excellent service and food. love the old school waiters in shirts and ties. classic steakhouse. by 9pm on a Tuesday, the place was cleared out. It's definitely for after work early 'work' dinners, expense accounts etc.
Great food, service and atmosphere.
just never disappoints. Another consistent great meal. we each had one of the 'market choice' specials for a Saturday night. Hard to know which was better, the bone-n filet mignon or the bone-in veal chop. great food at a fair price. try it!
For a business meeting we decided on Steakhouse burgers. The selection of toppings were excellent as were the fries. The bun was good but a little oversized. The burger was nothing to write home about. It was just OK. There was an off-putting taste to the burger on first bite which turned out to be the stalk of the lettuce. Overall, the Kitchen is a place I love for business meetings, but alas not for burgers.
Delicious and a good value as top steakhouses go. Will definitely return.
one of my favorite restaurants in NYC for business and pleasure
Fair service. Perfectly cooked risotto. Crab cake burnt on one side. Good DK potatoes. Good cream of asparagus soup. Tasty chocolate souffle and baked Alaska.
The waiter was extremely friendly and knowledgeable.
The food was very good, but they have so many 2/person tables squeezed along a wall that we had to move our table in order to navigate between the table next to us. Without much effort, we could hear the conversations at the tables on either side of us.
Service was extremely quick, so we had no problem meeting our pre-theater time schedule.
It was a farewell party we had there of party of 8. Service was good, but they didn’t do anything special such as writing congratulations or sth on the dessert plate . It seemed like a everyday dinner. Wish they would’ve done something more special or at least ask. I have made the reservation on open table and have mentioned it there. Spent over $900 wasn’t even the issue . It’s okay , I’d personally prefer the Delmonicos down by Wall Street .
Tremendous overall experience at Delmonico’s Kitchen....kudos to Dennis and his entire team!!!! Go to place in Midtown Manhattan for me and my guests!!
The service was wonderful
Great menu and a fabulous venue. The service was excellent and the waiter was very knowledgeable.
Food was flawless, every dish was delicious. Most professional Waiter, knew the menu , made great recommendations and attentive, but not intrusive. I will return next time I am in the city. It is not cheap,
But then you get what you pay for. Sitting by the window, looking out to a cold winter rain with a well made cocktail, could not think of a better way to spend a Saturday night.
We had the Delmonico steak, steak frittes, mushroom soup, crab cake and potatoes, onions and sauteed mushrooms.
Wonderful steak and excellent service
Great Delmonico steak! Love this place! Never disappoints.
Great food and service. Did NYC restaurant week menu and definitely a great value.
Great service. The risotto was great and the cheesecake was nice an light.
The food wasn’t worth the price. Chicken was over cooked and the short rib was fatty and greasy. Baked Alaska was definitely the highlight of the night . Go there for dessert skip dinner here.
The food was decent. Gave us time to talk with friends.
was a good value for restaurant week and still is one of feew restaurants that serve Baked alaska.
Meal was great. Good table. Service when we were between courses was a tad slow.
It was an awesome experience I have eaten at the original Delmonico’s and this location lived up to the name sake
Steak was nearly all day and French fries were cold and unsalted. Service was slow.
By far the worst service ever had. Staff was rude, over 2 hours to get meal. Very disorganized
Great food, drink and service, albeit a bit noisy just before a Ranger game.
Delicious! Always a wonderful meal!
The food was delicious but the poor service took away from the experience.
To be clear, our waiter was exceptional. My steak however, was just average. Considering the price point, it wasn’t good enough for me to go back.
5 min. walk from Penn Station. Steak was nice - service was great. It actually went good from the best, except the coat lady in the front - horrible feelings on the way out, despite overall pleasant experience.
Went for restaurant and was rushed through dinner! Literally no time in between courses, even with buying a bottle of wine and the supplemental dishes!!
Place was outrageously hot, to the point that it was so uncomfortable that we ended up going outside for fresh air in between courses.
Steak although was cooked good inside was so charged outside that it threw the flavoring off.
Management didn’t seem to care at all.
Wonderful food and excellent welcome and wait staff. A bit noisy for my ears. Off hours might help.
Food was good, but the service was lackluster. Party was finally seated an hour past our reservation. Confined to a tight space that did not accommodate the party comfortably. Table was right next to bar which was too noisy. Ran out of dessert options before 9:00PM.
Waiter was not very attentive .. much more interested in the larger groups w/ expense accounts... would like to see a steak dish on future restaurant week menus ( without an up charge)... maybe sliced London broil & frites?
absolutely chaotic, constant rush hour ambience. Our decrepit salad took 45 minutes to arrive, after we reminded the waiter 3 times. Obviously missed our order. steak was ok. missed the side order. manager offered to "waive" the $20 steak "surcharge", and offered up as an excuse that "we do every billy joel concert and serve hundreds each time and NEVER have a problem" , giving me impression that we were really quite fortunate to receive his extreme generosity!!!. Never again.
Good in every way for which one can hope from a restaurant
It was Restaurant Week 2018 and a get together Sunday dinner with friends. Wanted to go to Delmonico's @ downtown FiDi but they don't do Sunday's dinner so we decided to try midtown location. First food was not that special or outstanding. Had better elsewhere. Also service was not attentive or great. Ask them for some extra bread to go with dinner. Did not get it or even came by to ask "how was the food and or service". Anyway not a MEMORABLE dining experience .
The food was not good and way overpriced
Food was tasty and great service
