Demo is a restaurant in the West Village serving modern, Europe-inspired cuisine from Executive Chef Quang Nguyen and Sous Chef Dina Fan. Inventive seasonal dishes—like wax beans with bottarga and boquerones—share the menu with updated classics like beef tongue tonnato, alongside a carefully curated list of wines by glass and bottle. The sleek interior, tastefully adorned with red marble and dark wood, hosts a front bar for walk-ins as well as a chef's counter in the back.

Please note: We are a small restaurant. Reservations in the dining room and at the chef's counter are intended for dinner. For drinks and snacks we accept walk-ins at the front bar. Thank you for your understanding.

C'est vrai pour ce bar à vin branché du West Village, qu'Eater a qualifié du bar à vin le plus excitant de Manhattan. Join us as we welcome our friends Andrew and Matt from Scribe Winery. We'll be featuring an array of wines by the glass and bottle, as well as some special menu items to complement them. Founded in 2007 on a property that pioneered pre-prohibition Sonoma Valley winemaking, Scribe is managed by fourth-generation California farmers and brothers, Andrew and Adam Mariani. Andrew and Adam believe that the best wines are a result of a healthy relationship between man and nature, and that a vineyard managed in harmony with the greater ecosystem results in more site-specific wines that represent a sense of time and place. When vinified with non-interventionist methods, the result is a distinct wine that faithfully reflects what the vineyard naturally expresses.

Every dish was out of this world, particularly the fluke and banana custard. Wish this was my neighborhood spot. Will return.

I normally don’t write restaurant reviews but Demo exceeded all expectations. I knew it was going to be good, but the food ended up being outstanding. My husband and I had the snap pea special salad and pork special and they were both incredible. All the staff were all extremely nice and helpful, and the wine recommendations were also top notch. Can’t wait to come back!

I enjoy trying out new places, and having “experiences.” This one was perfect because I only wanted to do a tasting of a few menu items. The chefs still hand-delivered my selections as if I had spent big bucks. The personal touch still matters, especially if you’re dining alone. So it was worth every cent.

Perfect wine bar/eatery. A bar in front, tables along the wall, and very comfortable counter seating in back. The food--crab casino, skate rillettes, gemelli with duck confit ragu, and fluke meunière--all delicious. Service professional--knowledgeable and friendly. Wine list superb, fairly priced, and full of happy surprises. Lively, but not so loud one can't converse. I'll be back.
