Welcome to Delirium Cafe!

Delirium Café USA is the first United States location for the highly regarded international chain of beer-focused cafés anchored in Belgium. The original café began in the basement of a row house just off the Grand Place in downtown Brussels. As local college kids, international tourists, and discerning beer purists began to frequent it, the café grew. It expanded from the 1000sf basement to taking over an entire block, and is now a destination for beer lovers around the globe.

Delirium Café USA aims to merge the Belgian café experience with the local Loudoun flavor, and to provide an outstanding experience centered around great beer, wine, spirits, and food.

Our party of 4 had dinner on the patio inside one of the "bubbles". The heater was not adequate to keep us warm, despite us dressing for cold conditions. The usual patio furniture was too large for the bubble. Four chairs fit, but not a table, so we held our plates on our laps. Our server, Chad, was great! Attentive and very pleasant. The "bubbles" on the patio, as they currently are set up, are fine for drinks and snacks, if one is bundled-up for the cold. But heater upgrades and furniture changes to include a small table are needed to make them an enjoyable place to have a meal.

Disappointed with our meal here. We came for beer and mussels and at our dining time 4pm, they ran out. Ordered the schnitzel with high expectations and were very disappointed. The menu said it came with mustard potatoes and a salad. The salad was just a few greens thrown on top of the pork and French fries were on the plate instead of the mustard potatoes. The schnitzel itself was ok. Needed more lemon to add for flavor. Our server was awesome! The decor was fun and inviting. The merchandise is fantastic! It might be better to go just for the beer and apps and leave the main dishes alone.

Really bad experience: service was awful- from the unkind hostess to getting the wrong food. Incredibly loud, food was cold and their signature frites seemed to be from the end of the bucket - chopped off, dark brown, not delicious. Last time we dine at this place.

Only put one star but I honestly can’t review the restaurant since we weren’t able to dine there. We were able to make a 10 am reservation even though the restaurant didn’t open until 11.

When we got to the restaurant, we were surprised it was closed! We were on time for our reservation, but nobody told us it would close due to short of staff. We drove more than 30 miles to get there, but we were stood up. Very disappointed by the restaurant’s irresponsibility.

We had lunch here. The good: $5 Bloody Mary was excellent and waitress was attentive and helpful. The bad: kitchen had issues, it took an hour to get eggs and a burger. Food was ok, overpriced, and nothing out of the ordinary. I've been here before and remembered the food being better. Hopefully they just had a bad day.

Once our waitress brought our drinks, we never saw her again. There were problems with 3 out of 4 meals, but we were hungry and ate them anyway. Water never refilled. It’s nice to order online, but a problem when you never see your server. Now I see why they had last minute reservations available. Disappointed on our weekend getaway.
