Demo is a restaurant in the West Village serving modern, Europe-inspired cuisine from Executive Chef Quang Nguyen and Sous Chef Dina Fan. Inventive seasonal dishes—like wax beans with bottarga and boquerones—share the menu with updated classics like beef tongue tonnato, alongside a carefully curated list of wines by glass and bottle. The sleek interior, tastefully adorned with red marble and dark wood, hosts a front bar for walk-ins as well as a chef's counter in the back.

Please note: We are a small restaurant. Reservations in the dining room and at the chef's counter are intended for dinner. For drinks and snacks we accept walk-ins at the front bar. Thank you for your understanding.

Food was very tasty, particularly the foccacia, calamari salad, special summer salad, runner beans appetizer, gemelli amatriciana, fluke. Chicken was prepared well but not memorable in flavor and taste. Strawberry shortcake was tasty but portion was very small. Service was good but our server smelled of strong essential oils that was distracting to the smells of food and wine. It was a little too noisy but for Friday night, it was expected. Interior is very bland and all very creamy vanilla in ambience. Bc all of the dishes we ordered taste delicious, I will be back but hope for seasonal updates and changes to the menu.

Excellent for date night. Incredibly kind staff and every dish blew us away. The banana pudding is to die for!

Great staff and service, all very knowledgable on the wines and food. Great recommendations. Delicious food, unique dishes. Mushroom rice dish is addictive. The skate cooked perfectly.

One of your employees singlehandedly ruined what should have been an enjoyable evening. This little man with a dark beard was shockingly rude. When I politely asked how his day was, he responded, “What does that matter?” I’ve never had anyone in a restaurant respond that way. I always make an effort to be polite to service workers, but this individual was blatantly rude while I was sitting in your restaurant. I stayed silent at the time out of respect for the rest of my party, but it left a lasting impression. To make matters worse, the steak arrived cold and completely unseasoned. I can forgive an off night in the kitchen, but not the lack of basic courtesy and professionalism from staff. One person can ruin the entire atmosphere for a party, and unfortunately, that’s exactly what happened here.

Wonderful food, service and ambience. We really enjoyed the flavours (marinated squid and arroz a la plancha were standouts - and the fries - get whatever dish that has the fries!!). We can’t wait to go back to try the desserts!
