhile. It could be such a great destination. The photographs of the mill/power plant and decor are very appealing.
The restaurant is in the lobby of the hotel, which was fine. The pricing for the food, to me, was high. It could have been priced much better. The staff were all good, the manager was working his butt off, helping clean off table, deliver food, something I haven't seen in FOREVER! Just the food was overpriced, and so-so on the taste.
Excellent food- New Resturant so their still working out the kinks with the service.
I had the catfish. It was 30.00 and “the side” was a teaspoon of curled vegetable topping. It was not particularly tasty. The space is beautiful and the staff friendly. My companions had a steak and were not wowed.
We intended to visit the roof top bar, but it was closed due to inclement weather. Not impressed with the food. I have eaten at two Indigo hotels in Atlanta and the food at both locations was good. Hopefully the Columbus location will improve.
We went for Valentines day. We were seated directly behind the servers station. I had the scallops and my partner had the steak we also had the brussels sprouts as an appetizer and a bottle of wine. Unfortunately we did not receive the same treatment as the tables around us. The scallops were also covered in obviously canned corn .The brussels sprouts were very good. The steak was less marbled than expected for the price and under seasoned... Others around us got an nice explanation of the menu ... a liquor list... We received neither. Even after purchasing a $70 bottle of wine. We ended up garbing our own salt and pepper shaker from the service stand due to lack of attention to our table. They could not locate a steak knife and we were told the butter knife "should do". The sommelier was excellent and an absolute joy. We are a younger mixed couple and I would hope that would have nothing to do with it but those around us defiantly were receiving a different type of service than our table. I will probably try it one more time. I'm hoping it was just the Valentines rush that caused us to be overlooked.
brussel sprouts were absolutely perfect. 10/10
If you like NY strip is fine. It had good flavor. The Brussels sprouts were very good. More steak selections would be better.
