dell'anima Ratings and Reviews
Came back for a second time to celebrate an early Valentine's Day dinner. The service was horrible and the waitress was not helpful. Food was excellent, but removing this from our short list of go-tos. We had a better experience wandering in off the street and dining at the bar than we did making a reservation and formally sitting down.
I had mushrooms and polenta brunch, and it was delicious! Great for friends' get-together to really catch up as the restaurant is not noisy, and you can actually have a conversation without having to scream at each others! Staff were friendly and helpful, and they did not rush us. Had a really relaxing Sunday brunch. Definitely going back for more of those pleasant experiences!
I liked this place, but it was a bit too loud for my taste on a Thursday night at 845PM. Despite making a reservation we still had to wait almost 20 minutes and then what made matters worse, they asked us to move during our appetizers to seat a bigger group. They comped a friend's drink, but still would have preferred not to move. The appetizers were ok. We ordered some bruschetta and some quail. The pasta was better and the main courses were the highlight of the meal. My venison was excellent. My friend's duck was also very good. Dessert was ok.
Made a reservation at the last minute, what a great choice of restaurant. From out of town and was ready to eat something elegant. Our server, Joanna, was fantastic and very helpful in the decision making. Her recommendations were spot on and even though we were one of the first reservations the restaurant filled up fast. We were served in a timely fashion and the food was wonderfully HOT. Started with the 3 Beets salad and Bruschette, delicious!! Duck leg confit was beautifully crispy and simple in preparation, hit the spot. Polenta was so creamy and a great compliment to my Rabbit entrée. Finished the dinner with cappuccino and almond cake, which was just enough. Would definitely make another reservation when back in town.
The food was fantastic and we will absolutely go back. We are eager to try the sister restaurant to see if it’s as good or better than this one. The people we were with loved it as well. We stared at the wine bar next door which is amazing! Great selection of wines and the women working behind the bar new what type of wine you wanted just by describing it. We highly recommend.
been here at least 5x over the years. walked in, was pretty empty but still ignored by the hostess standing at the computer for 3 entire minutes sipping a drink despite being inches away from her.
the spreads for the toasts and the bread itself are all of lower and less fresh quality than they used to be.
my wife's pasta was same dish she had last year but instead of being flash fried gnocchi, this was deep fried.
my monkfish was exteremely undercooked. after sending it back and curious if i would get a new dish or a reheat i waited 10 minutes to be delivered a reheated dish which was inedible, it was still undercooked and rubbery, i didn't touch it.
The tajarin carbonara was the hands down best item on the menu. The pollo ai diavolo was also an amazing concoction, with an alluring crispy outside and clean white breast inside. The greens also paired nicely. Not too spicy, but enough to awaken the taste buds. The restaurant has a great date ambiance: small, cozy, and authentic. Expect about $30 a person excluding tip. Well done dell’anima. We will return soon.
Friendly check in, seated on time. We had Tagliatelle alla Bolognes, Fried Gnocchi with rabbit, Tajarin alla Carbonara and Venison. All the pastas were fresh, perfectly done and quite tasty. The Venison was medium rare and the star of the night. Service was very good and will come back for sure!!!
Had a res at chef counter, was told we would be seated. Then ended up eating at the bar after waiting patiently for 20-30 mins. First bartender was great, second one acted as if we had offended her somehow. Tough to get a drink or attention even though no one was at the bar. I’m sure it was just an off night.
recommend making a rez before coming, good for people watching, impressing guests, or a romantic date but the overall volume is a little loud if you are expecting something more intimate. The atmosphere was inviting and energetic, the fried gnocchi was superbly prepared❣️👌🏻💯
