This place gets kudos for creativity and service, but to be honest, French food should probably never be made vegan. The “foie gras” and “escargot” were both tasty, but the “steak frites” was just not good. Tasted like unflavored meat loaf. Fries were fine, but the crepe for dessert was sadly disappointing. Overall, food was fine, but I won’t be going back. If you’re strictly vegan you may like it, but if you’re not, go to Boucherie next door.
It doesn’t matter what you pick off the menu, you can’t go wrong. So much love and thought was put into each dish. Everyone who works here is a pleasure. I can’t wait to go back again.
Fantastic in every way. My favorite restaurant in NYC❤️
Really enjoyed my experience here. Went with my mom and a friend. Neither are vegan but I am. I loved the small, cozy space. The waiter was really nice. Checked our vaccine cards. Gave menu suggestions.
Liked pasta, imposible steak, cheese plate, carrot soup, apple crepe, banana chocolate crepe, Chardonnay. Did not care for the foie gras. Will be back again.
This was a unique find here in NYC. The French cuisine inspired vegan dishes were terrific.
Absolutely astounding vegan food; I can't recommend this place more highly. The cheese plate is an absolutely delight and a must for any vegans looking for that cheesy goodness. Incredibly delicious crepes and desserts. A+, best restaurant I visited in my week in NYC.
Scallops were delish!
Everything was fantastic. Unique food for vegan restaurant. Loved the vegan cheeses.
Excellent vegan food. Always well-made and excellent service. Would recommend for a nice dinner out.
The outdoor setup is lovely. The food was amazing - particularly the macadamia warmed brie and fois gras.
As a vegetarian I love vegetables and the fresh taste of crispy green food. This is a nice restaurant. Cute. The French aspect is cosy. However no matter how hard you try you’ll never get veggies to taste like meat. I missed more fresh and light dishes. If I was a meat eater I might enjoy the unusual experience. Glad I tried it but doubt I’ll return. Service was friendly and good. Simply not my kind of food.
The food here is DELICIOUS!! My first time able to eat at a French restaurant since becoming vegan 10 years ago. The food is incredible and authentic and was equally loved by my omnivore partner.
Delicious! Was recommended to us by a friend, and everything from the service to the food was impeccable!
Absolutely amazing for vegans and nonvegans alike!
Terrific food, wonderful service, lovely ambience, really couldn't have been more enjoyable. Highly recommend this delightful gem.
Lovely night of surprising French cuisine , can’t wait to try the crepes
this place is awesome for a different type of vegan food! feels very fancy, which a lot of vegan restaurants don’t. would definitely recommend trying for vegans and non vegans
Unbelievably great vegan food in a charming little restaurant in the West Village.
Amazing food and excellent service!! Mathias had great recommendations and very attentive.
Fantastic vegan food in an authentically French atmosphere
Such a bold idea to make French food vegan! The menu is very interesting. Food was delicious (and I am not even vegan). I recommend visiting this place!
We had a lovely French vegan meal here. The service, atmosphere and ambiance were a lovely setting for our meal. We had appetizers, entrees, wine, dessert and cappuccino. We were so happy to be dining out again, and this was the perfect place for us.
Loved it , food was great water was accomodatibg
Cute spot to catchup with old friends and enjoy the night. Definitely recommend!!
This was a lovely experience! When walking in, I found the restaurant to be extremely charming, boasting a beautiful space inside and out. The atmosphere felt intimate and relaxed.
The food! Oh the food! Of course this is a vegan restaurant that makes of their vegan meats and cheeses in house! Highly recommend starting with the charcuterie board - each cheese uniquely exquisite in taste and texture. I had the Boeuf Bourgogne and my boyfriend had the Club Sandwich, both soy free and full of surprises. Each dish was delicious and pleasing in flavor and texture. The wine was also absolutely wonderful (we had the Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and the Merlot-Cabernet) and paired excellently with our dishes. Lastly, we indulged in dessert - the creme brûlée was perfect!
Overall, I would highly recommend this restaurant. They have been in business for 7 years, initially only serving vegan crepes. We will be back to try a crepe (or two) in addition to trying all the other wonderful items on the menu (like the Coq au Vin).
Great & Lovely French-Vegan Restaurant. As The Third Eye Of Humanity Awakens, Purveyors Of Fine Vegan Cuisine, Such As D&S, Will Flourish With The Cultural Zeitgeist.
Delicious flavors and overall a lovely experience
Awkward to share because they only have hors d'oeuvres plates - next time will order own entrees and then taste each others' or pass bowls/plates. But extremely tasty, each individual had their own favorites. Probably best for two, which is what most of the seating is for. For vegans and those who love them. Pricey but worth it for special occasions.
Everything was incredible- can’t wait to come back!
Everything was delicious and I only wish I could have tried the whole menu, so I’ll have to come back!
The food tasted amazing and the vibe of the restaurant felt very cozy and homey I loved it.
The food is creative, extremely tasty and true to the French style. We ate outside on a hot evening. More fans would be great.
I don’t really want to put much energy into the review. Suffice it to say the service was slow and that the French onion soup and entrees were mediocre, especially at this price point. The crepes were better, as was the mousse, though there was an unexpected citrus flavor in that. I liked our waiter well enough—nice guy—but too many times we were waiting for assistance and more water. Subpar experience for a place that costs more than many other options we considered.
Absolutely loved this restaurant! It’s ambiance, cozy feel, lovely light music, all of it came together beautifully. Not to mention, the food was perfect. My partner and I have a lovely time!
Lovely! Delicious food, original recipes, great service. Will be back soon!
Great food and experience as always.
We enjoyed a delicious dinner with an unusual approach to French cooking- no butter….no cream! But we didnt miss those ingredients as the food was prepared with all plant based goodness.
Service was fantastic, down to earth and knowledgable about the dishes. I didn’t know vegan could taste this good!
Wonderful place. Every plate we ordered was delicious. Highly recommend the cheese plate, the flavours were so unique and delicate. Loved this place and would recommend 100%!
