Wonderful dinner and service
Convenient to MSG. Outstanding service and great food. Meal was perfectly paced, without being rushed. Very nice wine choices.
The only negative was that they did not advise the prices of the specials. We had osso bucco, which was outstanding, but we were surprised when the check arrived , and it was $79, which was $50 per plate more than the short ribs we were contemplating before hearing the specials.
Food and service were excellent
Last minute reservation for a party of 9 people. We were gathered for an unexpected family emergency and had a wonderful night, mostly due to the incredible hospitality provided by Denis. Food was great, but the people were even better. Thanks, Denis and team! ❤👍🙂
Great ambiance and service. Our waiter was incredibly accommodating and pleasant. It only got loud when a large party came in, but a nice place to go for lunch or dinner.
DK is a breath of fresh air on a street that is a tad dreary . From the moment you step in the door you are greeted warmly. If you choose to order a drink, the bar will make it prepare it to your liking . This is also the case with the food , we had a special salad along with the Amish Salt Brick Chicken and Faroe Island Salmon . What I think is most special about DK is the service . Most places hover between neglect and overbearing , but at the team at DK from waiters to busboys are perfect in taking care of their diners . Bravo .
The service was excellent, from the moment we entered the restaurant. The food was delicious and great ambiance.
A Most Gracious Host to greet us, delightful dining room staff, impeccable cuisine. It is perfect spot in all aspects before another KNICK "L" at MSG
Not good food
Could easily be 4 stars. Problems- food cold and service eh. Food- Ordered porterhouse for two. Came wicked fast - great. Unfortunately it came on a plate that wasn't hot - not even warm. Then served onto side plates that were on our table for bread. WHAT?! I've been going to great and decent steakhouses for 40 years- every time you order steak for two or more it comes on a nuclear hot plate so it stays warm. More times than not they separately deliver a clean plate from a warmer that's commonly also stupid hot with a corresponding warning "DO NOT TOUCH THE PLATES- THEY ARE HOT"". Our stake and plates came cold and got colder. Re service I had to ask three times for a diet coke refill over 10 mins. I get there are busy times but that was way too long to reasonably wait. This was my second time to this DK. Neither time was positively memorable. First time was OK- this time was really disappointing.
Food and service were both top notch! Would highly recommend!
Had a business lunch here on a busy day during the Xmas rush. Everything went smoothly. Walked in from the busy, crowded street and sat down to a relaxing and well-done meal.
Came here for my special birthday dinner and was so disappointed. We were jammed packed against a super loud family. Hot and stuffy. The bacon was amazing. The steak was not. Was not worth the $200 price tag.
Visiting NY and found the restaurant on a search. Very good food and service.
Had a reservation for 6:30p prior to an 8:00p show. We showed up about 10 minutes early to find a group of others with the same table time waiting near the host stand. We ended up getting seated at 7:10p which forced us to have two appetizers instead of the dinner we planned so that we could get something with enough time to make our show.
The host was stressed and seemed to do his best to mollify those of us who had tickets (which was most of the group). He claimed that a number of earlier reservations showed up late and were camping out, which evidently became our problem.
The food was fine and they served us a glass of wine quickly, but a well-planned evening for a big night out became a hassle and included unnecessary stress.
Great experience waited a bit after reservation time but was treated very well and they cared . Could not be better
Great food. Very loud and very crowded. We will go back, though!
Great lunch , highly recommend this place , will definitely be back
I wasn’t going to write a review but today was just so disappointing. When I put my 3year old toddler to bed tonight and he told me the restaurant made him sad and hungry I had to leave a review.
We arrived at 6:20 for our 6:30 reservation and the restaurant was full so we was at a table across from the bar. They restaurant was busy, we had to track down the manager/host to ask if we should just order from the bar. We finally got a waiter over and I ordered the $30 Salmon for my 3 year old. We wait over 40 minutes and finally ask when the food was coming and the waiter didn’t put it in. My poor toddler is looking at my sad and telling me that he is hungry. I told the manager/host who did not apologize or offer to help in anyway.
How could this be a delmonico restaurant with such bad service!
Great space, menu choices and hosting.
Great date night restaurant. Quiet ambience. Food and service were great.
Good food and goof service
Beautiful tradotional steakhouse located just north of Penn Station.
It was great
Best in service best in class. Consistently, outstanding. This is my favorite NYC place to kick back and eat in style.
Great location . Food wonderful and service friendly. Perfect for pre theater , drinks or a leisurely dinner !!!
The red snapper was outstanding and the octopus was delicious and so were the fried oysters! Will definitely come back!
The service was a little slow but the food was great, as always. Too bad they didn't have Lobster Newburg when we came but we settled for the always-reliable Delmonico's Steak. We're becoming regulars here.
Signature Delmonico steak was a bit small and not well marbled for the price. Short rib was quite good though.
Birthday dinner celebration. Service was great food was great and wine suggested was excellent
Awesome! Great service, wonderful food.
Food, service and atmosphere were all very good. A little pricy but comparable to other high end steakhouses in NYC
Portions very small for what you pay, Manager overall does not care about your experience there even after expressing your dissatisfaction. Service was good but it was quiet and lunch time so it is hard to judge. I would not recommend.
We went for restaurant week and the menu was disappointing. A lot of the options required a $10 supplement which was not advertised in the online menu.
We had tickets for the Queen concert. Aware of the time constraints our waiter took our order quickly. While it took a while to arrive it was worth the wait. Loved it. Food was fantastic, and we got out in time for the concert!
Fantastic biz lunch
Where do I begin when writing a negative review. First time last time. Went with their prix fixe menu for lunch.
Waiter was nice till I had a complaint. Ordered the risotto. Menu shows peas, mushrooms and asparagus. Brought to table with huge chunks of carrots. I am HIGHLY allergic to them however when I mentioned it he had the nerve to check the menu first. Then the computer before taking it away.
Never asked if I wanted something else OR what veggies I'd like. Nothing.
Brings it back with LOTS of zucchini. No shrooms and no peas - and the asparagus was raw.
Was tasteless but not waiters fault.
Dessert were cookies. Again I ask any nuts in these? Yup - walnuts. This is another waiter and after I say oh sorry I'm allergic he says "well that's it"...and leaves
Terrible terrible stuff to someone with serious allergies.
They should take a lesson from a Danny Meyer restaurant. Not only do they ask about allergies ahead of time but if something is wrong they whisk your plate away.
Who wants someone passing out in their restaurant?
Obviously this place does not care and yet I tipped them well.
More annoyed I did. Did that due to the fact that we sat there for awhile.
It was NOT deserved.
Basically this is a place I'd never recommend.
They treated me poorly and trust me, last thing I want to do is not enjoy a pricey lunch.
we wanted the 20 oz lobster tail but it was not available
Food was good, but I do not normally order steak when I go out to eat since I can make that at home. This steak was not so much better than what I can buy at the store. Also, almost too dark to see food.
Delmonicos kitchen never disappoints great food and staff
