Extremely well run restaurant with world class steaks !
Awesome experience . The food was great ,the waiter was awesome. We had a very good time. We are from Chicago and we just picked a place that was close. It was a very good choice would recommend
If you are a steak lover you simply have to try Delmonico's. The signature Delmonico's preparation is consistently the best I've had.
Very noisy! Can’t hear the person sitting at the table across from you.
Not what expected but ok. Average at best.
Delmonico’s was lovely. We originally planned to go somewhere else and had made reservations at that place, but the plans fell through when we made it there, which is a whole other story. I was nervous because we had a large group on a Saturday night, and it was my friend’s birthday. The hostess was extremely kind and empathetic to our situation and said that should we reserve the next slot for us. I am so grateful! We ordered basically all of the starters, which were absolutely fantastic! We will be back!
Had reservation for 530. Was seated right away which was great
Ordered appetizers which came in a timely manner
Didn’t get our food until after 7pm we waited over an hour for it while others came and left and were sat at the same time as us.
We were going to the duke game and didn’t leave your restaurant until 730 and missed some of the game.
When the food came we asked for the check and ate so fast it was so unpleasant. Spent over $300 and tipped $50 on top of it for a really disappointing dinner.
Food was mediocre. Main waiter was slow. Way too noisy.
Staff made it a special meal with wonderful food!
Compared to other high end steak houses this was over priced . The service was wonderful.
Too loud. Uncomfortably busy. It’s the holidays...
Staff was exceptional at handling it, however.
Dennis always make sure we have everything we need. Always 5 star.
Food was ok- nothing to rave about. The place is a bit pricey, but that was expected. Delmonico steak was good, but a few of the filets ordered in my party were fair. Overall, a good spot for dining in NYC around the holidays.
Great service and great food.. The best place to eat when going to Madison Sq Garden...
went with another couple. great meal and wine. recommend the delmonico rib eye and the bacon appetizer.
Friday night before a concert Christmas time was probably not a good time to go. They had private parties on top of a full house. Service was attentive but food very slow to come out of kitchen. My halibut was way over cooked, my daughters hamburger was raw, short ribs were over cooked. 3 of 5 meals were not good, We expressed that to waiter, to his credit he offered to replace but we were already there for 90 minutes and had to get to show. Did not take anything off the bill. Had had positive experiences there in past but this trip was very disappointing
The manager was a complete jerk! Told us he needed the table they set us at, tossed my jacket at my wife. The bacon was really good but my steak frites came out and was terrible. Only went there because we were taking our kids to a concert at MSG. They had a private party and that was this jerk manager’s focus. Will never go back!
Overall, we were disappointed with the food, service and amount of time we waited (beyond our reservation time) to be seated. I won’t be back.
Dinner for two couples at this superb MSG Area gem, that is sophisticated, but not stuffy with excellent food and service. Not an over the top steak house with a friendly bar and professional servers. Any steak will be well seasoned and cooked to perfection with generous, tasty sides. A favorite if you are looking for a cool place with exceptional dishes.
For the cost, it was just ok, definitely not up to my expectations for a high end steakhouse. The delmonico was dry, the sides were just ok and our steak wasn’t great either.
Typical steakhouse fare. Good , if expensive food. Nothing special, but all ok.
Delmonico’s Kitchen was a delightful experience from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. Great staff and wonderful food.
Steak chewy. Weird seasoning. Over priced for quality. Restaurant has seen better days old menu. Needs updating
Delmonico steak which is the prime reason we went here, was not good at all. Chewy and little flavor. Service was slow and while it was busy, they didn’t have enough servers on the floor. Took over 25 minutes to get the check. Won’t go back.
We were very disappointed in Delmonico's Kitchen. The atmosphere was nice and the restaurant was not crowded at all so it was easy to have a conversation. However, we felt very rushed to order and had to ask two times for the wine list and cocktail menu. The food was also very bland and had no flavor. I ordered a filet mignon and it had no seasoning or flavor at all. There was also a huge chunk of fat in the middle of the steak. I would expect that at Outback, not a restaurant I am paying $51 for just a steak! My mom & sister both ordered the short ribs. They were dry and had minimal sauce. The bacon grits that came with the short ribs had a nice smokey flavor from the bacon, however they were gummy and not smooth and creamy as grits should be. The waiter also never came back to check how the food was or ask if we needed anything else. We had to flag him down to order coffee and again 1/2 hour later to get the check. It was nice to not be rushed out but it more felt like we were forgotten about. Definitely would not recommend this restaurant when there are so many wonderful steakhouses in the city.
Very friendly from walking in door through whole experience
My wife and I had a good meal with excellent service and nice atmosphere on a pre-concert Friday evening. We would eat here again!
Good option around MSG - food was good and the service was impressive given the volume of people eating at the same time.
Dennis was very sweet and made sure my adult daughter and I had a great meal and cocktails prior to going to a concert. Food was fantastic.
The food and restaurant were great. We had a nice meal. Unfortunately, they double charged us for the meal which I understand can happen. I called and left a message for the manager who still hasn’t called me back. When I called again today, I was told that the manager had my message and would be reminded to call me back. This is unacceptable to me. You overcharged me $200 and you don’t have the decency to call me back? Unacceptable.
The food was great. Been there many time.
Went out as 3 girlfriends. Girls always like to share food.
The waiter didn’t like that we were sharing
Otherwise great food and great ambiance
Food was under seasoned and underwhelming.
I was nervous after reading a couple of negative reviews recently about them not honoring OpenTable reservations, but they had our reservation and honored it no problem. The food and cocktails were outstanding. Casual, but high end food.
Not prime meat. Not sure what they are doing or how they are still a steakhouse in NYC .
Food was delicious and service were very good as well. Steak was cooked perfectly.
We arrived and ordered simple basic steaks quickly for a concert an hour later. They not only couldn’t prepare our meal in time, they also did not prepare another couple’s dinner in time although they had ordered an hour and half before the concert. We left without dinner! Terrible.
Ordered the special butchers cut for evening meal, which essentially was a tomahawk rib eye for one. Asked that it be cooked medium rare- came medium well to well -very dry and unfavorable piece of meat. Not exactly what is expected from a restaurant famous for its rib eye. Also hand cut fries arrived lukewarm. Didn’t complain since we were on a very tight schedule. What was even more disappointing was that they charged $100 for this special cut. Granted it was a busy night, service was good, and we were seated in a timely manner, but a kitchen of this supposed caliber shouldn’t make such mistakes.
Would recommend only going here if you have time to send back your order for it to cooked properly.
What a mess. They literally ran out of wine glasses and we had 15 min wait for that - incredible. Could not get pepper either. Too many table SQUEEZED in. Too few waiters/waitresses. 630 reservation, seated at 645. Felt like it was opening night.
They did not honor our Open Table reservation or the reservations of several others. The manager was awful.
too loud! Food was great but I could not hear the person next to me!
From the bar to the table way too loud.
Service was good.
