Great food and service. Take the chefs advice!!
This was my second time at Demera and it was just as incredible as the first time. My waitress was very knowledgeable, friendly, and outgoing. The food is was well seasoned, flavorful and bright and vibrant. It it is definitely worth the cross time drive.
One of mm y too five regular restaurants in Chicago. Always satisfying to the taste buds.
Great, tasty food. The vegetarian options are fantastic. Service is basic - friendly and efficient. Perfect for a quick dinner or to get together with a group
Fantastic taste and service!! The food may not look incredibly appetizing at first, but the taste is phenomenal!
Great dinner good service!
Amazing food I’ll be back
A great dinner as always--and the staff is wonderful at managing special food needs for one GF diner and another who is vegetarian.
Haven't eaten at an Ethiopian restaurant in years. Our first choice would have been Mama Desta's, but we knew that closed years ago. Thought we'd head up to Evanston for Addis Abeba, but learned it had also closed. Now we faced making our selection based on other's reviews. Demera was consistently ranked the highest, so we gave it a try. Nice clean restaurant and a large menu with many great options. Enjoyed everything else we ordered except one of the beef items that had a lot of gristle. Unfortunately, our service was average to poor. Although a sweet lady, our server was so soft spoken we could hardly hear her and her attention to our table was minimal. Although we may try a different Ethiopian restaurant next time, we would go back to Demera again.
This place is consistently good. The service was great and they were willing to give us recommendations that were on point! Recommend!
