Delta's Ratings and Reviews
We had a 730 reservation and arrived 8 mins. The hostess didnt seem to happy to seat us until we cinfirmed we had a eeservation. After being seated we places our entire order because we were told the restaurant closes soon.
Corn bread for the table 86'd. After we were told this a table next to us received theirs.
I ordered an unsweetened ice tea asked for another one and told it was 86d. Sweet tea my wife ordered 86d. Server explained everything was put away.
We were being rushed to eat and pay. If the restaurants closes at 8p then the last reservatiin should be at 7.
We live the food and ambiance but if this was my first experience we wouldnt return.
Delta’s used to be a great place for dinner and had an amazing bar scene. I hadn’t been in years but as soon as we arrived I got the impression that things had drastically changed. While the ambiance was still great, the food was just ok. Our waitress was great! Halfway through our meal one of my friends needed to use the ladies room. She comes back and says the hostess told her that the bathroom toilets were clogged and directed her to the restaurant next door to use their facilities. The men’s restroom was open but they only have urinals so my friend puts her coat on and goes to the restaurant The frog and the peach next door. She walks in and quickly discovers that No one from Delta’s had notified them that they were sending customers to use their restroom. Awkward!!!! I’m not sure what’s going on but there is no way that a restaurant should not have a fully functional restroom during operational hours! I can’t say I’d return. I’m guessing it may be under new management???
Overall the food and the ambiance was Great!!! However I would not recommend making a reservation for 7:30 on a Sunday as the service was slower and they ran out of menu items. But once I got my food everything was delicious. I would definitely go again just on a different day.
It took about 45 minutes to be seated. The hostess gave our table away. Disappointed. They were backed up crazy. Seemed a little disorganized. Valet is available probably your best choice because parking is hard to find. The ambiance is nice, food was awesome which made up for the wait. The manager or someone came by and apologized which was very considerate. Server was awesome and very pleasant. Jazz band and DJs were also great. I would go again.
I enjoyed my time at Deltas. I do feel there was a rush to get me up from my table for the next seating. The moment we were each done taking our last bite they were right there to take our plates. I just feel that if the is 1 1/2 allotted for each seating they should allow people to enjoy that time without feeling rushed. People are paying for the ambiance as well as the meal.
The dining experience was good. The food was very good but the one thing that bothered me was the restaurant has a dress code which we followed but the people around us did not wearing ripped jeans and white under shirts. Other then that the experience was pleasant.
We went for an early dinner on New Year's Day. The place was very busy, with a crowd waiting for their tables to be available. Not too long a wait. Seemed like the party from the night before was still going strong. Loud music from the bar area - DJ playing too loud. Music was a bit too aggressive to be a good complement to dinner. Went upstairs and still too loud to be able to have a conversation at the table. Service was slow; our waitress was doing her best but was clearly stretched and stressed. I had ribs, fried okra, potato salad. The ribs were just okay, the okra was good, the potato salad was very good. Ordered a bourbon old fashioned and received rye instead. Place was so busy there was no opportunity to get that fixed. All in all, a pretty sad experience. I'd say January 1 might not be a typical day at Delta's but it really should have been a lot better.
New Years Day Brunch was a extremely tasty. We traveled more than 80 minutes because we had been dying to try. The wait was a bit slow, but the place was packed. Staff was very professional, we'll trained, courteous and attentive. As I said the food was great, 95 cent Mimosas and great music. Delta staff called prior to our visit to confirm our reservation due to the high bookings. We were/are very impressed and we're not disappointed. Delta's exceeded all our expectations in food, service and ambiance! We can't wait to go back and bring family and friends!!! We loved it 💕
The server was outstanding, but I rated them lower because it was 5 degrees outside and my party arrived a little before 12:00 noon and the door was locked and NO VALET parking at all on New Year’s Day. So we had to park about 2 blocks away and walk back in 5 degree weather. We were seated in the banquets on the ground floor which definitely showed their wear and tear. Huge open cracks in the leather seats. This place stays busy but it looks like they don’t put the money back into the business.
Food was delicious as per usual however our waiter was "snippy" and seemed to have a bit of an attitude. We thought it was due to a request we made after a drink wasn't done correctly but patrons who arrived after us cited the same issue and actually requested another waiter. He eventually "warmed up" and was pleasant and engaging the rest of the evening but it initially put a slight damper on the experience. That aside the live band was excellent and made for great ambiance.
A couple of girlfriends and I attended for a few Bdays on a Saturday night. We had a great time. Calamari and southern dumplings were tasty. I had fried seafood medley. Very fresh and tasty. Sweet and attentive service-he brought ice cream with candles to our bday ladies. Would def attend again. Only concerns-Seating too close to the waiters station and band was too loud. We were upstairs and had to scream to converse.
But overall, I had a great time. DJ came on at 11 was good!
This is my second visit to Deltas and I was again very pleased with the food, the ambience and the service. The restaurant offers a menu with a southern slant in a very comfortable and cozy setting in which you are not aware of how large the restaurant actually is. The jazz entertainment start fairly, around 7 PM, and is a very nice complement to the food. We had catfish with collard greens and pecan crusted salmon with candied yams followed by cheese cake. The food is very tasty and well prepared. The only negative is parking. They and Frog and Peach share and expensive valet - $15 for 3 hours. Street parking is difficult to find but within 2 blocks there is a parking ramp. Just plan ahead for that and make reservations - the place is packed.
