The name, Della J's Delectables, was inspired by my mother, Della, who along with my father, Lee, provided the inspiration for everything I do. I added my own modern twist to some of my mother’s favorite recipes and included a few new favorites, thus Della J’s was created. Come and enjoy a taste of pure, simple, delectable home cooked foods. Della Js never disappoints. This time I tried the catfish and grits. The catfish was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! Typically when I order grits for any meal I have to add a little salt or pepper. The only thing I had to add to these was my fork. Our server was sooo friendly and attentive. I wish I could remember her name. Can't wait to try something new on our next visit.

Food was excellent! Hushpuppies were delicious! Fried tomatoes best I've ever had! Were not able to try the peach cobbler because it had not cooled long enough! Found that weird.

We celebrated 4 birthdays over lunch after church services. The food is always delicious and never disappoints. The service was impeccable and the ambience was perfect. We had a chance to meet "Hurricane Katrina" who stopped by to introduce herself and see how our service was going!

I’m southern (Georgia). This is the only place in VA that can honestly say serves delicious food. My friend and I visit regularly. Hope it stays open FOREVER.

We had a fun server named Michele who was personable, efficient and totally LOVELY! When I come back, and I will, I will request her to be my server. The food was good, the drinks were delish and we had a fun evening. We came for the live music but really just had an overall great experience!

We visited Della J's to have dinner in honor of my brother and sister-in-law's 12-year anniversary. Everything was great from beginning to end. The service was impeccable. The food was delicious and well-seasoned. The pork chops were moist, tasty and plentiful. The sides to include the potato salad and collard greens were amazing. My sister-in-law was raving about our meals all night. Plus, there was a jazz band that was superb. This was a great location to celebrate their wedding anniversary. I highly recommend Della J's.

The food is always on point - a great variety of good home cooking. Their fried food is light, crispy, and not at all greasy. Everything is from scratch. Everyone is friendly and welcoming. I can’t wait to go back!

The experience at Della J's Delectables from beginning to end was a wonderful experience. The front desk seemed a little overwhelmed, but soon got things in order. The service and the food was good. The server would stop by and seemed to enjoy seeing us enjoying the food. The food was delicious, no disappointment there at all. We had coconut shrimp and grits, hush puppies, catfish, collard greens, sweet potatoes and cornbread...simple, tasty southern cuisine anyone would enjoy.

this venue is family owned, southern style food and very well ran...they welcome you and take care of you our server was a young lady I forgot her name but she knew the menu and made recommendations on the best dishes and sizes which was great! Give it a try.

First of all our original time was 1:00pm but I call the restaurant and talk to Mike to change the time to 5:00pm So if I didn’t call to let someone 1:00 was supposed to be change to 5:00 so Judy was going to put me down for no show. But Judy took care of it. Then the waitress Crystal trying to get over on me by charging a gratuity which we had only 5 people in our party. She charge my son $14.00 gratuity he it was just two of them on the check. I don’t like people to steal from customers or get over on people I was so made that we went to Judy and she told me to talk to Aaron the floor manager about it. Aaron took the gratuity off for me. My husband and I talk we don’t want her anymore for a server. You know you only serve 5 in the party not 6. Other than that food and atmosphere was great. I had to get the menus for our table. Because we never received no menus. I know they was busy but we was waiting awhile because of it was so busy. Aaron did great on drinks. Hostess took great care of us. See we are regulars there . Thanks again.

Very good Southern comfort foods, but prepared in a great way so that the qualities of the foods shine through without excessive sauces or seasonings that would overwhelm the foods and their flavors. The catfish, greens, sweet potatoes are all excellent. Visited on a Tuesday evening, one of the lighter days in terms of crowd and all of the food came out fast, hot and fresh. Definitely recommend.

At Della J the food is great. Our server Maria great although she supposed to get off at 4 she stayed to serve us until we finished. Thanks Marie great server when you comes to Della J ask for Maria.

This was our first time at Della J's. I will assure you we will be returning in the near future. The food and service was fantastic. We took our daughter and son-in-law there for his birthday. It was recommended by a childhood close friend and she was spot on about Della J's. We knew the place was going to be amazing because our friend is very critical of resturants with bad food or bad service. Della J's has thumbs up from our family.

The waitress we had was not attentive and all over the place m took her at least 15 minutes after I was seated to even get water. Longer to get a alcoholic beverage. She said she had too many tables.
