Expectations were high and the evening exceeded it.
Great service, great meal, great experience. Will definitely
Be back. Would return again this evening if my wife would allow it. Hats off to the staff and GM.
It was a fun night. The steak was great. As a matter of fact the steak was the best steak I've had.
What can you say about Delmonico's that has not already been said. First time diner at Delmonico. Had the 3 Leaves Caesar Salad, fantastic comes with a poached egg on top. For my main course, I had, of course, the Delmonico Steak, their Signature Steak. It melted in your mouth. Delmonico offers various sauces; my steak was perfect without them. Shared a side, had Roasted Asparagus & Baby Turnip, ok but not necessary. And some how shared the Profiteroles with hazelnut ice cream and chocolate sauce. Wonderful evening !!!!!
Excellent steaks cooked to perfection. The service is always top notch at this establishment. I can't hesitate to recommend Delmonico's to anyone for a special occasion or just when you want a decent meal. I enjoy that they allow for a business casual attire and not require a suit and tie as some establishments in this class do. I typically eat here every six weeks or so when working in lower Manhattan and I have not been disappointed yet. While some may say the prices are a bit higher than some establishments, I feel the quality of food and service warrant the price.
Great food and great servixe
Excellent experience! Our meal was terriffic! Looking forward to another visit!
Beautiful restaurant . Top of the line food and service . Love the old world charm.
Only disappointing factor was the dress of other diners. I truly think jeans in a restaurant such as Del Monico's was very inappropriate . It is a class-act restaurant. Sad to say most of the customers were not a class-act.
Classic. Institution for steak-lovers. Not inexpensive, but portions are generous & I’ve NEVER had a bad meal here. Everything’s made to order, so joyfully spend on cocktails w/conversation whist you wait.
Had a wonderful birthday meal. Everything was as advertised. Really enjoyed our food and experience.
Outstanding!!! We arrived for 8.15 and it was busy with a good level of noise and action. Come 9.30 it had died down considerably..
Staff were top topnotch and food was great.. Big lumps of meat cook perfectly..
Great food. Great experience
I can see why this place has been around for 180 years! The steak was perfect all the way through and the char was splendid! The king crab mac n cheese was amazing and the creaminess complimented the steak perfectly!
Just as I remembered it from 30 years ago. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
This place is awesome. Great food and service. Get the pasta as an app you won’t be disappointed. A+ all around.
This was the finest steakhouse experience of my life. My girlfriend and I came here for Valentine's Day and were impressed with the experience at every level. We requested a quiet/private table and were seated in a special room. It was very intimate and the food was outstanding. I will definitely be back for another occasion if my wallet allows me...
Love it! A little dark but it goes with the ambience not just good for my iphone :))
It was the second time that I had met a friend there. We returned because our first experience was perfect. This time all was amiss. The waiter did not tend to basics and hovered doing nothing. We felt unwanted which was confirmed when I asked for cheese as a dessert and the waiter rudely waved me off. I live in California and look forward to returning to my former residence, especially as the food in so many restaurants is unparalleled. This was absurdly poor.
Solid but unexciting steakhouse. Relies heavily on name recognition and history, but at least provides a decent meal. Cocktails are underwhelming. If you're looking for the best steak in a historic setting, check Keen's or Peter Luger.
This was my first time at the oldest restaurant in NYC, and in no way did it disappoint. The food was luxurious; the atmosphere friendly, and the service impeccable. We three each had different items, and so we could taste a variety. The lobster bisque was lovely, and the scallops appetizer succulent. We had two different steaks and lobster newberg, all of which were delicious. Dessert was cheesecake (light and airy), chocolate mousse cake (rich and dense), and Baked Alaska: gorgeous!
