Great place and fantastic ambience. Had dinner but the food was very salty and my date and I could not eat it all.
Had a very good time they just need to have better parking
TO BE HONEST THE PLACE HAS VERY NICE DECOR & ATMOSPHERE. THE APPETIZERS WHERE GREAT FRESH AND CRISP. WE ARRIVED EARLY FOR DINNER. WHEN IT CAME TO THE ENTREES THEY FELL DOWN MY TURKEY CHOP WAS DRIED OUT AND MY WIFE'S FRIED CHICKEN HAD NO SKIN. THE CORN MUFFINS THEY SERVED AT THE ONSET OF THE MEAL WHERE COLD AND PROBABLY NOT MADE IN HOUSE. WHEN WE POINTED OUT THE ISSUE CONCERNING THE CHICKEN TO OUR WAITRESS SHE DID APOLOGIZE AND THAT WAS IT NORMALLY MOST RESTAURANTS WOULD HAVE HAD A MANAGER STOP BY TO SEE WHAT THE PROBLEM WAS AND TRY TO OFFER AN ACCOMMODATION. I'M NOT ONE WHO LOOKS FOR SOMETHING FOR NOTHING. I JUST WANTED A NICE DINING EXPERIENCE. THEY NEED THERE OLD FRONT OF THE HOUSE MANAGER BACK. BY THE WAY WE DINE OUT 2 TIMES A WEEK. WE HAVE BEEN DELTA'S DINERS BEFORE NOT TO MUCH RECENTLY WE NOTICED THE DECLINE IN QUALITY. JUST TO BE CLEAR I STILL TIPPED THE WAITRESS 30% ON 100$ TAB.
The waiter Jennica was amazing! She was very prompt and courteous. My friend and I enjoyed our time there yesterday
Deltas was amazing from the food , drinks and ambiance I will definitely be returning. Honestly the best restaurant I have been to in a while . The staff is fantastic and the food is cooked to perfection .
I live in the neighborhood and went to Delta's for dinner and could not be happier. The entire experience from start to finish was excellent. Great drink menu and the fried chicken .. yuuuum!
Will definitely go back soon and recommend to friends.
The food was good..and the portions were kinda small. I ordered the shrimp and grits. I wound up ordering another entree due to the fact I was still hungry.
Overall I like Deltas. The food is pretty good. The ambiance is nice. Noise level is a bit loud for my taste but I do enjoy the music. The service is decent as well. No complaints worth mentioning so that’s a good thing.
We were on a date night; we were a little disappointed because the band cancelled for the evening but overall it was good.
The hostess with glasses almost caused me not to stay at the restaurant. She was not friendly, not helpful and never greeted a guest, in the hour I waited, with a smile. I would like to recognize the guy with braids who was helping out at the hostess' podium. He smiled, he greeted people when they walked in and when they left. He was customer focused, and with him, you can ensure first time customers, like myself, return.
On our first visit to Delta’s, it was for a birthday dinner and in the mood for good soul food. Although the portions were generous, the food was unremarkable.
I ordered the smothered chicken and there was barely any gravy. The Mac and cheese and collards were just OK.
Since we really wanted to try brunch, we gave them another try the next week. Not sure if it was the crowd or if our server was still learning the ropes. Our reservation was at 1p we arrived 10 minutes early, and the place was packed. We were seated promptly and ordered a carafe of the mimosa’s. There was a table in the corner that was having a loud conversation and practically screaming across the table.
No one asked them to lower the volume on their conversation, and one of the guests kept leaning back and hitting the chair of a person sitting my table. In comparison, a larger group was throwing a party in the private room and you could barely hear them.
On to the brunch food, after ordering our meal; it took over 1 hour to receive our food. This is not an exaggeration, it took 65 minutes to receive bland French toast, unseasoned grits and runny eggs.
Our server did not record our order correctly, and did not come back to check on us. One person in our party ordered the short ribs muffin and was told they couldn’t poach the eggs, but would be scrambled. However the menu clearly read, homemade muffin topped with short ribs and a poached egg with hollandaise.
The chef falls short of the menu descriptions and it was more of a club experience instead of an upscale dining experience.
Great vibe, good food at very reasonable prices, really popular. Very loud, but fun. So glad to find a place where people of color are in the majority for once! Really enjoyed it.
Food was so so. Nothing great. Waiter was very nice & attentive. It was very loud even though we were seated upstairs. Won't be going back
Overall the experience was great. The food was delicious and the service was wonderful. My only complaint is seating... seating seems to be a bit on the crap side.
Great experience. I had not been in some time but the food and service did not disappoint!
I ordered the fried whiting with jambalaya grits. It was supposed to be chicken, shrimp and sausage with peppers and onions topped on the grits. When our waitress brought out our meals, there was but 1 piece of chopped chicken on the grits. I told her that the toppings were missing. She took the plate back to the kitchen and came back WITH the plate telling me that she was told that the toppings were grinded up in the grits. How insulting?!? Instead of telling me that my jambalaya grits were missing the toppings, I was expected t believed it was pureed down into my grits! smfh. unreal.
My wife and I love Delta's for brunch! The chicken and waffles is my personal favorite. The front of the house staff is always attentive, and the food is always good! The best part about brunch is the $7 pitchers of Mimosas. Parking in the area is a challenge and they do provide Valet for $15, but we find that its just as easy to UBER and enjoy a few cocktails.
Service was great but the food left much to be desired, and the expensive drinks were downright nasty. Delta's has been a long time fav of mine. I haven't been to Delta's in years and I was very disappointed with the quality of their food and drinks. Also, I utilized the valet and when retrieving my car, the attendant literally drove my Cadillac like he was in a Nascar race. I don't think I will ever return to Delta's after this experience.
Service was exceptional and friendly. Food and drinks were fantastic, especially the oxtails with cabbage and hush puppies. Harlem chocolate cake was yummy. We'll definitely be back.
I always enjoy dining at Delta’s, but two things made this visit better than most. 1: the live music was great and 2 our table server was fantastic! I believe her name was Nikea and she was awesome!! So I wanted to give her and the band that played Tuesday evening a shout out and extend a big KUDOS!
Superb service and an excellent selection of food!
It has certainly been awhile since I was at Delta’s; and the return didn’t disappoint! Wonderful customer service and delicious food. The hostess and our server were so pleasant and easily engaged. Offered meal suggestions and nice conversation. Quick walk to our venue. Limited parking; but you can valet for about $15 for 3 hours.
The customer service and experience I received at Delta’s in how they handle business is extremely disappointing. Especially for a restaurant whose food quality is mediocre and over priced. 1st Friday’s they require you to pay a cover charge if you don’t have reservations even when you just want to dine in. The venue is too small to make people pay to get in as if it’s a club or even room dance. I made reservations and called 40 minutes prior to make them aware of my late arrival due to traffic. The young lady I spoke to replied with just saying don’t worry about it, we’ll see you when you get here. When I arrived, the bouncer/$10 receipent, immediaty informed me of my reservation being cancelled as a no show and that I needed to pay a cover charge without even knowing my name. In addition, he stated there’s a 15 minute grace period allowed before they cancel the reservation. I asked to speak with someone since the young lady I originally spoke to prior to coming to the restaurant, did not inform me of such thing. After waiting to speak with someone about the situation for 15 minutes, the alleged manager on the shift immediately stated I need to pay the guy $10 for cover charge and if I dine in I would have to show my receipt/proof in order to receive the $10 back. The alleged manager did not even listen to the reason why I even wanted to speak with someone in the first place. The point is the lack of communication with their staff in making awareness of their no show policy at the time I called to confirm my reservations, was a mishap on their part. Since to recover is devine, is not a part of their policy or culture, the manager failed in attempting to resolve the problem. I will not be attending this restaurant ever again and would not recommend it.
I frequent Delta’s often and we got together to celebrate 2 birthdays. Our reservation party size decreased from 6 to 4 and as a result they decided to move our request from the downstairs booth to upstairs. We weren’t happy with this choice and went back and forth with the staff about it. It just didn’t make sense what they were asking of us, especially when there was a party of 2 sitting in the same size booth they didn’t want to honor for our party of 4. Eventually our request was honored and about an hour after our reservation we were seated but then our server was not the best. Nonetheless, we enjoyed ourselves since the ambiance and entertainment outweighed the rest.
Everything was great!!
We went to brunch for my husbands birthday. The seating and live dj was great but the wait for the food was ridiculous. Also they ran out of Mimosas. But we’ve been there multiple times and I love Deltas so they got a past this weekend.
Pretty good place
I normally love this place for Sunday brunch. But after today, yeah we need a break from Deltas. Over 90mins, for my food to arrive. Luke warm and to scared to send It back, couldn't wait for another 90mins! We all have bad days, today was definitely Deltas.
The food was good. The potatoes were super spicy. I have dined here before and the food was excellent. I believe the got backed up as far as the kitchen. The hostess came and personally apologized for the wait and even discounted the meal. Excellent customer's service.
I had to wait 15 minutes to be seated even though I made a reservation thru OpenTable. The food came out 1.5 hr after ordering. The server didn't check on our table, or even give an estimate of how long it'll take to be served. After patiently waiting for almost 2 hours, the food came out which was mediocre.
Although we had reservations we still waited 15 minutes to be seated. The area where we sat was hot. When I started to sweat, I took my jacket off. I was still hot after that.
My meal was OK, but my wife’s blackens water melon salad was not blackened and the entree was was the pasta dish from the Restaurant Week menu. The Watermelon salad was nice t good and the pasta dish was mush and did not taste good. The waitress substituted the Red Snapper for the pasta.
The service was good, the waitress was pleasant.
My parents came to visit from NC and I thought this would be a nice touch of southern hospitality. I love Delta’s layout and the food is pretty good. We enjoyed the band although it was a bit loud making it hard to hear each other. We had pork chops, chicken, ribs and turkey wings between the four of us. The chicken was just okay and the asparagus I ordered was not cut to remove the tougher end of the stalk. Other than that the food was really good. Overall my parents enjoyed the meal and had a good time.
Drinks and food were great, however the waiter was extremely rude.
This is my second time at Delta's. First time was great. This time was a disappointment. I was on a date. She ordered pan fried fish on the price fixed menu. it was dry as cotton. I ordered a fried fish in a spicy sausage gravy. It was tasteless with three tiny pieces of sausage. The calamari was tender but tasteless and it was supposed to be spicy. The service was fair but it was not her fault. She was waiting on a party of 25 aside from us.
Celebrated 27 years of marriage - the ambiance, food and sangria made our night it even more special.
Looking forward to the next event!
Needa more parking or parking validation and need more food portions for the loney they charge you.
First time going earlier in the evening. My guess would be that's why the food wasn't that hot. Still delicious, just a little cold.
Hands down one of my favorite spots for soul food and great atmosphere went with my 12yr old daughter and enjoyed every moment...a must try...
I had the smothered pork chops and the pork chops taste good a little old maybe yesterday's I'm going to cook and I can tell the difference between a fresh pork chop in the older pork chop the gravy was too salty add to rice and gravy with it too much gravy string beans were good but atmosphere what's the best part of the meal.Chefs please be easy on the salt
