Della Fattoria is the kind of place that can quickly
become an obsession. The family-owned Bakery and
Café is a favorite local hangout for its world-class menu
sourced from the freshest produce of local farmers,
ranchers, dairies, coffee roasters and wineries. Everything on the menu is delicious, sophisticated but causual. Service
is warm, professional and personal. Housed in an historic downtown building, the newly remodeled Café space is furnished with handmade tables and benches, antique chandeliers and overstuffed chairs and couches making it even harder to leave.
Food and atmosphere great but the service was slow
Great atmosphere and delicious dinner. We had several things and the highlight was the pasta with tiger shrimp in a light creamy herb sauce. FABULOUS!
The service was a bit off (and I'm not that picky). But we will go back to Della Fattoria again and again!
We love Della Fattoria! The food is amazing and the atmosphere is so much fun! I particularly enjoy the Frito Misto and the Fresh Sea Bass. The wines are good and the service is great! All good!
Cafe is way better than their restaurant. My pasta was cold, the pizza was bland. Didnt come back to check on the food till after we were done. Never asked us for dessert or coffee and just dropped the bill. The restaurant was completely empty and we were sat at a communal table right on top of three other people. Not a good experience at all.
Delightful whimsical and charming setting. Excellent thoughtful menu based on first rate local ingredients. Friendly efficient service, overall a most pleasant way to spend an evening.
Really enjoyed their new fall menu. We started with the caponata and the meatballs. Then had the beef chef pasta and the catch of the day over foam and fava beans. Nicely seasoned and tasty.
Great server who took care of us at all times. Celebrating a birthday and it was lovely here!
Trendy spot in downtown Petaluma. The food is just good to very good; service a bit negligent.
The place is very pretty but the food has a long long way to go!
It was my birthday dinner and as usual Della Fattoria did not disappoint. We are so fortunate to have this wonderful restaurant here in Petaluma. The Webers are to be commended for providing such a wonderful destination for breakfast, lunch or dinner. My Halibut with butter beans and chorizo was mouth watering and my husbands beef cheeks pasta was unique and scrumptious! If you haven't been you are really missing out on something special.
Great space. Casual yet professional service. A neat and nicely priced wine list. Highly recommended.
We eat here regularly but found this meal to be somewhat dull. The menu was heavy and not as focused on seasonal produce as usual. The pizza was good but very oily, as was much of what we ordered. The caprese salad was great but tiny. Four slices of tomato with mozzarella on top.
The various staff repeatedly tried to take dishes before we were finished, didn’t replace silverware or plates or refill water. That bothered me more than an off night of food. There was a large party at the front of the room so perhaps that threw off the staff.
Excellent friendly service. Very welcoming. Delicious food.
We chose Della over a number of other Petaluma restaurants we enjoy because we hoped that it would be a bit quieter and knew that it would have some dishes we wouldn't find elsewhere. Ironically, we sat at the same table that we sat at during our previous 2 visits post their remodel. We started with the charcuterie plate (shared by 3) and then each had a Caesar salad. Two of our group ordered pizza's (one pepperoni and one sausage) and I had the halibut. We shared a bottle of Napa Cabernet. Our server and the supporting servers were on point and friendly. The food was served in timely intervals and was delivered well prepared and at the right temperature. The 2 who had pizza's found them to be very good and enjoyable. My fish was tender and warm with quinoa, kale and fennel a perfect accompaniment to the fresh fish.
Another wonderful meal at Della which is rapidly joining our other hometown "go-to" spots in town. Bravo to the team @ Della.
My bride and our friend from the UK went to Della and I stayed home with the new puppy. What I heard from them was
* It was wonderful!
* The restaurant itself was unbelievable... lots of space vs having tables jammed closed together. And the interior design continues to surprise and impress.
* Calling it “service” doesn’t capture the Della experience. The greeter is warm and wonderful on the way in and talks about “take care of that puppy!” On the way out. Owner Kathleen stops by the table to chat a bit . The front of the house manager, Miles, calls my bride by name and gives her a welcoming hug, and introduces himself to our friend. My bride blanked on the name of their server, only saying that she was wonderful and loved her hair braid. It’s a feeling of being “known” and “welcomed back.” It’s quintessential Petaluma Nice, and the reason that Ptown is the nicest place I’ve ever lived in my 74 years on earth.
* they shared the Fritto Misto (sp?) and raved about it.
* they each ordered the ratatouille en tranche (sp?) and said it was fabulous
I think they passed on dessert.
I’m sure there were beverages but they didn’t share that info.
They said they were allowed to peek in the bakery to see if they wanted to bring some bread home...
All in all, on a scale of 1 to 10, it was an 11.
Jealousy is a terrible thing :-)
Lovely setting, seriously romantic. Attentive service, friendly and welcoming. Interesting beer choices. Dinner menu is a little limited.
Very nice, we’ve been several times for brunch and lunch experiences, which were always phenomenal. The dinner service has a different feel. The hostess sat us (we arrived early at 5:45p for our 6pm reservation, party if 2 celebrating our 12th yr Anniversary). The odd experience was she alerted us that the tables are reserved for 7:30p and she hopes we understand we would need to enjoy our meal by then. 🥴 of course we respected the limit and wrapped up our time there by 7:25p, but having to keep that in mind was distracting. She also sat the table next to us right away and that couple remarked why they weren’t placed somewhere else in the restaurant since most tables were empty from that 6p time until 7:30p when most patrons began arriving. The whole experience was just odd for the expectations of Della, and for the price point. Sadly, we’ll probably choose another spot for future special occasions.
Amazing! Everything we tried was perfect. So were the servers. Our favorite in Petaluma.
The bread was DELICIOUS and our food was pretty tasty. Our server was kind and the wine was nice. The place is a bit eclectic. Overall, a fun date night.
There were 5 in my party for dinner. In general, the food was good, but poorly proportioned and as a result—overpriced. My wife and I ordered the seared salmon which came with a good assessment of vegetables. Unfortunately the quantity of salmon was about the size of a small fish stick. For $28, there should have been three times that amount. The melon salad was good, as was the apple braid tart for dessert.
I live in SR and just discovered this fabulous restaurant and bakery last Sunday for brunch and loved everything about it so much I went back during the week for dinner. Both experiences were amazing. The decor and ambience are like nowhere else and the food is magnificent! The staff is well-trained and friendly. I couldn't ask for more. 10 stars!
Food was excellent. Service was impeccable. Both of us were very satisfied with our meals.
Festive and delicious.
Food was fantastic. Love the eclectic ambiance. It’s a great addition to the Petaluma dining scene. Been missing for a LONG time.
Food was good service was excellent. Problem is they was a scanty menu
Della Fattoria is one of our favorite restaurants! Love the food, the atmosphere and everything about it! My current favorite dish is fish of the day which was halibut Saturday night. The preparation is unusual and includes some pork belly. Delicious!
Always great to see Miles at the front of the house.
My bride and I LOVED the melon soup. It was both visually and palate- appealing.
I had a sausage pizza. It was a little bigger than I planned on.
Love the new sausage pizza!
Sitting on the wood bench along the wall no cushions was not comfortable for a fit 62 yr old and fit 30 yr old. Great atmosphere, great bread, not noisy, but if you know how to cook not exceptional. Their bakery a better choice.
Don't be fooled by simple menu, the fruit/produce is executed with passion. pea fritter, onion tarte, spring vegetable risotto, and a rib eye steak fritos were well complemented by good service and wine. Look forward to returning when in area. Also, their bread comes from their own bakery that turns out many more wonderful tasty delights.
Love, Love, Love our Della! Thank you for another wonderful evening.
Dave and Kathleen
There were 6 of us. We shared 3 apps, each had a main & shared 1 of each of the 4 desserts.
Everything was outstanding & timed well so we had a nice long & lovely time.No rushing.
We brought family from out of town & they were of course impressed right off the bat by the amazing & fun ambiance but more importantly by the food.
A very happy time was had by all.
Thank you Della Fattoria & bravo chef
Love everything about Della Fattoria from the bread/bakery to the morning coffee and scones to the fantastic restaurant for weekend brunch and exceptional evening dining.
This was my first time and I will definitely be back! Had great service and the food was very fresh and tasty.
Della Fattoria is among the best dining experiences in the North Bay. My dinner last Thursday night was superb in every way. The seasonal halibut was seared perfectly. I sampled three wines, a Bandol Rose, a delicious Chablis and a beautiful Gamay from Italy.
The service staff at Della is friendly, knowledgeable and attentive.
Della has the best lunch in Sonoma Valley and the in-house bakery is amazing.
This used to be one of my favorite places for breakfast and now it is one of my favorite places for dinner! We ordered the melon salad and it was refreshing and savory but looked so pretty I almost felt bad eating it. The other starter we had was the fritter and I can only say: Yum! I ordered the Fish of the day and it was grilled beautifully but I really loved the sides; seasonal and fresh. Then finally, we had dessert, which you must get because bread and pastry are their jam. We ordered an apple struddle that was so delicious, I had to peek in the kitchen to see if there was a little German Grandma hovering over the stove, turning out tasty treats. Want to give a shout out to the wait staff too as they were super sweet and gracious. They made us feel right at home. Thanks Guys for making us feel so special.
Great meal as always!
Gorgeous space. Fabulous food. Kind attentive staff. I love it here.
Every person in our party of seven loved the food. A real celebratory atmosphere, good service, and our large group was able to enjoy our conversation.
it took 3 and a half hours for dinner. Food was good and the waitstaff was excellent. the food took too long.
The restaurant accepted my reservation request and when we showed up, it was closed and appeared under construction!
