We frequent some of the upscale steak chains in the US, as well as a couple locals in my home town. This was the absolute best ever. It has been over 25 years since I have been here. And it was everything I remembered. Every course, every dish was perfect. Thank you Delmonico's.
I went for my birthday and loved both the food and the ambiance! The restaurant is beautiful as well as historic. It is a great place to go for business meetings as well as special occasions - or anytime you desire delicious food. The Eggs Benedict and the Baked Alaska, first invented here, were amazing as were all the sides and appetizers we tried. It seems to us that you can’t go wrong with whatever you order from their menu. The service was wonderful. I already have it marked it as a favorite and will definitely be returning as well as recommending Delmonico’s to others.
We had a wonderful server!
Top notch all around. Highly recommend!
We had a wonderful experience. It was old world charming. The wait staff was fantastic, friendly and informative. The food was amazing. This was our first time but we’ll be back.! Thanks for a great evening
Great steak, wine and historical setting.
great restaurant all around can’t wait to go back lobster was great and the pig rigatoni’s were unbelievable
A visit to Delomico's with important clients was marred a bit by hostess who first claimed not to have my reservation then claimed I booked the incorrect day. Meal was very good wait staff very professional and engaging. Steaks were outstanding.
Great place! They made it a great birthday :) !!!!!
Have been wanting to go for years and happened to be in town on business. SO glad our group ended up at Delmonico's. What great History the place has and the service was impeccable. The steaks were perfectly prepared and the sides delicious. Happy to see that this is one of the few steakhouses that STILL serves Hash browns and prepared properly!!!!
Wine list is pricey but we had an Armenian that was reasonable and delicious. No need to spend $200 a bottle when you can get a great wine for $80!
Love the place and cant wait to go back. Will most likely take groups of clients also!
This restaurant is a classic and didn't survive 150 years by not being one of the very best. Everything is of the highest quality, best preparation, truest to form, no fad food here, no going through the motions, a filled to the top martini glass and if you finish all that off with their own creation (look it up) - a baked Alaska for dessert you will understand why atheism isn't an option.
Alexander is one of the best waiters ever. He anticipated all of our needs yet did not intrude on our meal. Delmonico’s defines fine dining, not only on America, but in the entire world.
What a great surprise. The service was top notch and the price was great. Also, our server was a sommelier
So she selected great wines with the meal. The salad was fresh and delicious, the steak was perfect and best of all was the baked Alaska. That alone would have been worth the trip.
They give you an assortment of breads and they were even kind enough to bring out additional servings of this fruit nut dinner bread.
I look forward to my next visit
Possibly the best steak I have ever eaten! The whole experience felt like being in The Sopranos. The food & wine was amazing! The manager & staff service was faultless & added the final touches to a wonderful evening! The manager especially for his generosity with complimentary drinks the bar after dinner! Salute!!!
Great service all around!
A fantastic experience that all New Yorkers must be familiar with.
The steak was burnt, the sides were salty. The seat was all worn out, with holes
Delmonico steaks & Baked Alaska. Wonderful birthday celebration b
Wonderful food, and service, however we were seated so close to the wait station we felt we were part of it.
Very nice restaurant. The service was great. Food was delicious. It’s definitely pricey but the steaks were very good. I don’t recommend the onion rings. Scallops appetizer was my favorite. It was a little noisy. I wouldn’t recommend for a date night or birthday. Probably best suited for business dinners or solo dining.
Wonderful food and drinks! We tried the New York strip and Ribeye, and both were great! One of the best steaks I have ever had. Also, I highly recommend the Lobster Mac and Cheese! It was amazing!
We had the prix fixe lunch and we were slightly disappointed with the steak. The eggs Benedict and the oysters were amazing but the steak was so-so. I wish we’d gone at dinner to get the full Delmonico’s experience. The service was perfect.
First time we were shepherded into one of the ‘side’ dining rooms. Maybe I took it harder than I should have but there were open tables in the main dining area where the ambiance is much better. Food was very good as usual. Service also fine.
Absolutely amazing food and awesome service! ❤️
Absolutely my favorite restaurant in NYC. GREAT food, exceptional service, and no stuck up attitudes.
Since I was a young man, a visit to Delmonico's was on my bucket list. When my wife and I had lunch there the other day, I was finally able to realize a long-time goal, and the event exceeded all possible expectations. The pre-fixe 3-course meal was superb. The Eggs Benedict was prepared to perfection, while the Jim Brady oysters were unlike anything I'd ever eaten before. The rib-eye we each had was char-broiled to preserve the steak's tenderness and natural juices. Each bite was simply sublime to be sure. Finally, if there could be a better Baked Alaska on the planet, I'like to try it. The meringue outer layer was toasted just right, and the banana ice cream ans walnut cake made for a delectable combo not to be surpassed. Also, the hofbrau beer on tap was a perfect way to complement the meal. The ambience created an atmosphere of a bygone era, making one imagine the famous personages who have dined here since 1837. If you are in New York, a trip to Delmonico's will certainly not disappoint one's appetite and prove to be quite a memorable experience.
Amazing experience we celebrated my daughters eighteenth birthday.
Creamed spinach was a cold. Steak was also a bit cold. Made us question whether the steak sat for a while.
Although some of the prices might be a little high, the quality is evident in most of the food. Cannot go wrong with the ribeye (or Delmonico cut). Starters and sides were satisfactory. The Baked Alaska was a little bit of a let down - although they are the originators of the dessert, either the recipe needs a revamp or the ingredients used to make the dish need to be of higher quality. I would come back for the meat, perhaps next time I'll choose a different dessert to end the meal. Also service was great - thank you Albert!
This iconic steakhouse in the financial district is something to go to....just bring your wallet!
We had a reservation, but we felt we were terribly rushed to finish. We had a bottle of wine and we felt like we had to down it so our waiter could turn the table. Our side dishes were cold, but my filet was perfect! Wine was so-so!
Too touristy. You can get better steak elsewhere. Underwhelming. Service was ok. They got our bill wrong.
Delmonico's was fantastic! We had a party of 6 and most of us ordered the Signature Delmonico Steak.
Our buddy, self-proclaimed food connoisseur, ordered the 45 day dry-aged Prime Bone-In Ribeye while his wife ordered the signature steak. In the end, he enjoyed the Signature steak over the 45 day dry-aged ribeye.
You also have to try the Baked Alaska dessert. It was awesome!
Their wine recommendation was perfect!
If you want to eat stake, I think the Delmonico is the best restaurant in NYC.
Marina was wonderful! Food was fabulous! Everything was just right!
Great Steaks, great history, just what we had hoped for.
Server was very courteous & super attentive. He recommended an excellent meal which was worth every dollar. Food could not have been better!! Steak was cooked to perfection & the lobster was the best we have ever had.
The food was delicious, and the service was the best one will ever get. We had the lobster Newburg style. which Delmonico's invented years ago, and it certainly did not disappoint. I will be going back for sure! My only regret is that after eating a 2 pound lobster, I was too full for dessert.
Was looking forward to this visit for quite some time. Traveled from Florida and visited three steakhouses (Keens, Porter House, Delmonico’s). Ordered the boneless ribeye medium well and it came medium rare. They took it back and ruined the steak completely. Charred the heck out of it and it was still only medium. Had to get to the airport so just had to eat what was edible. The Happy Anniversary dessert was a nice touch. Very disappointed in the steak. Ruined what would otherwise have been a great memory.
Being it Demonico’s I expected it to have higher level of standard. The server didnt introduce his name and the meal just felt like am everyday sequence rather than an experience people cone to have paying $100+. Was looking forward to this meal but it was very underwhelming
