Della Fattoria Cafe is now open for dinner and accepting reservations three nights a week; Thursday, Friday and Saturday 5:30pm-9pm. Reservations for daily breakfast, lunch and brunch on the weekend are not necessary or needed.

Della Fattoria is the kind of place that can quickly
become an obsession. The family-owned Bakery and
Café is a favorite local hangout for its world-class menu
sourced from the freshest produce of local farmers,
ranchers, dairies, coffee roasters and wineries. Everything on the menu is delicious, sophisticated but causual. Service
is warm, professional and personal. Housed in an historic downtown building, the newly remodeled Café space is furnished with handmade tables and benches, antique chandeliers and overstuffed chairs and couches making it even harder to leave.

Really great food. Service was a bit slow, but we were not in any hurry and they comp our desert because of slower than usual kitchen service.

We tried DF two times in one week. The first was for Sunday Brunch. Outstanding! The ambiance in here is warehouse chic with all kinds of mismatched chandeliers and quirky decorations that come together beautifully and totally cool. The high ceilings allow for conversations in close quarters without a huge din in the background. Oh yeah, the food. Portioned perfectly and presented elegantly. I rarely order a burger but the DF burger is absolutely delicious. The Tuna Melt could be the best ever. And let's not forget the service: Attentive, polite, professional and on point. What a super brunch, but be prepared to wait in line for a while as the secret is out.

Back a few days later for Saturday night dinner. Evening ambiance is enhanced by expertly subtle lighting. Burrata is terrific and the squash fritter is amazing as starters. I had the Raviolo with short rib reduction--2 big ravioli that covered the entire plate. Delicate pasta and scrumptious beef filling. The pace is very relaxed--we were there over 3 hours and were never made to feel it was too long by the outstanding service team. What a great dinner experience.

The Weber's have truly made this a family operation with son Aaron in kitchen and daughter Eilsa handling all the decor and floral. Owner Kathleen greeted us and made us feel completely welcome and appreciated.

We will be back frequently even though we have plenty of dining options to choose from over the hill in Sonoma.

Full disclosure: Our son Frank has been with DF since the Cafe opened. That doesn't change a thing about how great DF is. THE new gem in Petaluma

Perhaps dinner is still being worked out but there were flaws in each of our 4 meals—-soupy polenta, a tender hamburger bun than crumbled apart at half-eaten, an amazingly flavorful cherry tomato tart with a tough crust and not enough custard so that cutting off a portion was almost impossible and then the tomato’s went rolling across the plate. Hope this is just the natural process...

Good for a soft opening. Decor was quite inventive. Waiter was sweet. Busboy not so much

We love the new dinning room but for our Saturday dinner.
Our salad and main course were a little over mediocre and dessert was outstanding.
Service was poor and noticed way bellow the level they try to be at. We also noticed "attitude" like hostess ignoring us when we came in, as she chatted with co-worker (Kathleen didn't see that).

An incredible dinner. The taste of the food from side dishes to dessert were outstandingbut. But the portion size of the main entree was a little small.
Even so, I would definitely go back for a special occasion.

The duck confit and polenta with havarti were fabulous and so were the desserts! The service and ambiance were both very good. I will certainly recommend Della Fattoria to anyone I know who is going to Petaluma.

The amount of food relative to the price could be better.
Everyone seemed a bit nervous.

Lovely to meet Kathleen after all of these years of thoroughly enjoying her bread baking.
Our waitress, Sarah was gracious, inciteful, and knowledgeable. The appetizers and salads were delightful, delicious and wonderfully presented. The entree - beef ribs lacked flavor and heartiness, hardly any meat. Desserts were boring but loved the ambiance. We will, however go back................ it's just a beginning.

Loved the food, the ambiance and the general feel. The service was OK-to-good, but it took forever for the food to come out... that said, our main courses were very late so they waived our corkage fee which was very nice of them to do. Overall, a great experience. We'll come back and try it again to see if the service is better.

Loved the atmosphere very beautiful, relaxing and enjoyable. Great and caring service, with explanation of the food served. Elegant looking but casual at the same time. Great wine list and excellent suggested pairing of food and wine. A little feeling of Paris in Petaluma!

We heard they were serving homemade lasagna for their Friday night dinner. We just had to try it. Being Della Fattoria our expectations were high. Nothing else on the menu except for the 4 courses they pre-determined it to be. I didn't mind that. Kind of like being served dinner at a friends home...eat what they serve. They began with a taste of calamari in a smooth and creamy red sauce. Next course was the burrata with edible greens and drizzled with olive oil and served with a warm, fresh baked roll that was absolutely sumptuous. We ordered another roll to split....it was that good. The main course Lasagna with bolognese was everything we had hoped. Homemade pasta was soft and almost creamy with layers of bolgnese sauce, spinach and very light on the cheese! Too many receipes call for over the top layers of cheese on cheese. Not this one. So perfectly well done! By the time the panna cotta with fresh cherries arrived we were pretty stuffed but no way we were going to say no. It was the best panna cotta we have ever had. Amazing. Our taste buds were tantalized the whole time. The atmosphere was very comfortable not too loud and the staff excellent. I should also mention we elected for the wine pairing $70.00 extra. Excellent pairings, Excellent food, it made for a very beautiful evening.

I’ve been a customer of Della for years. The food is excellent the service was friendly. Great remodel. My only complaint is that at $65 for the tasting menu they must do 1 of 2 things. Either add another small course or reduce the price to $50 pp at $65 is wasn’t adequate.

Anyone who hasn’t attended one or more of Della Dinners has missed out on a fabulous dining experience. We have been to several and they have all been over the top in every respect. The food is absolutely phenomenal and the ambiance of their new restaurant space is outstanding. I strongly suggest you sign up for dinner at this amazing place. We had Lamb Stew served in a ceramic pot hot from the oven and seasoned to perfection. The Sheep grazing salad was superb and we were given sweet roasted pecans with our pre dinner drinks. These dinners are not to be missed!
