The ambience was perfect for a classy birthday dinner with friends. The waiters were very friendly and accommodating offering shots on the house, which was very nice! We always enjoy Delilah and would recommend.
Went back to Delilah as the last time I went was straight off a 13 hours flight and couldn’t enjoy/appreciate the ambience and food fully.. however upon arriving at the restaurant, they had sat us on a corner of a very small table for 4.. (booked for 2) and once asked if we had to share the table or could be seated else where, the waitress was rather rude and told us they are fully booked and will be busy later on in the evening. Understandable if we saw at least half of the place full but they only had one other couple in the entire restaurant. We left as we did not want to have that type of service or energy and dined in Laurel Hardware & Employees Only instead and had a great night. Probably will not going back as these establishments need to understand that service is key and fundamental to running a great business and clearly the “exclusive” sceney vibe they are going for has ruined that priority here.
I had an absolutely fabulous evening here with some girlfriends. Food was great! The carrot soufflé is a must!
seating uncomfortable.... right by the kitchen so tons of traffic....
Staff and ambience was great. Food was underwhelming and definitely overpriced. Would not recommend for dinner.
The food was very disappointing.
Waitress was very unfriendly and rude
Food was sub par
They always seat us in back of restaurant, want to be in front
We had the Branzino + Mashed Potatoes & 3 drinks. Delicious! $180 meal.
Go there for the drinks and ambiance. The food was disappointing.
Fabulous evening, glamorous old Hollywood environment yet intimate and comfortable environment. There’s no bad table and the live music was refreshing.
Very hip restaurant that turns into a lounge with a great LA scene!
Amazing! Fun! Great food
Worst experience ever!!!!! They kicked us out of our table right after paying the bill. Worst place in all of LA!!!!
Overrated! The ambiance inside was a cool old Hollywood vibe, but some of the people here were questionable. The service was great. The food was just normal. For the price it was terrible. Very overrated. I could get the same food at your local steak chain. The desserts were so-so. Brownie tasted like it came from a box. Key lime pie was normal. The carrot cake was the best thing all night. Chicken fingers were something I could get from a chili’s. The truffle Mac n cheese was delicious I will say. All in all I was so excited to go there with my large party and was so disappointed for what we had to pay and what we got.
Food didnt slap me in the face. From the small selection u would have thought that was the case. Everything else was 💯💯💯 Good music and Good drinks 💯💯💯
Fun and elegant environment.
Great time !!
Overall it was a fantastic experience however the lamb this time was not as good as previous visits.
Excellence food and service however I found the restaurant to be a bit too dark and the music too loud - it was hard to hear members at our table.
It's a all about quality eater-tainment. The food was average and over-priced but I'm still going back. The atmosphere and service are reason enough to go.
Immediately on arrival we were told we only had 2hrs to be there as they are busy, that’s understandable had the restaurant ACTUALLY been busy throughout our time there. The looks we received and the workers constantly walking around us- not to ask if we needed anything but merely just to peer at us, was not what I expected. I was embarrassed as I was the one who planned our dinner that night, my colleagues were not impressed. I won’t pull the race card as uncomfortable as that may some, but needless to say, I will not be returning or recommending Delilah’s ever again, even after I’ve heard so many great things beforehand from other associates who are not of “color”. Maybe a change in staff or team culture may improve the experience for all.
Manager was fantastic- made sure we had our table on time
We had very high expectations, since so many people have talked about this as a must-try "hot spot." Unfortunately, my boyfriend and I both were underwhelmed. The food was disappointing - we had the mac and cheese, which came out cold, my salmon dish was overcooked and very dry, and the steak was good enough to please my hungry boyfriend, but could have been better considering the cost of the plate. For the price, it's not worth eating here. I would suggest dinner somewhere nearby and then head to this place for after-dinner drinks. The bartender was super fun and the drinks were delicious.
The vibe was great and the decor of this restaurant is amazing. Beautiful location. The food options were few, and everything we ordered was highly flavored. Too much salt in everything, too much garlic on everything. Our server was a gentleman. All in all we had a great time. Only recommendation would be change/update menus. And less salt.
Always a Great place to be with friends
A special place for special occasions!
I went to the restaurant to celebrate the birthday of my sister. I was not that happy with the staff, around 6 different people were at some point during the dinner at our table and came by too often; came over a bit arrogant and cocky. By the end of our dinner, I requested the waiter if we could sit by the bar, after which he ensured us the 2 free available seats. After we paid the check for the dinner, we walked to the bar seats; a second after we attempted to sit down, the general manager of the place - in an aggressive tone - comes to us and says we could not sit there under any circumstances; he was very direct, loud and unfriendly. He did not handle the situation well. We walked out of the restaurant with a bad feeling. I don’t recommend anyone this restaurant, the food is great but the management is not.
Delilah was delightful. The decor is enchanting and you do feel like you're in F. Scott Fitzgerald's world. The menu is reasonably priced for a hot spot and the food was excellent. I highly recommend the lamb balls, the steak and the truffle mac and cheese. They also have a fantastic margarita. The service is impeccable and ambiance is electric.
I was there with my friends and because I had a court order against someone the manager who said that his name was Path asked me to leave. Not only that they charged my card for $56 for the service I did not received. I told him that I have the judge order about the situation that the other person has to leave not me and he refuse to take me serious. In process of taking a legal action against Delila(manager).
Best place ever the food the ambiance and the music is amazing
This place is amazing. My girlfriend and I started by ordering drinks - which were delicious. I ordered the Champagne Papi(worth it + you can make more than one drink with it) and she ordered the Siena Nueva. We chose these drinks after asking the waiter for recommendations on drinks that were similar to mimosas and margaritas. For dinner we ordered the Filet Mignon, Branzino, Wild Mushrooms, and the Mac 'N' Cheese. The filet was soft and savory - paired with a red wine sauce! The branzino was great, we enjoyed the crispy texture of the outside. I thought the wild shrooms were the perfect pair for either of these dishes while my girlfriend was a fan of the mac and cheese. Thinking about coming back for jazz night :)
Best tuna tartare I’ve ever had, delicious branzino and very good service! Chairs and tables a bit uncomfortable and small but the food more than made up for it!
Amazing experience as always! Food, service and ambiance were all outstanding. And really appreciated the complimentary glass of champagne from the Manager as we were celebrating our Anniversary. Will definitely return many more times.
It was my wife’s birthday. We got there early (7 pm saturday) when it wasn’t busy. They gave us the worst table next to the bus boys workstation, utensils and napkin replacing drawer. There was no space in between my chair and the person sitting behind me at another table. The waiters, bus boys and others clients kept walking behind my chair running into my chair, hitting my back and head and kept on kicking into my chair all night long (for 2 hours). I kept moving forward when someone was walking behind me to give them space and so they don’t hit me on accident. i felt like it was a freaking earthquake under my chair. there was a fake plant on the side of our table and my wife was covered by it. The plant was literally looping back onto her face she was very bothered by it. Paid nearly $200 for the two of us to had the worst experience at supposedly one of the best restaurants. I would never go there again. This is my first review posting ever. Ive been to a million restaurants and i have never had a disappointing experience like i did last night.
The only complaint is the policy towards taking photos - c'mon, really! We live in a social media world and discreetly taking celebratory photos of my friends birthday or any special occasion for that matter puts a little blemish in the experience. Overall, we just feel that the trying to be "too cool factor" negates the actual "coolness" of the space. I mean, of course we are going to go back because we loved the food, the vibe, the service, etc, but just hope you can all reconsider this policy. Thank You!
Delilah wins on ambiance, as the decor and servers attire transport you back to the 1920s prohibition era. It truly feels like a speakeasy, with the burlesque dancers (who were a little less exciting I must say) dim lights and jazz singers. After 10 the place transitions to more of a party atmosphere, but still reserves the intimacy. Strongly suggest you make a reservation, there is a two hour time limit at the the table but not the bar. Our bartender was excellent! Oh and no pics, to reserve the exclusive vibe of the place. The food was OK, the ambiance makes up for it!
Great place as always !!!!
Hands down my favorite place in weho!
Overall experience was underwhelming and humiliating. First of all their instagram page does not portray an accurate perception of the place. It was extremely dark and more roaring 20’s with a much older snooty clientele, the actual judgement and side eye myself and friends received as we walked to our seat was shocking. As i took a picture of my friend in a closed in boot (no one else in the shot) we were told to put our phones away which made us feel like we had done something inappropriate. Our order was wrong on two occasions. Mac & Cheese was less cheese and more overload of garlic. Food was ok but extremely overpriced for what was served. When the bill arrived 20% was added on but also was a list of suggested gratuity there was no mention of a standard 20% charge so we gave 10% as we felt that was all that was warranted based on our experience. We left the restaurant to wait for our uber outside and as we waited the waitress raced outside to tell us we left our bill short extremely humiliating! We explained that the bill listed suggested gratuity she said yes but that their policy was 20% and we had to pay it. Myself and friends went to Craig’s on a previous night where the clientele was of A list caliber, we were made to feel so welcome, the food was above and beyond Delilah’s and at half the price. Delilah’s is extremely pretentious and would not go back and would suggest people avoid and spend their money else where.
